I try to be open minded. Twilight movie was not how I envisioned for casting, but I still liked the movie. Loved the Shutter Island movie. Didn't like Beautiful Creatures at all. Harry Potter movies were mostly great! I will still go see the movies & then decide.
I just read a couple of romances set in Alaska. Since we went on an Alaskan vacation last summer I really enjoyed them & might seek out some more.
I always have a book with me. If I have to wait in a doctor's office, a little early picking the children up from sports, if the bridge is up...if I have a book it doesn't bother me to wait.
I am reading a romance called Game On. The main characters a football player and I love football. Just finished the third twin. It wasn't too bad.
Hi everyone! My name is Ingrid. I've been reading since I was three years old and I remember being allowed to walk to the library alone, when I was eight years old, and being able to check out my own books!I have been to libraries all over the United States and even in Sweden. We moved a lot with the military! I loved one of the libraries that was in an old church in a small town where we lived.
This will be my third or fourth time in the library challenge. How many years has it been around? LOL.
I love reading sci-fi and teen apocalyptic books, but I also read lots of other things as well.
Super excited! Last year I started off strong & faded after school started back. This year I want to keep reading all year!
I haven't read the thing that has scared me in a long time. The last books that really scared me were Pet cemetery and It. Then I had to stop reading things it scared me.
I have read a few tween apocalyptic books right in a row. The Eleventh Plague, The Testing & now Legend. All have been good.
If I'm on the fence about a book I will read some reviews. No spoilers though. If it's a good book that's been recommended or a lot of people have been reading it then I will read it without checking in the reviews.
Just got back from Alaska! I read a mindless sci fi romance & also finished In a Dark Dark Wood. That was a good book! Now I want to read her other book.I started The Eleventh Plague & am also reading The Testing.
On the cruise, an author gave a lecture w/ his daughter. He had taken her to the wilderness of Alaska when she was 15 & wrote a book about it. Excited to start that one once I can find it in all the unpacking!
Real life has been getting in the way of my reading too. I do have a Linda Hamilton CD in my vehicle, but I'm not crazy about it. The Laughing Corpse. Of course since I'm stubborn I have to finish a book I started so I'm trying to push through it.I'm reading The Testing which is good so far but still something I can put down.
We are going to be heading to Alaska and I really want to take something gripping with me. Any suggestions?
Always have a book with you so even if there is a small amount of down time you can get some reading in. Waiting for the doctor, a car repair & such.
Crank. All about a girl's life falling apart after getting addicted to drugs. I was mesmerized & found it so sad, but understood so much more about how hard it is to kick after this one.
Life & Death. The reverse of Twilight where the vampire is the female. I thought it was horrible & the boy seemed so wimpy since the girl was the strong one. Ha ha
