New Start for School and Couple at El Menahil International School, Turkey

February 5th was the first day for Syrian students at the El Menahil International School after the winter vacation. The normally quiet school suddenly became alive and crowded. In the afternoon, Mohammed N. Aljamal(小穆), head of the publicity team of the Tzu Chi Turkey Foundation, held abanquet on the sixth floor to celebrate his wedding with all the teachers and administrators.

Tzu Chi 2021 Year in Review (Video)

In 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic had not lost its grip on humanity, with those who live in poverty to begin with being worst hit. On top of that, severe disasters brought about by extreme climate conditions, widening wealth inequality, and rising worldwide inflation had affected us all around the world. Despite all the challenges, Tzu Chi volunteers had not slowed down its effort to relieve suffering and bring peace to people's minds and they’ve shipped pandemic relief supplies to 126 countries and regions.

Tzu Chi Delivers Hot Meals in Bitter Winter of Toronto

In Canada, 2.85 million people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 30,000 people have died. Each day in January there were than 100,000 new cases, and restaurants were banned from indoor dining. This made the plight of the homeless even worse. Because of this, Tzu Chi volunteers in Toronto, Canada distributed hot food to 160 homeless and low-income households.

Tzu Chi Promotes Earth Ethical Eating Day in Malaysia

January 11 was Earth Ethical Eating Day. In Malaysia, Tzu Chi volunteers went into the community and traditional markets to invite the public to join the event. They encouraged everyone to become vegetarian, to reduce carbon emissions, keep the new virus variant at bay, and protect the earth.

Bring Warmth in Cold Winter to New Taipei City

The Lunar New Year arrives in less than a month. Over the next weeks, the Tzu Chi Foundation plans to start winter distributions throughout Taiwan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional banquet in the Taipei area was cancelled. However, Tzu Chi volunteers still packed supplies and vegetables for the New Year and distributed them to care households one by one.

Da Ai TV Celebrates 24th Anniversary with Gratitude and Aspirations

On New Year’s Day, 2022, Da Ai TV station celebrated its 24th anniversary. It invited nearly 300 Tzu Chi volunteers to share the growth and glory of Da Ai TV. The volunteers are the most reliable and solid backers of the station. Working together, the staff of the station will combine their duties and aspirations, and continue to spread love and positive thoughts. Let the world light up with Great Love (pronounced as Da Ai in Chinese).

Disaster Survey of Typhoon Rai in Bohol, Philippines

Typhoon Rai hit the Philippines in mid-December and seriously massive waves as high as three meters caused severe devastation on Bohol Island. As of December 27, Typhoon Rai had claimed 389 lives, left 29,000 families in emergency shelters and completely destroyed thousands of homes.
