The 2nd heirs of Chicagoland book is 1.99 today for kindle Wicked Hour (
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...)

I listen while making dinner at a minimum and i had been when driving to errands, but my drives are very short - just to the grocery - and i have been leaving my phone home for those outtings to keep from having to remember to sterilize it.
I think I actually purchased the Elder Races in audio, an Oracle Moon relisten might be just the thing... Thanks for the reminder Kristi.

Hope everyone is okay. This was pretty cute dragonshifter sci fi romance
Metal Dragon

Anyone have good Audible Escape Recs ? I just finished
Nightshifted in audio - turns out that I'd read it when it first came out - I didn't remember anything about it until near the end - even then it wasn't the main thrust of the story just a side thing. Rereading my review I felt pretty much the same as I did on the first read, other than I am pickier now. I never got around to the second book back then, but am listening to it now - since it's free. Don't know that I will continue on with the rest of the series, since the book are still 7.99 The second one is more interesting so far.

This one was fun
Bait N' Witch and only .99, I didn't realize it was book 3, but it wasn't a problem to jump in. It was a dad falls for the nanny trope mashed with witch falls for the witch hunter who is supposed to track her down. She's quite likable and does a good job of wrangling preteen triplet witchlets.

The first Asil one was in this anthology
A Fantastic Holiday Season: The Gift of Stories - it was fun
The second one is here
Fantastic Hope - its pricey for what will probably be two shorts that i will likely read...

Hope everyone is doing well.
This was a short but enjoyable trip back to Charlie Davidson's 'verse,
The Graveyard Shift. Garret Swopes, who's on Beep's protection detail is in the lead. There will also be a short for Quentin and Amber.

I needed a comfort read, so I did a reread of "Grace of Small Magics" from
Small Magics. I just love this short story. Ilona Andrews has some amazing ones. My other favorites are
Silent Blade and
A Mere Formality. These all have amazing female leads.

I had been reading a cute cozy mystery series the
The Wonkiest Witch but book three ended in a cliffy and looking for what happens in the spoilers for the next couple books I decided that the series isn't going to satisfy my inner romance reader. So, I am not continuing. I really am just reading lite stuff right now. Well I did do
Chaos Reigning in audio, like this series. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy, I am still hoping life will eventually be less "interesting" ...

Make Mine Magic -(thanks to vanessa for the rec) was enjoyable and the reader was good. It was nice to read about a smart heroine. Especially after reading Touched, where the leading lady kept doing stupid things with near fatal results - too bad because there was a lot of promise in the set up and the world building(i didn't care for the lust triangle either - but then again I am over vamp romances after all these years)

I just finished
Night Shift Dragons it was the last book in the DFZ trilogy which was a follow on to the Heartstrikers series. This was so good. I definitely recommend both series.
Storm of Fury was really good - I loved Tormund. The set up for the next one is promising to steamy enemies to lovers.
Lulu wrote: "Vanessa, thank you, that helps. I'm torn about reading it as I'd like to continue on in this world and I do like Midas very much."I second Vanessa's comments and I wasn't looking forward to "hadley" books either.

I read the new glimmer lake
Semi-Psychic Life it was a decent addition to the series.
Most of what I've been reading falls into the cute category
Parental GuidanceThe Treble With Men - phantom of the opera inspired set in the PennyReidverse
Chasing Cassandra

A ray of light in the gloom for our family, our fifth grandchild was born last week. 9.5 lb..."Congrats on the new addition, good news is so refreshing!
Vanessa wrote: "I haven't been doing much reading myself. I continually seem to find things to clean or things to cook around my house. I go to physical therapy for my shoulder, which was just upped to twice a wee..."Thanks for mentioning the mystic bayou audio :)

I am not doing as much reading - doing lots more cooking - but I've read
How to Survive an Undead Honeymoon - still cute but gushing over linus is starting to get a little ... much, not quite the right word, justs needs to be more in the background.
And
Breaking and Entering 101 - still liking these
