Tell me about it. Mine is doing the exact same thing to me! lol
22225 Gotcha. :-)
22225 CD, is this list fiction or nonfiction, or both?
Mar 26, 2010 09:43AM

22225 Good, I was hoping that would help make clearer what I was trying to get going here. :-)
Mar 26, 2010 09:35AM

22225 Yep, that would be just fine CD. Go ahead and create a new topic with that as the subject under this folder.

22225 I guess I wasn't too clear when I start this. My goal was to create a folder for new threads to be started, lists of different genres. Please don't add suggestions here, make new topics instead.

Just a thought, maybe we should try narrower lists. Those other three are pretty broad topics. Go ahead and create narrower threads for them if you can think of some. Like maybe Fantasies With Elves instead of just Fantasy.

22225 I thought I'd start a list of Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance series I'd suggest to others as good reading.
I'm aiming to list SERIES here, not stand alone single books.
Feel free to add to the list, but let's try not to duplicate, ok?

Nora Robert’s The Circle Trilogy
Patricia Briggs’s Mercedes Thompson series
Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series
Faith Hunter’s Jane Yellowrock series
Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampires series
Carrie Vaughn’s Kitty Norville series
Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series
Carole Nelson Douglas’s Delilah Street, Paranormal Investigator series
Justin Gustainis’s Quincy Morris Supernatural Investigation series
C. E. Murphy’s The Negotiator Trilogy
Christine Warren’s The Others series
Yasmine Galenorn’s Sisters of the Moon/Otherworld series
Kim Harrison’s Rachel Morgan series
Mercedes Lackey’s Diana Tregarde Investigation series

22225 I've noticed a lot of us Book Buying Addicts tend to buy quite a bit of the same genres and themes so I thought it might be a good idea to create a folder where we can just list our suggestions of if you like this you might want to check out that sort of things. Feel free to CREATE YOUR OWN THREADS in this folder. DON'T add suggestions under this topic heading, make new ones instead, ok?
22225 I average about 4 new books a month, but my purchasing of used books may range anywhere from 50 to 0 depending on what I come across at the library.

22225 Rosalie wrote: "Have you read THE LADY AND THE UNICORN? It is one of my favorite Chevalier's books." Yep, one of my favs of her works, too. She does great art-themed historical fiction.

Rosalie, that is so sweet and wonderful to hear! Lucky you. :-)

22225 I just got Murder Inside the Beltway by Margaret Truman, used from the library. That brings me up to 13.

I must say, looking at some of the other numbers you people are reporting, I feel like I'm not buying as much as I should. lol.

The Big Four is not one of Christie's better Poirot cases, IMO. It was one of her first, though, so she was just warming up. They definately get better, as I'm sure you've seen already.

22225 This one's not so much as a purchase as an acclimation. My first win from a Goodread's giveaway arrived yesterday: The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott by Kelly O'Connor McNees.
