Tracked is $2.99 for a Limited Time
Seriously, if you haven’t read Tracked, why not? What is stopping you?
Are you afraid to read a Mindspeak novel from other characters’ point of view? (I’ve heard this one, before.) I promise, promise, promise, you’re going to love Raven. She’s different from Lexi, but she’s strong and kind, yet troubled and vulnerable. And she’s in trouble. She witnessed a horrible crime and these scary scientist people did something to her, and…
That’s where Kyle comes in. He’s in Costa Rica to sleuth for Jo...

#TeensForChange: Julia Bluhm and Izzy Labbe on Body Image Activism
I’m obsessed withtwo things: TED talks and teens making a difference in the world. So when those two items come together, I want to do pirouettes (you’ll see the connection when you watch the video below
). Though this story is from a few years ago, these teens made huge waves about an issue dear to them: body image activism.
Though you can google their names and see the many articles written about their mission to get Seventeen magazine to feature fewerphotoshopped models, I came across...

Teen Takes Action On Sexist School Dress Code
We have a policy in our house: You don’t have to agree with the rules or laws that schools or our government has implemented, but you can’t complain about them unless you’re willing to do something productive in an attempt to change them.

Let Passion Define Our Dreams, Not Other People
I have always been passionate about doing what’s right. Sometimes to a fault. Because who defines “what’s right” when I’m making these passion-driven decisions?
Sometimes the people who define “what’s right” can squash ourdreams. They can add to ourmoral compass things wehadn’t previously considered. They mightsteer ustoward decisions that have more to do with their passions and desiresrather thanourown.
We must be careful who welet influence what we’repassionate about or define what’s right...

Attitude Is Everything
I’m sitting here at Starbucks this morning. I’m working on my next book, and I’m thinking about the speech I wrote this week that I will deliver to a small group at next week’s UtopYa Conference in Nashville.
The speech is titled, “You don’t have to win the publishing lottery to leave the day job that is sucking the life out of you.”
I believe this because I am proof of it. So, in fifteen minutes of time, I will attempt to help a group of people in Nashville believe it, too.
But what I was th...
