118012 Has anyone started this yet?

118012 I'll definitely planning on following this challenge! I'm too planning on reading a number of translated works this year, so I'd love to hear what you have in mind!

118012 Hi Luffy,

I can't seem to see The Goldfinch within our group. Where are you seeing the information from?
Jan 06, 2014 09:32AM

118012 I've never heard it spelt like that before. It always interests me how much popular names vary by country...

118012 Handmaid's Tale is definitely my favourite book of all time...

I've been meaning to read Divergent for ages, so let me know if you want to do a buddy-read sometime!
118012 Everything about the book is beautiful, but I agree that the first chapter is especially so.

I had the same feeling as Liz. I really wasn't sure about it, seeing as it is frequently linked with Wuthering Heights and I've never gotten on with that at all, but Rebecca was an amazing read. The writing is one of the most beautiful I've come across in a good few years!
118012 I'm so glad you're all enjoying it! The writing is just phenomenal, and something I wasn't sure I would like (I have an love/hate relationship with odd narratives...)

118012 I love your spelling of it, Margriet. It has a flare!

118012 Welcome Margriet!

Good luck with your goal! If you want any help picking that English book, I'm sure many of our members will be happy to help.

118012 Sandy, it's up to you. If you want to, include it!

I expect Biographies will be included more in the 'non-fiction' section, but you can use them in other genres if you want!

118012 Hi Sandy,

Roseanne makes a good point. I use the iPhone app frequently, and I know a few people also do.

Ultimately, I wish we could enforce it. I do agree that it would make the conversations easier, but this now way we could make people do it. It's how people post. But I'll make sure to mention it in the new group message...

118012 Chase, I'm reading that right now! We should talk about it!

118012 3. Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard

I really need to sort out my original post. It looks really messy!
Jan 04, 2014 04:26AM

118012 I've been meaning to read The Metamorphosis for so long!

Just finished Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard. I definitely prefer the TV series...

118012 Yon don't have to take part in every month! Feel free to start in February :)

118012 Bouchra, I'm sorry to hear you're having personal issues! I hope everything gets better soon! I too bury myself in TV if things go wrong, so I understand completely!

You've got some really amazing challenges there, and some very interesting concepts. The Dewey Decimal one I really love. I guess basically living and volunteering in libraries all my teenage life holds a special something to me!

118012 Danielle, your list looks amazing! Make sure you have a box of tissues next to you when you read The Fault In Our Stars. I cried continuously through the last 100 pages...

I love that you're getting so into the Genre Challenge!! Good luck to you :)

118012 Hi Lindsay! Welcome to the group!

If you really want to read a book with someone, post in the main thread in the Buddy Reads folder! I'd definitely like to do some classics!

118012 Emad, definitely let me know how you find it. I'm hoping to get to it in January!
