Through His Eyes

Sunny Mountains

Several years ago, while talking with my husband, he said that he had been praying that God helped him to see me as He does. I was awed by this and immediately began praying for the same. I did this for a few years, asking God to help me see my husband, our children and, others in general, as He does.

I’m quick to tell someone to be careful what you pray for, because it’s been my experience that what I pray for, I get. But many times, when I’ve prayed quickly, or haven’t been specific in my pr...

Live It!

ClockIjust completed something from my “Live It” list! And I’m so excited about it.

There are things that we all want to accomplish in our lives and many times fear prevents us from following through. I want to be sure that when I’m 109 & am reflecting upon my life, I can honestly say, I did it all. I completed every dream I ever had (imperfectly) but I got it done. I don’t want to regret hesitating & allowing that action to make me miss out on something that was in my heart to do.

I’m glad I took t...

When Rest is Required

View More: http://deathtothestockphotollc.pass.us/dttsp
It’s been a very exciting year. Our oldest son started preschool, my husband started grad school & we’re expecting a new baby. I took a big break from working day in and day out simply because I’ve been tired. In order to best serve my family, keep my sanity & enjoy every day life, I needed to give myself permission to work smarter, not harder.

I’ve taken many classes, learned a great deal about entrepreneurship, and nurtured myself in the process.

I’ve been gradually making a come back – just...

3 Tips to Help You Silence Your Critics and Live Life Confidently

3 Tips to Help You Silence Your Critics and Live Life Confidently

While watching Good Morning America today,Alicia Silverstone was being interviewed about her new book, The Kind Mama. She has been the center of lots of motherhood controversy because of how she desires to care for her child. So whenasked how she handles critics of her parenting she simply stated, I’m well informed and very comfortable with the choices I make.

Raspberries

RaspberriesRaspberries are packed with vitamin C, beta-carotene and folate. Raspberries help regulate metabolism and the antioxidant power includes an anti-inflammatory compound called ellagic acid which is known to be cancer protective.

Raspberry leaves are rich in tannins and can be used medicinally as a tonic, or tea, to help strengthen and tone the uterus in preparation for birth. Raspberry tea should only be taken during the last two months of pregnancy.

Replace

Stairs

How often do you stop to think about what you’re thinking about? As you subconsciously think and process everyday life, are you listening to your biggest critic or your biggest supporter?

Negative self talk must be eliminated. Change the channel and kick every self-defeating word and thought out just as quickly as they come in. Then replace them with positive, life-giving words and affirmations.

Don’t waste time talking yourself silly, being your biggest obstacle and defeating yourself out of y...
