I’m reading Darker. Not the hugest fan of these books, but still like to keep current on what so many others are reading. Just finished Artemis by Andy Weir. It was a god book, but not as good as The Martian.
Yay for a participation prize!I am reading Artemis, Andy Weir’s new book. It isn’t as good as The Martian, but I am only 1/3 through so maybe it will end up getting better.
I just finished Between Shades if Gray. It was hard to put down even though it was not a book i initially wanted to read. My son was behind on reading from having the stomach bug so I read 10 chapters to him & then couldn’t stop reading.
I broke all my reading records & have read over 60 books. Finished The Dying Game which I enjoyed since it was set in Stockholm & I am 1/2 Swedish.
Next I’m reading The Lying Game.
Not dressing up, but putting my chili together tonight so the flavors blend for tomorrow. That is our traditional meal on Halloween. I am reading The Dying Game & it’s good. It’s set in future Stockholm & my dad is from Sweden.
The Goldfinch is in my CD player & I am almost 1/2 way through. Not my typical read, but it is very good writing.
Dean Koontz is good for creepy without being as scary as Stephen King. I’ve read most of both.
Enjoy Halloween!
Just finished What Alice Forgot. What I forgot was that I had read it a long time ago. Ha ha. I reread it though & enjoyed it the 2nd time. Now I am reading Dream Fall.
In the van I have Goldfinch going, but is so wordy. It just goes on & on. Haven’t decided it I’m going to finish it. I’m on disc 5.
I just finished Big Little Lies. Good book. Ink & Bone was before that along with some quick romances that were bland. I just started The Woman in Cabin 10 and have the CD When in my van. Thanks for the recommendation on Dear....just put a hold on it.
Now please send in some cooler weather so I can cuddle with the fire going! Ha ha
I just finished listening to The Gingerbread Girl by Stephen King. I was surprised it was only two discs. For reading, I picked up my first Jonathan Kellerman book. Evidence. It's not as fast paced as I usually like, but it's still good.
Thanks so much for your quick response! I won't worry about it. I was just going to fix it if I could.Enjoy your day!
Question. When I went to log in my books for the challenge, I accidently hit "I read a book" without tapping the other part about logging my book.So my count is off by at least 3 books.
So I've read & logged 46 I think, but it shows I've read 49 or so.
Is there any way to take the blank ones off?
I hope this makes sense.
I just finished Final Girls. Total surprise ending, but felt long in the middle for a bit. Now I'm reading The Secrets She Keeps.
Why is it that if I put a hand DL on 5 books, they all come in the same week, even when there's a waiting list? Ha ha
I read Dean Koontz's book, ashley bell, in 48 hours! This is unbelievable because there were 716 pages in that paper back! After reading that and the book, Into the Water, I have thrown in some historical romances for a quick and light reads.
I was sick w/ a fever, but I enjoyed a plate of leftovers from my parent's cookout. Since I was sick, I had plenty of time to read so I read Into the Water in 24 hours!
Then in the next 24 hours I read 2 Debbie Macomber books. I like the Alaska ones, but she spends all this time w/ them trying to stay a part & I swear just 3 pages when they reunite. Ha ha.
Foxlowe is my favorite book so far this year! I always do great on the reading challenge when it starts, fall behind during the summer & then race to catch back up at Thanksgiving!
