All my holds came in at once so I will be reading like a fiend! Right now I’m ready The Darkest Secret by Marwood. In my car I have Dry by Neal Shusterman which I highly recommend. It’s fiction about what happens when California runs out of water.
I’m sick w/ the flu so lots of reading when I feel up to it. Finished Nora Roberts Blood & Bone. It was good. Now reading Yule Log Murder. Not a fan of this book, but will finish it.
I love prizes! I need to catch up on logging the books I have read. School started and & I am way behind. I’m getting a lot of reading in waiting for kids to come out of practices though!
I’m ready A Simple Favor. Finished The Mermaid & Mrs. Hancock which I thoroughly enjoyed!
I am about finished with the 52 books, but still need to log a lot. I just finished The Lies Between Us which was good & am starting The Cabin at the End of the World.
My son had to read & write a paper on a banned book in 9th grade English last year. I loved that they did that assignment!
I am reading Into the Storm by Taylor Anderson. It is set in World War II and we just came back from Europe, then suddenly it turned into a mix with dinosaurs so now it’s like WW II meets land of the lost. HA HA
Since we have come back from Europe, including a week in Germany, I have wanted to read some historical fiction set in the WW2 time frame. Totally out of character for me!So I am finishing Munich by Robert Harris. It’s good, but not quite as spy thriller as I was thinking.
With school starting for the kids & a busy chauffeur schedule for me, I always have a book on CD, as well as a physical book in the van.
I have a Harlan Corbin book on CD at the moment.
In between I threw in a highlander historical fiction. Ha ha.
I wanted Annihilation to go on more then the 3 books. It had me in such suspense wondering what was really happening!
I’ve always liked musical & some plays. Maybe when my kids head off for college I’ll get to indulge more!
We usually get together with friends, but they went on a cruise so it might be a quiet cookout for just us. Reading is definitely on the agenda!
I have to decide what books I am taking to Europe & whether they will be physical books or on my kindle. The Death of Mrs Westaway & The Book of M are possible choices.
I’ve been trying to read some off my huge “want to read” list because the list is growing faster then i can read. Ha ha
Harry Potter for me also! Sad about that because I only saw the last one in the theatre & wish I had read them & saw the movies as they had been made. Also, 50 Shades of Grey. Not really up my alley, but finally read them so I would know what everyone was talking about.
I reread Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, Twilight, Fahrenheit 451. There is definitely some comfort in picking up a favorite book!
I’m on the 3rd book in the Red Rising series. The Last Magician was an amazing book. Finished that the other week
For some reason funny books don’t grip my attention. Maybe I should try one again. I seem to seek the fight or flight adrenaline when I read.
