Aromatherapy for Total Wellness
Stress is so prevalent in our society it’s often worn as a badge of honor. Being busy is equated to being productive and rest is viewed as the necessary evil.
As a result, people are needlessly suffering from life threatening, and often preventable, diseases that are made worse by their stress life.
I’ve spent my nursing career studying stress, it’s impact on the mind, body and spirit and the many ways we can combat it. So I’ve now designed classes that will not only help you overcome stress...

The Heart of Stressing Less
Tracie call 4485… Tracie call 4485….
Could it be? Am I getting another chance? There’s nothing but great excitement and anticipation when that call is made knowing there’s a CABGx4 (coronary artery bypass graft surgery) on the operating room board today.
Yes?
We need you to be heart holder in OR12.
Okay!
What a sacred honor. To place your hands in the chest of a living being and hold their heart while the surgeon ever so meticulously reroutes their vessels.
I always stood there, hardly breat...

6 Insights from 6 Years in Business
This week marked my 6th year as an independently practicing nurse, writer and entrepreneur.
I’ve learned so much, made so many connections and built an arsenal of resources to last a lifetime, so I want to take a moment to use some of my experiences to help you on your journey.
#1 // The numbers – blog visitors, post comments, Facebook likes, retweets, etc. – don’t matter when it comes to who you are and the message you have to share. If you base your work or worth or these numbers, you’re h...

Stop Editing Your Life
What if you start believing that you’re amazing?
What would your life look and feel like?
Would you relax and enjoy a bit more? Would you rush and stress a bit less?
What if you stopped for just a moment to realize how awesome life already is?
We can become stuck in a cycle of self-improvement and achievement that makes it easy to forget how far we’ve come and how great things are.
So I challenge you to pause and savor the present moment. Recognize and celebrate right where you are and stop...

Take the Leap
I challenge you to do something radical with your life. Something that you’ve been longing to do, but have, for whatever reason, convinced yourself not to do.
There is no better time than now. There is no set of circumstances that will offer you a greater chance at success. It is your right now leap of faith that will propel you forward and bring you joyously closer to the goal you have in mind.
Tomorrow is not promised to you. Your existence in this world in finite, but the power you posses...

Make the Commitment
Commitment requires you to do that thing, you’d rather not do, anyway. No matter the reason. Doing it. Period.
Whether you’ve had a long day, don’t know where to start or simply believe that no one cares about it but you.
When you commit to a thing, you do it anyhow. And sometimes, you’re blessed with beauty that is birthed from your willingness to take action.
So I challenge you to push past the excuses and commit, moment by moment to that thing you keep dreaming about.
The thought won’t le...

Keep Moving Forward
Our city has been riddled with construction over the past several months. Main streets. Side streets. Highways. Bridges. Everywhere there was work being done.
And on one particular day, I noticed a woman who was holding up a long line of traffic as she blocked the entrance ramp of the expressway.
I was struck by her unwillingness to proceed and, seemingly, complete disregard for all those trapped behind her.
She had to know she was entering the construction zone. She also had to know that th...

The Truth About Your Calling with Marie Forleo and Seth Godin
There’s so much wisdom in this episode of MarieTV that I had to share it.
Failure isn’t fatal. Flip the way you think about something that you’re sure will not work and, instead, argue all of the reasons why it will. Ask ourselves what is the role and function of school today. There will never be a right set of circumstances. You only have this moment. Utilize it. There has never been a time in history when you can instantly reach a billion people. Don’t waste the chance. It’s not about mak...
