So glad to see you all here!

Hmmm. I've been thinking about taking on The Monk (I read Vathek, Trilby, and Castle of Otranto earlier this year.), but I didn't realize what a chunkster it is. I might need to put it off til I finish some of the doorstoppers I've got going right now. Let me know what you think of it, Rosemarie.

Thanks, Jenny! I completely forgot about this one.

Woot woot!

Hooray! I'm so glad this mini-challenge is getting a little interest. Especially now that there enough 2016 books published to have some real choice.

Dracula is a very good time! Much more that i expected it to be.

Changed my mind and read
Gone with the Wind for Historical Fiction. Then Rolled a 5. Landed On Red: Category: Shortest Book. Must go sort.

I'm in. I'm planning to read Dead Souls by Gogol which sounds creepy but it's supposed to be humorous.

That's how I'd interpret it, but if you have another viable definition, that works, too.

Aww. Thanks! It has been a great year for "important" books. :D

Definitely! It's for both started and planned. Anything you thought you'd get to but didn't ... And maybe feel guilty about. :P

Finished the Powell. Rolled a five. Landed on Orange: historical fiction:
Treason's Harbour. Set during Napolionic Wars.

VANQUISHED _3_

Many of us make reading plans each month, which we find we are unable to complete within the timeframe. Then, the unfinished books get re-shelved on the tbr or linger at the bottom of our "currently reading" shelf forever, taunting us like Marley's ghost. This is your chance to break the chains you've forged in life... (Uh, this year.)
Mission: Choose five books you planned to read THIS YEAR, which you were unable to accomplish. Then, Bust 'em, Dr. Venkman!
Dates: October 1 - December 31, 2016

I think I've cobbled together enough to play this challenge.
Basic Bingo rules apply. (Five in a row. Horizontal. Vertical. Diagonal. Around the World. Blackout.)
You're competing against yourself. You only need to get one "bingo" to complete the challenge, but you can get as many as you want.
Copy and paste the template into your own thread, then edit in the books as you read them.
Remember to post BINGO when you finish one so we can celebrate with you. :)

Many apologies for the delay in posting the latest seasonal bingo. I had to get a new phone and lost much of the notes I'd created concerning my mini challenge plans. Right now all I have is a list of categories which I will post here so those who are interested can start mapping out their reading. I'll post an official list with letter designations as soon as possible.
