118012 Holy Crap! I just finished Mirror Dance by Lois McMaster Bujold and it blew me away. I literally can't decide what to read next because my brain is still so completely in that world. :o

118012 Sonia-
Yes, I'm actually interested. I remember having pretty distinctive thoughts on the epilogues. Just wondering how they struck another reader.

118012 I peeked at your Bookopoly shelf and everything that seemed potential was actually set in future Earth. Which I think is true of The Maze Runner series as well. The Princess Bride is set on present day Earth, but flips to the kingdoms of Florin and Gilder, which don't exist so I think that would seem to be your best possibility.

118012 July 3- Rolled a 7. Which puts me on Yellow: Theme: Good vs. Evil
I'm interpreting this to be Good Guys vs. Bad Guys so I can read Mirror Dance by Lois McMaster Bujold which is up next in the Vorkosigan Saga that I've been reading this year. These are always terrific, so I'm quite excited. :D

118012 I'm sorry to hear about Smoke. The concept does look very interesting. :(

I've finished with The Fortune of War by Patrick O'Brian. It was a reread (listened, this time) so it went very quickly.

Not sure what's up next. Either Harry Potter or another Vorkosigan.

118012 Ooo! I just loved Agnes and the Hitman! Jennifer Crusie just cracks me up. If you decide you enjoyed this one enough to read more, I recommend Bet Me, Welcome to Temptation, and Faking It.

118012 Goodreads has a list of books published so far in 2016 which might help narrow the field.

118012 July 2- I finished Crime and Punishment.
Then rolled a 6, landing on Genre: Historical Fiction. I was thinking about Gone with the Wind, but I don't want to spend the whole readathon on one book. So I'm going with The Fortune of War which is next in the Aubrey-Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian. So it's off to sea for me!

118012 Holly-
I really enjoyed it this time around. I found it very rich and filled with things to think about. I managed to pick up an Audible with Anthony Heald as the reader. He was terrific! It made such a difference and helped me to understand the individual characters better.

118012 Haha! Yeah, well, I hurt my back at the end of May, so I spent a lot of time in June with ice packs, meds, and audiobooks. :P I did nothing without those 3 companions.

118012 War and Travel suggestion... The Return of the Soldier by Rebecca West. It's short and beautifully written.
118012 Interesting. I wasn't going to do this one, but now I think I'll see if there's a copy available at my library.

118012 I'm at 38 now. I really thought I'd be further along by now. If guess I need to focus more.
