Simple Email Signature App Earning $58K/Month

Check their site and you’ll see an example of the product. The software basically helps people create those fancy signature blocks and links you see at the end of some emails.
Amazingly, MySignature does about $700,000 per year in revenue 
Vol writes in a recent interview…
I started as a founder of Newoldstamp [another email signature generator], back in 2015 in Ukraine. That was a leap of faith as I quit my job and put all the savings I had into launching an email signature generator.
How he came up with the idea…
I worked for a TV manufacturer… I joined them as a marketer and was responsible for branding as well.
As the company had lots of overseas partners… I wanted to incorporate standardized and branded signatures for all employees.
Unfortunately, at that time, there was no solution for making it centrally… This is what brought my initial thoughts about the email signature solution.
But…
I had no experience with SaaS, being an entrepreneur, software development, or launching my startup. But this idea had never left my mind. After a few months of research and finding a few competitors, I understood there was a niche and opportunity.
So Vol went ahead and built the product 
Sounds like Newoldstamp did well enough that Vol was eventually able to buy a competing business…
MySignature is currently our flagship product and was acquired in 2019 as a business extension to Newoldstamp. This allowed us to segment audiences and better solve their problems.
The products serve different segments of the market…
Newoldstamp was now targeting medium-sized businesses and small enterprises at the same time.
MySignature covered one-person companies and professionals from different industries.
Their #1 growth channel…
SEO has stayed our major strategy for both products and remains for MySignature.
We have the top 5 positions on our major keywords in Google.
Vol apparently sold Newoldstamp in 2022 for $3.1 million 
But it sounds like he still owns MySignature and that’s doing well…
MySignature revenue is almost $700K per year, and it is fully bootstrapped.
Vol’s advice for starting a business…
The best time to start was yesterday. So start today!
The world is spinning fast, and most of the time, there won’t be a better moment. So if you have something in your mind, start validating it, researching, and acting.
Lastly, Vol came up with his business idea while still an employee.
He noticed something his employer could be doing better, and eventually built a product to help with that.

While I was researching this story, I saw that FATJOE has a reseller program.
You could sign up for that and sell under your own brand. They fulfill services such as link building, SEO, digital PR, etc.
Ideal if you like selling but not fulfillment 
(To be clear: I have no affiliation with the FATJOE reseller program, not even sure if they do good work. Just something that might be worth checking out. There are surely many alternatives out there too.)

It’s a 13-minute video, so it has plenty of time for ad breaks, and YouTube likes it when you make people stick around.
This is much harder to do with a single song that’s just three and a half minutes long.

If you’re putting your original music on YouTube, try out different ways of building a video around your song.
You could try breaking down the stems for those making their own music, or teaching the guitar parts, talking about the writing process, or giving some background to the lyrics…
It’s all promotion for you and your music, but it’s a new and different type of promotion.

My main takeaway from Mary is that it’s hard to make money purely from entertainment content.
Generally it’s easier to make money from informational content that helps people in some way.
In the case of Mary’s review video, she’s helping viewers make a buying decision
That said, the holy grail seems to be informational content that’s also entertaining.
Someone like Kat Norton strikes that balance well, teaching Excel in a fun way, to the point where she was able to earn $100,000+ in one day

$53,000+ From His 1-Week Chrome Extension

In a recent interview, Erwin shares…
The recurring revenue has grown to almost $30k annually, with another $23k in one-off revenue, all with a 95% profit margin.
Pricing is a $79/year subscription or a $249 one-time fee.
The origin story…
Two years ago I started building a product called Base Styles as a side project, hoping to make it profitable. Unfortunately, it failed to gain traction after 10 months of building… I spent way too much time without validating the idea.
So for Erwin’s next try…
To decrease the risk and time spent I gave myself a challenge: build a very minimal first version of a new product within a week… I ended up rebuilding a personal tool that I had hacked together in the past. It was a simple browser extension to make live visual changes easier with Tailwind CSS.
To save time when building the first version…
I consciously left some [bugs] unresolved and chose to fix or polish things up in subsequent bug fixes.
He announced the project in October 2022…
After building and posting the video on Twitter, it ended up getting 570 likes, 22000 views on the video and 82000 impressions! It felt like the complete opposite of my previous product, all of a sudden there was lots of interest with minimum effort!
Unclear how many followers Erwin had on Twitter at that time, but he still had less than 1000 a few months later, so it’s not like he’d built up a huge audience already.
Launching…
During launch day, I launched both on Product Hunt and announced it on Twitter.
In the first week, I sold 40 yearly subscriptions… I decided to extend [the early-bird deal] for Black Friday (the week after) and it resulted in another 44 yearly subscriptions.
Lessons learned…
The most valuable lesson I learned from all of this is that it’s crucial to try and get people interested as early as possible, and use that momentum as much as you can.
And…
I’ve learned that consistency over a longer period of time is key to outperform competitors.

The way it works
Apparently impressions on your replies also count towards the 5M impressions needed to be eligible.
Tiffany adds…
maybe 600 bucks isn’t a lot to you but keep in mind I’m not that big of a Twitter account. I’ve only been posting on Twitter for about one year.
Currently, Tiffany has over 100K followers but she only had ~1,500 followers 15 months ago. Best I can tell, she had about 70K followers around the time of her reported earnings.
So, if there’s something that you love writing about – or posting memes about – you might want to try out Twitter
Who knows, you could be the next Sheehan Quirke – also known as Cultural Tutor – who grew to 1.5M followers in 18 months writing about culture and how things change over the years.
There’s also @BillyM2k, who Tiffany references in her video. Apparently he earned $37,050 from his tweets in one month

In a recent tweet, Julien shares that Sublaunch has gone from earning $0 last January to $29,341 in December
In reply to a comment, he says…
I did a bit of a cold DM to find the first 15 clients. And since then, it’s been growing organically through the links on the existing clients’ pages.
By that he means, when you sign up for Sublaunch, you get a link like sublaunch.co/username, which you then promote so people can join your channel.
Julien wrote in another tweet…
I believe that 20% of the growth is due to word-of-mouth through link visibility, while 80% is due to the fact that my current clients are becoming more profitable, and my MRR is partly correlated with theirs.
Sublaunch has a free tier where customers are charged 15% of transaction fees. Paid plans start at $49/month, with an 8% charge on transaction fees.
There’s a nice viral loop happening for Julien, as his customers essentially market his product for him, and the better those customers do, the more Julien gets paid
He tweeted in September…
In 9 months, Sublaunch creators generated 1 Million of dollars.
And in December…
There are currently 17,372 recurring subscriptions of our clients active on Sublaunch
That explains how he’s earning $29K per month then

$200K/Year Niche Business You’ve Never Heard Of

How she describes it in a recent interview…
When I meet people and I’m like, yeah. I have this multiple six figure business and it’s based off of medical coding. They look at me like, how? Medical coding, really?
Victoria’s explanation of medical coding
[It’s] the process of taking different reports on patients’ diagnoses, their procedures, all their services, their medical equipment, and converting them into unified codes.
Those codes are then used for insurance claims, statistical and analytical purposes, etc.
Or, as ChatGPT described it to me “as if I’m ten years old”…
It’s like using a secret language to keep track of health stuff!
Okay then.
How Victoria got started with her business…
[I was] working full time for a hospital and health care facility as a medical coding auditor. And I made very good money as a medical coding auditor, but I was kind of dabbling and also doing something for myself.
YouTube has been key…
I published one of my first YouTube videos maybe in 2017, and I think it’s still out on a different channel somewhere where I was just kind of experimenting with it at the time and had to put it to the side because I was going through a divorce, my mother passed away, I had moved back home with my dad.
Then…
I had passed my instructor certification in 2019 and was teaching in-person workshops and wanted to do online courses as well, which was very timely when the pandemic hit and everything had switched to online courses.
I was already starting to get set up. So my business does a lot of online education, a lot of YouTube. YouTube is really what fed all the sales for the online courses.
The first video on her current channel is from April 2019, and you can see that it’s nothing fancy…
But over time she’s improved her video quality and built up a following of 135K subscribers basically teaching them how to become medical coders.
And it sounds like most of her “multiple six figure” revenue comes from course sales.
You can see all her courses here, including a couple priced at $700 a pop.
She also appears to be an affiliate for this medical coding course, priced at $1599
All told, I expect Victoria is earning at least $200,000 per year from her business.
She’s another great example of someone earning good money in a small niche, without doing anything fancy. She’s simply been providing consistent value over the years, and found a few ways to monetize her expertise.

His 99% Passive Side Projects Earn $700/Month

The tool in question is Bulk Image Compressor, a free image compressor with a simple $10 upgrade for unlimited use.
Seems most people find the tool via search engines 
but Muhammad didn’t do much in terms of SEO…
I use ahrefs free version….
I didn’t really do any backlink building except a PH launch. It idled for ~9 months and made no money until I changed my targeting to “bulk image compressor” instead of “image compressor”
In another post he shares his experience building side projects…
I didn’t have much success yet but I make ~700 a month with 95% profit ratio and 99% passive.

How he chooses what to build…
Build something that solves your own problem… This will keep you from building products that no one wants to use. If not your own, build to solve a friend’s problem.
If you have a problem, many people may have the same problem…
If you can’t find anything, be more observant and/or be more interesting/interested…
When you solve your own problem, if the product doesn’t work, (i.e. you couldn’t market it)… You will learn building, you will learn shipping. Your muscles will train.
Next time, you will be able to ship faster and better.
Speed is key…
Pick ideas that you can ship in 2 days max. This will filter all the ideas that you can’t ship in a week. Yes, when you think it will take 2 days, it will likely take a week or so…
More shipped products === more luck.
Agreed. The more you try, the more chances you have to hit the target

If something solves someone’s problem, there’s a 100% chance somebody is willing to pay for it. Do not self reject. Market is the only test.

Sold His Unoriginal Business For $300K After 2.5 Years

According to a recent profile, he sold it last April for $300,000
It all started in Nov 2020 when Noah tweeted…
I’m going to start a new SaaS and build in public starting tomorrow!
And he did just that. See some of his popular tweets here.
One tweet summarizing the business journey…
I took 2 months to build the MVP.
On day 2 of early access, I got my first customer.
And within the first 3 months of launch I got my first 75 users, which all came from Twitter.
From the aforementioned profile…
Next, Potion got more eyeballs when he launched it on Product Hunt [and got the #1 product of the day.]
But it wasn’t all plain sailing, as Noah notes that he hit…
6 months of plateau in mid 2022.
He broke out of that and…
I built it up to $6,300 MRR.
But I was ready to move to a new challenge and it seemed like it might be a good time to sell Potion and harvest the value I’ve built.
Then…
I ended up selling Potion for $300k!
I’m really happy with the outcome.
The most interesting thing to me about Noah’s story
Potion wasn’t the first Notion-based website builder. It has plenty of competition from the likes of Super.so, Simple.ink and Feather.so.
Which goes to show that you don’t need to have an original business idea to be successful. There’s often plenty of room for several similar products to succeed in the market.
Simple.ink also ended up selling for 6-figures, and founder Ch Daniel acknowledged…
We weren’t the first Notion website builder.
His advice…
Don’t copy as in steal. But copy and add the things you think you can do better.
You’ll always figure some stuff out you can do better, even if it’s down the line.

$35K Profit in 15 Months via Facebook Marketplace

Claire’s story via a recent interview…
When school teacher Claire McCann turned a $65 used table set into $300, she discovered a profitable new side hustle…
Just 15 months later, Claire has earned over $35,000 in profits from furniture flipping.
Her strategy…
trying to purchase inventory for 50% or below retail value.
And…
To gain more local eyeballs on her furniture listings, Claire joins Buy & Sell groups relevant to her area. She’ll join 20 or more hyperlocal groups on Facebook, in addition to broader sites like Craigslist…
Trial and error is crucial, however, as Claire needed to find what furniture shapes, colors and brands resonate in her local market. She ate the losses from her design misfires in the name of research.
Check out Facebook Marketplace and see what products are for sale in your area. Might be some furniture or other products there that you could flip for a nice profit
You could also try selling your own unused items on there for extra cash.
Claire’s tip for sourcing items…
if you’re commuting somewhere for work or somewhere you go frequently, this is what I did when I began… I looked at my commute line.
You get it on the way back from commuting, so you save money on gas anyway. As long as it fits in the car, or at the back.
Sure, this kind of business requires a lot of leg work, but Clarie’s experience proves that it can be a worthwhile side hustle
I also like how Claire is now leveraging her success to teach others and scale her business.
For example, on this page she’s selling a $10 digital guide and offering consultation calls.
