I agree with others that the purple logo is beautiful! Really fresh.
Happy 2015 everyone! :)

This time I want to know which my limits are :P

2015 Challenge that I read 35 book help me to grow and know myself better and meet new friends and travel to new countries :) , How want come with me ?? :D

About a quarter of the books I "read" are recorded, which I listen to when in the car, walking, flying… I can't sit down in a chair to listen or I fall asleep, which doesn't happen with the written word, though I'll admit a slow moving book read at night is a great antidote for occasional insomnia.
I'd like to read more non-fiction this year in the form of memoirs, biographies, travel adventure as well as social histories.

I set my target as 25 books and hopefully I am able to finish one book per two weeks. Instead of reading for the sake of reaching target, I would also like to put in some deep thoughts while reading. I plan to write a book journal for this year whenever possible. I had listed several books in my want to read list, and hopefully I can exceed my expectation again.
2015 - is going to be another great year for reading! I hope I can also improve my writing and other career goals, too. :-)

I also aim to read more adult books, weather it be fiction, non-fiction or even historical fiction such as The Book Thief. I've only read five adult novels and all of t hem have been very good, so look forward to see if any other authors can bring anything as good as those five.
Graphic novels are also on my to read list, as I've read none up to now. Though I don't think genre or being age appropriate really counts with this, as I just want to see if I like any of the things graphic novels have to offer.

You can update your challenge throughout the year if needed. I did it after setting the bar to high for myself (at 50 books), though after reading the lower amount of books I changed the number of my challenge to keep me focused on reading.

I also use Goodreads to keep track of the graphic novels I read and I wish they could be included in some other category as I feel, for me personally, they clog up my reading challenge. I know I could do that myself but.. I also like to have a nice and complete yearly reading list.

Hopefully I'll have considerably more free time later this year, but for now I'll go with a modest goal of 40 books but I'll definitely aim higher. Ultimately though, as some of you have said, the quality of the books I read will be more important than the quantity. :)

I'm less concerned with length and the like, because the stress of full-time uni and full-time work means I've only read maybe 4-5 books in the last two years. Having time to read and finishing a story is fantastic, no matter how long it is. :)

I will create a new shelf of 'want to read - already own' and aim to read 24 of them this year.
I've decided to change focus, and I'll be working through Boxall's 1001 Book List (2012 edition). The list is composed mostly of literary fiction, award winners and Classics. There's also some massive books on the list as well, including several that are over 1,000 pages.
My 2015 reading goal is 45 books, the smallest year long goal I've ever made, but I'll be focusing on books that make me think, that will challenge me, and that will really broaden my reading horizons!
That's my new motto too :)

Here we start the challenge,
Good Luck for every one !

So This year, I have a goal of 12 books, one book a month. I already have 5-6 books in mind of what to read this year, and got my fiance joining me on the challenge.

Oh, and do we have a 2015 Reading Challenge widget yet? My blog looks so empty without one.

I am so envious that you can read that many books!! How is the world do you do it? I'm completely over the moon jealous!!!

This year, however, I'm planing to read books that have many pages (most of my books are 400 pages and above with the expectation of light novels and manga) so I aim for 100 this year.

I think you can count re-reads as long as you change the date finished. And you read 290 books last year??? :O That's nearly a book a day!

As far as I know re-reads only count if not read in the same year. I was wondering more for the example of I read book in series in January, next book comes out in October since I have read so much in between I will refresh my memory by reading the one from January and as of last years challenge Goodreads won't count the re-read towards the challenge. I am working my way up to the book a day :-) Maybe when my kids are grown up.
