Looloo, you could always try and sell your duplicate copy yourself and use the money for more books, or just trade it for that matter.

22225 I went to Anderson's Bookshop today for a book signing. Kim Harrison signed For a Few Demons More for me and Kelley Armstrong signed Frostbitten. I also bought the great The Body Finder and got Kimberly Derting's autograph. I bought a previously signed Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper and also bought Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine and Toads and Diamonds by Heather Tomlinson. In addition, I got my Thriftsbook delivery of Strip Search by William Bernhardt and Still Waters: A Mystery by Nigel McCrery. Not a bad day at all, book-wise.

A Half Price Books store just opened in my area and I love it! I went to the grand opening this weekend and came home with 19 books. Not only are the prices great, but this has to be the best organized used book store I have ever seen. If you have one in your area, this is a store you definately want to visit.

22225 Valerie, yeah, I did get some great finds. I now am up to date with all of Sue Grafton's mysteries and I also now have every Capital Crimes mystery that Margaret Truman wrote. I got a great price for The Swan Thieves, too. Not only was it originally priced for 50% off, but I had a 50% off coupon, too!

22225 My friends, I must say I've felt like I was going through withdrawal reading about the great amounts that you've bought so far this month and I haven't. Well, I got a great "dose" of books this weekend. A new used-book store just opened in my area, the closest one to me, only 20 minutes away, and it's both a blessing and a curse. At Half Price Books I bought 19 books, but I can honestly say I did not spend a single cent of my paycheck. I spent my tax return instead. ;-)

The books I got to add to my library are:
Nevada Barr's Winter Study, Endangered Species, Track of the Cat, and Blood Lure

Margaret Truman's Murder in Foggy Bottom and Murder at the Opera

Elizabeth Peters's Lord of the Silent, Guardian of the Horizon, The Curse of the Pharaohs, and Children of the Storm

Patricia Briggs's Moon Called

Sue Grafton's B is for Burglar and J is for Judgment

James D. Doss's White Shell Woman and The Night Visitor

Nancy Farmer's A Girl Named Disaster

Clive Cussler's Night Probe!

Ellis Peters's Brother Cadfael's Penance: The Twentieth Chronicle of Brother Cadfael and The Sanctuary Sparrow: The Seventh Chronicle of Brother Cadfael

Elizabeth Kostova's The Swan Thieves

Half Price Books is a dangerous place for a bibliophile to go, it's practically an enabler for our addiction. lol

22225 Gallifreyan, you're going to like Nine Gates and Thirteen Orphans. FYI, the third in the series Five Odd Honors is coming out end of May or beginning of June, I believe.

22225 Alexandra wrote: "I read less than a book a month."

I'm not that bad, I love to read, but I think I love to collect a smidge more. Out of my collection, one third is nonfiction/reference, one third is fiction I have read, and one third is fiction I have collected mainly because I like to have complete sets/series and/or just have certain books of certain themes/subjects. I tend to read on average 20 books a month, but the number I buy on average is probably just a little more, maybe around 25.

22225 My first May purchase was an arrival from Borders. Hook and Jill is an awesome retelling of the story of Peter Pan. I first checked it out of the library and after reading it I knew I had to own it so I could reread it whenever I wanted. This is such a deep book I just know that there is more to get from it than just one reading could get.
