118012 I'm so tempted to join in. I've never re-read Harry Potter, but have been meaning to for ages. I could possibly be talked into it now, but I might have to drop some other things.

118012 Good luck, Holly!

There's something about the changing seasons that does affect what kinds of books I feel like reading. Different types feel cozy depending on the weather, I guess. Summer for some reason feels like Dickens and thrillers... interesting mix, but there you go.

When I have some time off work, I look for something special that I might want to read all day (or half the night), since I can. Something by a favorite author or that I've been looking forward to. Something that I would hate to have to stop in the middle for work. I'm not sure what that will be yet this year, but I'll find out soon!

118012 That makes the title sound like something completely different, lol.
118012 I used to live on the German-Swiss border, so I know what you mean about the dialects!

Thanks, Candy! Since none of the Chick Lit beach reads are appealing to me, maybe this will!

118012 Seems like the perfect time for a fluffy, light book like The Peach Keeper.

118012 I plan to read The Moth for this one.

118012 Thanks for the feedback, Alessandra! It's all really helpful.

I wonder how we could promote buddy reads more. I like that idea.

118012 Renee, if you go to the page for the audio edition, there should be a link to 'review this edition' in really small text next to "My Review." That should add another edition to your shelf, leaving the earlier one intact.

118012 Noted!

I've had a couple false starts myself for this challenge. Still trying to settle on something!

118012 Lol, can't wait. :)

118012 These procreation sonnets are incredible! I now feel like such a waste of a human being for not having children.
118012 (I realize I just stereotyped Texans. Sorry!)
118012 I just finished this last night. I also really enjoyed the parents, and how they have real struggles, make mistakes, (view spoiler) Especially in Texas.

And yes, the cultural aspect of Mexican Americans added an extra layer, too. That's another whole level of stereotypes being challenged!

I really enjoyed it, even though I don't often read things set so close to our time and reality. :D

118012 It's open to interpretation, so if you feel like it fits the theme, go for it!
