Jing Si Abode Rushes Supplies to Victims of 0918 Earthquake in Yuli
According to the information of the Central Disaster Response Center, the "0918 Earthquake" had of 6:00 am on September 19, 2022 caused one death and 146 injuries. Of these, 76 people were injured in Hualien County and 55 people injured in Taitung County, Taiwan.

In Jordan, Tzu Chi Saves Syrian Boy from Crohn’s Disease
In Jordan, a Syrian teenager named Osama, suffered from Crohn's disease. This is an inflammatory bowel disease that may affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract. He had fled with his family from the civil war in Syria. Because of this, he had been unable to find treatment and was dying. Then the Jordan branch of the Tzu Chi Foundation found him. The volunteers helped to arrange an operation in 2019 and provided follow-up medical help – they saved his life.

In India, Tzu Chi Volunteers Help Village Boy Regain His Health
Over a period of 35 days, two Tzu Chi Indian volunteers searched for a boy, arranged for him to receive a physical examination, and then traveled with him for 20 hours to a large hospital -- 1,147 kilometers away -- for surgery. Driven by compassion, they accompanied the 9-year-old boy, Sandeep Kumar, to create a remarkable affinity with his parents.
