Celebrate Tzu Chi’s 56th Anniversary with Love
Happy 56th Anniversary, Tzu Chi
April 24, 2022, marked the 56th anniversary of the Tzu Chi Foundation. Volunteers participated in a day-long online prayer meeting. They all came together through the cloud. A total of 52 countries and regions were connected. Volunteers on the east coast of the Americas were 12 hours behind Taipei; but they did not want to miss it. The aid team assisting displaced Ukrainians in Poland also seized the chance to send their best wishes and share their mission via a videoconference.
Due to the pandemic, Tzu Chi volunteers around the world could not come back to Taiwan to celebrate the 56th anniversary together. But, thanks to advanced technology, they could express their blessings at the same time online.
Love Knows No Boundaries
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has caused Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War II. More than 5.1 million Ukrainians have left the country and a quarter of the population has been displaced.
Irina Stupak, one displaced Ukrainian: "It is very difficult now, but we look forward to returning home peacefully."
Love knows no boundaries. Tzu Chi volunteers from Taiwan, the United States, Turkey, and Europe have gathered in Poland as an aid team to provide assistance and care to the displaced Ukrainians.
One of them is Tzu Chi volunteer Faisal Hu, from Turkey. He said: "On behalf of Master Cheng Yen -- the founder of Tzu Chi -- we go to see those who are suffering, we go to the places of suffering, and we come here to help the displaced Ukrainians.”
In Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteer Chen Huijuan said: "The love and care of Tzu Chi volunteers have been implemented everywhere, because the selfless love of Tzu Chi volunteers is always there."
Unite our Hearts Together
The power of love is continuously relayed, and gradually flows to the needy.
Master Cheng Yen, founder of Tzu Chi, said: "Let us work together in unity and harmony with love, and unite our hearts together to carry out our vows in action and with faith. May everyone give their love and use various ways to safeguard people’s health with love. Only by doing this can our society be safe and well, and our world be peaceful and free of disasters."
