Well I read enough Harry Potter yesterday to dream about it and still have enough leftover for tonight. Hurry up, work!!

@ Renee - I'd like to hear what you think of The Doomsday Book, so my vote's for that one ;)
@ Camille - yes, contemporary is something written (and set) within around the last 30 years.

Deborah, we're doing a buddy read of the Harry Potter series if you want to join us over there - doesn't matter how fast or what order you're reading in as long as you mark spoilers!
I'm onto Goblet of Fire now - hoping to read it all today for the readathon.

Same here! I read all the books on release, but have watched the films countless times and I can't remember what my initial impressions from the books were now. They did so well casting the movies that I'm ok with that, I think.
I'm onto Goblet of Fire now too. I'm finding that the longer books are better to re-read since they couldn't include everything in the movies. So much fun.

It's never too late to jump in, Brenda!

Just finished Silkworm and feeling very satisfied.

Those are two of my favorite series, Jenn, even though I haven't read all the books yet. I'm glad to hear the Penric stories are good. I'm so glad she's writing more in that world!

Oh no, migraines are no fun - hope you're feeling better, Vero.
Renee wrote: "Ooo! I just loved Agnes and the Hitman! Jennifer Crusie just cracks me up. If you decide you enjoyed this one enough to read more, I recommend Bet Me, [book:Welcome to T..."Thanks, Renee, I'll check those out!

I agree, Princess Bride would work because of the fictional lands of Florin and Gilder.

Honestly, those are the best parts! :)

I finished up
Agnes and the Hitman this morning (for a book club I'm in), and was surprised to like it. It's chick lit, which I don't read very often, but also suspense. Full of murders, mobsters, cooking and wedding prep - a combo that worked, believe it or not.
Now I'm onto
The Silkworm, which I've been saving for a time when I could read it with as few breaks as possible. Perfect for a readathon on a holiday weekend!

Glad you're joining us, Iasa!

Jenny, glad to have you join us!

That does sound good, Renee!

Welcome, Anne! I hope you find some challenges here to interest you.

Nice. Do you know yet what you're planning for the final piece of pie?
