152301 I'd the same thing but if I remember well it often happens with these types of sites. They lack a page to confirm the vote is saved.
152301 Good luck with this silly book :D
It's a great classic, but really not for everyone.

152301 Hi Jessica :)

Good to know you are around! Life can be really complicated and harsh, you have/had difficult things to deal with, so I hope you're busy with nice and comforting things now.

The group is doing well, there are sweet people here and good books, it's enough to give some nice additional feelings to an interesting challenge :)

152301 1. What time of year do you read the most? Why?
I used to read mostly on holidays because I hadn't enough time the rest of the year. Now, I've no work to do at home, so I've more time to read. I read the most on weekends.

2. What activities interfere with your reading time?
Working, sleeping, Internet, watching tv shows, doing dishes, walking the cats, spending time with friends/family. In this order.

3. How do you fit reading into your busy schedule?
I try to read before going to bed and I start my weekends with a book. When I go outside, I bring some ebooks so I can read them if I want.

152301 For those who don't know (like me), the Newbery Medal is an award for children books, since 1922!
152301 Yeah, I agree, I've already difficulties to choose my top 4!
152301 Keep going :D
Tom was not the best part in the book. However, I like Frodo!
152301 Done! Thanks everybody.

152301 What did you read this week? Stargirl

Did you enjoy the book? Yes, the main topic (being different) was really interesting and I liked how the author deals with it. I liked the characters too.

How long was your book? 186p according Goodreads.

Are there some authors you usually read in a day because their books are compelling? Not often, but I usually read Pratchett's books in a day, I can't put them down.
152301 When I suggested the rule, it was just about the previous poll, not several ones, because I don't want that the most active members have no possibilities to suggest weeks. I'm ok to use a bigger rule for some polls, but not all the time ;)

152301 We are halfway done with Week 27! It's a good week to choose a short book and have some time to catch-up or have side-reads.

This discussion thread is solely for your progress. (Book discussions go in individual threads.)

152301 Dr Seuss is never cheating :D I'm not sure I really like his stories but the ideas inside them are really great. I've to read this one :)

152301 Just finished some chapters about Pixar, they were really interesting (I'm a huge Pixar fan).
It was fun to read about the 1st advertising for the Apple products and to watch to commercials on Internet. I checked some pictures for the computers too.
I liked the parts with Jobs' kids, but as for the rest, I miss his own thoughts about the events.

152301 Great, I'm happy to see the beautiful title and the different continent here :)
I'll have a lot of choices for the YA book, but for the moment, I've no idea for the author I should have read (anyway, I'm sure there are good lists for this).

152301 Week 36: a book with a love triangle.
September 3 - September 9, 2015

This week topic will be a bit challenging as love triangles are not usually painted on the cover. You'll have to find a book where people are in love, it can be 2 persons loving the same one, one person loving 2 people... You'll probably become crazy reading this and maybe you'll end the book with a "whyyyyy did he/she choose this one???", but try to have fun with all this romantic thing.

How to Create a Topic:
1. Create a topic in the appropriate folder using your book's author and title (Title by Author, please). Link your book with the "This topic is about" feature.

2. In the body of your post, comment about why you chose this book. Have you read it before? What are your expectations?

3. Feel free to use the thread as a way to update the group on your progress. Also, when you are finished reading, add a small review and your thoughts about the week's challenge.

4. Comment on everyone else's posts as well! Participation and group involvement will make this challenge so much fun!

**If you chose the same book as another group member for the same week, do not create a duplicate thread.**
