The Gillian Anderson books were really good. I wasn't expecting a lot, but I really got into them. So I read too but the third one does not come out until September or later of this year.Almost finished with Horns. One disc left. That one was good if you like the Stephen King type of writing. There were some surprises at the end. It's not going to be for everyone, but growing up on Stephen King, I enjoyed his son's book.
Well, I came down w/ pneumonia, along w/ my daughter & husband so that has put me behind about a week. No getting to the library or trying an Aidan cookbook yet. I just finished Felicia Day's You're Never Weird on the Internet last night. I really enjoyed her honesty. I started Gillian Anderson's series. I wasn't expecting much truthfully, but it's been good so far.
No progress on Horns on my CD since I have' been driving anywhere w/ this illness.
Funny! I just read two of Ree Drummands cookbooks, but they can't count. I love to cook so I will enjoy this challenge. Asian might be a good one for me to try. I love Asian food, but haven't ventured past fried rice & egg drop soup.
I finished a historical romance, Mistress by Christmas. Not was humorous which I enjoyed. Now I have Horns in the CD player and I can't play it at all if the kids are in the car because there are a LOT of inappropriate parts I wouldn't want them to hear. Ha ha. Also reading The Forogtten by Heather Graham. It's okay, but not that exciting.
I'm doing 2 of these! I already started HORNS which is normally not a read I would pick up anymore, but 35 years ago I used to read Stephen King (his son) so I thought I would try it out. Also, I am going to read Felicia Day's new book. Usually I read 90% fiction.
I made it to 32 books this year. Last year I read 52. I started off with a bang last year & plan to do the same this year, but not lose momentum. Ha ha. Happy New Year!
I finished The Martian & it was really gripping. Very science/geeky, but I liked that part of it too. Now, I wanted to read something light so I picked up a romance. It's full of spelling & grammatical errors. I've never quit on a book, but I'm debating it on this one. Ha ha.
I'll add that one to my list of books to read! I read a quick romance novel during our 11 day Florida vacation. We were so busy & exhausted from the theme parks that I needed someone mindless. Now I have started The Martian. So far I am hooked!
Even if you've read Harry Potter, I loved the audiobooks because the narrator had a different voice/accent for each character.
Interesting reads Liz. I am WAY behind on my reading. Daughter's dance team schedule & our camping trip interfered. Since we camp with a group of families I end up talking, not reading. I did finish Brave New World & am still reading Fangirl right now.
I've been behind on my reading due to helping get ready for teacher appreciation week. Gotta get back on the horse!
I'm at the beach & reading Area 51 Nighstalkers. It's scifi & so far I really like it. It's a series. I am almost finished with Brave New World on CD, but had to put it on hold since we have had the kids in the car so much during spring break. I read Starstruck, bu Alice Ward, for something easy. The main character smoked pot through the whole book, which wasn't my cup of tea.
