118012 Yes! I loved reading about this wonderful young woman and the family in which she was raised. All so courageous in the face of merciless odds.

118012 Definitely a team effort. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

118012 August 20: Finished Memory. Terrific!
Rolled 7. Book Ban.
I'm going to try to finish Ulysses. It has plagued me all year. :P
118012 I feel like I've been chipping away at this all summer. Not just because of library loans but also because I want to linger over the language, the way Ari expresses himself. It's a very quotable book.

118012 I finished my mystery: The Girl in the Spider's Web. It was a disappointment compared to the series it's meant to emulate.

Rolled 5. Red: Theme: Highest Rating.
Happens to be Memory which is great because I'm ready to get back into the series. :)

118012 Finished Goblet recently as well. Yeah, I forgot how much the characters develop in this one.

118012 Orange is the New Black sounds perfect for this. We designed PopSugar challenge for you to set your own goal... Not necessarily finish the whole challenge.

118012 Yes. That should make a nice pairing.

118012 Congrats, Joi!! And, welcome, Stella! The challenges are a great way to pull yourself out of a reading slump!

118012 Yep. It has a very boring title, though... 2016 New Releases. Boring, but direct. Lol.

118012 I just finished King Lear for the Group Read. And I've been working my way through Shakespeare's sonnets. Next, I think I might see what Librivox has in poetry.

118012 I did enjoy it. Lots of fun... But I understand from reading the reviews that Georgette Heyer gets much better. So I will definitely track down more of her titles.

118012 Argh! I forgot to mention... I read The Black Moth by Georgette Heyer. It was her first, written & published while still in her teens. It was absolutely charming.

How was your Moth, Allison?

118012 Jane Steele came in first! I've just finished with it. Just okay and kinda odd, but leaves room for potential sequels. A series usually means more character development.

August 9- Rolled 7. Orange: Genre: Mystery.
Possibilities...
...Girl in the Spider's Web
...Still Life
...A Study in Scarlet

Sorry I can't link right now. I have immediate access to all of these titles and might end up reading them all. :D
118012 So glad you've been able to score a copy. I was pretty blown away by this young woman's story.

118012 Hahaha! Of course! It's like dominoes. First you set them up, then they all fall down with a tap.

118012 Marina-
I loved Cuckoo's Calling, too. There are 3 books in the series so far and it just keeps getting g better!

118012 I totally get it. That's why we try to leave the threads open for a while, even after we've archived for the most part.

118012 Great job, Jackie!
