This Daily Practice Helps Him Earn $25K+ Each Month

Jordan Hughes is the founder of Untitled UI…
the largest UI kit and design system for Figma in the world. Kickstart any project, save thousands of hours, and level up as a designer.
Figma is a popular software for designing websites, mobile apps, etc.
Untitled UI basically gives you a bunch of design components you can use in Figma so you’re not starting with a blank canvas 
According to a recent profile of Jordan…
He was a drummer and an aspiring teacher before venturing into the world of startups by chance in 2015.
Elsewhere, Jordan mentions the project he worked on before Untitled UI…
I built (and later sold) goodbooks.io, the largest curated collection of 8,500+ book recommendations from some of the most successful and interesting people in the world.
That’s worth checking out, basically lists of books that famous people recommend, monetized with display ads and affiliate links 
(Methinks there could be a site like that for famous people in every walk of life. Example: a site listing what smartphones top athletes use.)
Back to Untitled UI, and it was an unusual project for Jordan to jump into…
I don’t have a background in design. This may sound alarming, but I consider a generalist approach an important asset.
I studied Management and Finance… before working as an Ops Manager in high-growth startups.
This involved learning fast and wearing a lot of hats.
In mid-2019, I decided I wanted to pursue design.
He started working on Untitled UI in 2021…
This library started as a side project but has grown into the largest and best-selling Figma UI kit in the world.
According to that recent profile, Jordan’s Untitled UI is likely bringing in over 6-figures per year, at a very conservative estimate.
There is a free version of the product but the paid versions start at $129 a pop.
If we assume Untitled UI is making at least 5 sales per day, then Jordan is likely earning $25,000+ each month 
One thing that stood out to me about Jordan’s marketing, which has surely helped him gain traction: his Made with Untitled UI tweet series.
Every day for 580+ days now, he’s tweeted a screenshot of something he’d designed with his own kit.
Simple, but effective

They’re easy to start. Easy to learn.

The problem is: very few writers (even seasoned veterans who have been writing for a long time) understand how to write things that have the capacity to be monetized directly.
Nicolas says there are two types of paid newsletters
Either can work…
Researched Curation can be repeated infinitely (always more to research), and Original Thinking can be repeated infinitely (always more expertise to share).
Another key…
Readers very rarely, if ever, pay for “words.”
What makes a paid newsletter work is when the reader feels as though you are giving them TANGIBLE objects delivered in newsletter form.
What are tangible objects?
• Reports
• Prompts
• Templates
• Case studies
• Etc.
You can literally “hold” these kinds of things in your hands, making them tangible. And what is tangible is perceived to be more valuable.
The secret to selling things in the digital world is to make your digital work feel like an analog object.
Could you turn your own writing into something more tangible? 
Nicolas also reveals how long he would test a newsletter to see if it has 6-figure potential…
About 6 months.
If your paid newsletter isn’t generating $5-10k per month within the first 6 months, you most likely haven’t checked all the boxes… you haven’t figured out what is truly valuable…
You can give it 1 year if you want to “trust your gut.” But anything beyond 1 year is usually a dog.

That’s an online service that connects journalists and experts. Journalists use it to get better info for their stories. Experts use it to get media mentions and backlinks 
Elvis shares how he came up with the idea for PressPulse AI…
I was skimming through Twitter one day and bumped into a chat about HARO (Help a Reporter Out). A reply from a cool startup CEO hit home:
“The only problem I find with them is that now they send me 4 emails per day every day, and I sincerely read like 1-2 per week. Their deadlines usually are very tight as well. But def worth subscribing!”
I felt the same. HARO did get me some sweet media mentions before, but it’s a huge time-sink. Sifting through those emails felt like hunting for a needle in a haystack.
That’s when…
I thought, why not redesign HARO emails and make it actually usable for busy people like us, with a dash of AI magic?
So…
I played around with an idea. Gave a user profile and a HARO query to ChatGPT and asked it to play matchmaker, rating it from 0-100.
With this approach, I filtered down the daily flood of 100 HARO spam to just 1-2 that actually make sense for you.
In another post, he says…
I built it, validated it, launched it. Now I have 50+ signups and closing in on $100 MRR.
Don’t just scroll.
Pay attention. Listen. Keep note. Address a pain point.
You might just find your next big idea.
Sounds like that success was achieved only a couple of weeks after launch.
And I see the website now boasts about “70 happy users.” Minimum price is $15/month. So Elvis is likely earning $1000+ per month now.
However, even if this business doesn’t work out, I expect he’ll eventually hit a home run if he keeps going with this approach.

Sounds like My AskAI was launched back in March.
According to an interview with Alex, the project was earning $18K/month after only 6 months
Alex’s background…
I started as a tech consultant at Accenture Digital. During those 7 years I learnt a lot but got bored and felt the desperate need to do my own thing.
[During the pandemic] I started building different small successful side projects with No-Code. And this was the moment I really got hooked on No-Code and building my own products.
I met Mike, my now co-founder, and we decided to team up so we could go faster.
Then ChatGPT came along and Alex was amazed 
Suddenly things were possible that had never been possible before. We decided we wanted to help companies to have their own private ChatGPT. So we started My Ask AI.
For initial traction and product validation…
We started with a pre-sale. This generated around $5k in pre-sales. We knew we were onto something… So while I focused on building the product, Mike was speaking to countless businesses and understanding their use cases in more detail.
Sounds like having Mike as co-founder was crucial. He was able to figure out what customers wanted, freeing up Alex to focus on building the product 
Also…
Neither me or Mike are marketers by trade, so this type of work doesn’t come naturally to us. We are learning, putting in the hours and trying all kinds of channels.
Their “marketing secrets”…
95% of the growth and user base has come from organic growth channels.
– Building in public on social media
– Product Hunt Launch
– Submitting to tool directories
– Getting newsletter mentions

Just start and get something out sooner rather than later. Cliche, but so many builders take 3-6 months before releasing something. Nothing should take that long.

Jolly Dog, an iPad game for dogs, has cracked the App Store top 100
The app is getting 70k downloads / day (and climbing!)
Check out the game for iPad and Android.
It has been around since 2016.
The blurb…
The game is a clever endless loop, where a bunch of different toys and creatures are living, squeaking and running all around the screen just waiting to be caught.
The color scheme is carefully selected to meet cats’ and dogs’ vision spectrums.
Not sure where Olivia’s 70k downloads per day estimate comes from 
Sensor Tower (free account required) estimates that the iPad version gets 200,000 downloads per month and earns
However, the pro version of Jolly Dog costs $4.99. And if only 1% of those monthly downloaders go pro, that adds up to $9,980 per month
Plus, the Android version seems to be more popular, with more than 2x the reviews. So the app could be earning more than $10K/month via that platform.
But we like to be conservative with our estimates in this newsletter so we’ll say Jolly Dog is earning at least $7,000 per month
Fascinating that an app designed for dogs could be earning that much.

Turning Customer Chats into $15,000/Month

Abhishek Kumar is the founder of Deep Research, a market research agency that helps companies gather customer insights.
So basically Abhishek and his team talk to customers on your behalf and report back with useful insights 
In a recent interview, he says…
Depending on the needs of our clients, we spend 4-8 weeks speaking to their customers and helping them figure out their ideal buyer personas, the messaging that resonates with their buyer personas that can be used end to end from their website to their email marketing campaigns.
Surprisingly, they only started earlier this year…
We launched in January 2023 and are making on average $10,000 monthly in revenues. That number has consistently grown over the past 10 months and we had our best revenue last month ($15,000)
Abhishek says he initially ran a podcast…
where I would invite entrepreneurs and talk about their businesses.
[At this point] I had built a TikTok page repurposing content from YouTube that had 130k+ followers.
[I pitched] My guests [who] had tens of thousands of followers on other social platforms but no distribution on TikTok. I don’t think they only came because of TikTok, but it helped my pitch stand out.
That’s when…
I realized that I enjoyed research more than anything. It was also the best part about podcasting… So last year I started to clean my plate and kill side projects that I no longer enjoyed or were making little to no money.
Then…
I’m removing tasks off my plate, increasingly thinking of research, and one fine night I see a post for a customer interview gig.
One thing led to another and I started working with Sophia at Ignore No More agency.
Working with her, I realized there’s a huge market for research for startups – not a billion-dollar market – but enough for me to start an agency of my own.
It still took a full year for me to quit my job, but I eventually did it.
How he got traction…
It’s cliche, but it’s doing good work… We regularly hop on calls… In total, I wrote an email or sent a DM to 400+ founders this year alone, hopped on 50+ calls, and have made many friends.
Two things to note here
First, Abhishek discovered his love of research while working on another project, his podcast.
I see this time and time again: people coming across an idea or passion while busy doing something else.
Whereas it rarely happens to someone who is just hanging out, doing nothing, hoping for inspiration to strike 
Second, most businesses know it’s a good idea to talk to customers, but it’s a pain in the ass to arrange and do.
Abhishek identified that pain point and made a business out of it 
Whenever you find a pain point – for you or someone else – stop and think if there could be a business opportunity there.
Last words from Abhishek…
Just start. None of our clients have ever come through our website… I speak to a ton of founders who are still stuck in these or worse yet, wondering how they’ll get their 100th customer before getting their first. All of that is fake work – mental gymnastics.
The only validation of your idea is a customer’s money in the bank. Think about the shortest path to getting there. For me, it was a 2 page website + lots of Zoom calls.

He adds…
I have been tinkering around with Generative AI ever since I got my hands on text-to-image models last year… Earlier this year, I came across something called ControlNet and was amazed by what it could do.
(ControlNet is a neural network that gives you granular control over image generation in Stable Diffusion.)
So…
We built out the first version in 5 days and got our first paying customer in the next couple of days… This gave us early validation.
Looks like they got initial traction by sharing it on multiple AI directories and a successful Product Hunt launch.

In three months, We got
22k+ Visitors
All without spending a single $ on marketing
Pretty good outcome, especially given that these guys were just following their curiosity and launched the project in 5 days
Then came the sale…
We were approached by an upcoming Canada-based estate tech Startup that was interested in a potential collaboration or an acquisition.
They ended up selling for $30,000
Writing up this newsletter every week, I notice patterns, and this is a common one: someone playing around with new tech just for the fun of it, ends up developing a rare skill and turning that into a successful business.

500 Downloads Per Episode = $20K/Year Podcast

Pat Flynn recently interviewed Wojciech Wegrzynski, a Professor of Fire Engineering at a university in Poland 
Wojciech also runs the Fire Science Show podcast 
He gets about ~500 downloads per episode and apparently…
He’s making more with his podcast than in his day job, despite having relatively smaller numbers.
The average salary of a Fire Engineer in Poland is 77,120 PLN ($19,000) per year.
So it sounds like Wojciech is earning at least $20,000/year from his podcast
He says in the interview…
I knew what I’m jumping into, you know, I understood that the niche I am in is small… And I thought we need something else in the communication between the scientists and the benefactor of the science. And the podcast appeared to be a brilliant route to find them.
So I didn’t really care how many people by the number will listen because I knew that there’s a good chance whoever listens, I can really make a big change for the everyday work of that single person in every single episode.
How Wojciech monetised the podcast…
I didn’t want the hassle of selling episode by episode. So when I reached out to a sponsor, I reached out for a long term partnership… very, very openly…
Podcasting is a hard job and it takes time and it takes resources. So for something like 80 episodes, I was doing all that on my own without any financial support. And then eventually I found somebody that shares the view of the world that I have, an engineering company from the UK.
Wojciech is at ~130 episodes now.
Those first 80 episodes without a sponsor must have been a tough grind, especially given that he was working the university job and parenting his 4 kids 
But because he was willing to push through the difficulty of all that, he’s emerged with a successful podcast he’s passionate about that provides a good income.
And I love that he’s done it in such a small and unusual niche.
Do you have good knowledge of a niche topic?
Even if it’s a tiny niche, there may be an opportunity there to build a successful podcast.
Or a blog, or a YouTube channel.
Wojciech’s advice for anyone new to podcasting…
It’s not about the interview. It’s about an honest conversation… listening, asking meaningful questions, following up, really digging into it with a real curiosity… I set them up. For communicating not only with knowledge but also emotion.

This Simple Software Has Earned Him $400,000+

Keith Brink is the founder of AZLabels 
Which he describes as…
A product to take the frustration out of printing labels on thermal printers, primarily targeted at Amazon Sellers.
AZLabels was launched in 2017.
According to Indie Hackers, the business currently earns ~$5,200/month, though it has had a few $9000+ months in the past
Keith shares the origin story…
I was an Amazon seller myself and was spending up to an hour every day just getting labels to print properly. Super inefficient. Every Amazon FBA seller has to label each product and then label each box that gets shipped to Amazon.
I had to choose between a long manual process that took 20-30 minutes per shipment, or some ancient software that was expensive, slow, didn’t work half the time
That’s when he…
Took a couple of months building out an automated solution, I realized that there were likely other sellers experiencing the same issue. So I put up a basic landing page… it wasn’t a wild success. I think I got 20 sign-ups in a month… but I figured I should just release it.
So he did…
After I put out the first version of AZLabels I emailed a couple of people to ask them to start using it, just to work out all the bugs… I think it’s important to release an MVP quickly, but it’s also important to make sure your product is worth paying for.
After that, I launched to the 20 people on my sign-up list and asked them to pay $5 a month to print as many labels as they wanted. Half of them signed up which I took to be a good sign, and it was nice to see $50 per month in the Stripe account.
Keith goes on to list a bunch of things he did to spread the word 
The most impactful…
I reached out to influencers in the Amazon Seller space and asked if they would be interested in an affiliate program. This has been the most consistently successful channel for me. I would say a third of our sales are driven this way.
Also…
A post on Reddit was pretty successful and brought in 10-20 new customers. It’s important on Reddit to stick around and engage with anyone who comments because it will increase the activity and therefore the longevity of your post. Even if they are critical, it’s actually helping your post stay at the top and be interesting for people. I’ve had other successes on Reddit since then by sharing new blog posts.

But again, those are just the things that worked
Keith also tried a lot of things that proved to be a waste of time, but the only way to know that was to give them a shot.
Ultimately, all that work by Keith has resulted in $400,000+ total revenue to date
His tip for other entrepreneurs…
My first tip is that you have to be doing something — anything at all — if you want to find opportunities… The key is to put in the hard work of lots of small successes that add up to one big success.
Another takeaway here is to keep an eye out for tedious manual processes or outdated software in your own work.
If you find it frustrating, other people likely do too and would be happy to pay for a solution.

How does AI Mastery Live help you make money?
AI Mastery Live includes a suite of tools and training that aim to help you make money by creating and selling digital info products with the help of AI.
When followed, you can go from no product to having an ebook, video course, sales funnel, and ads – all created with AI.
For example, you could create a how-to guide for earning a side income as a college student or how to enhance your golf swing. The possibilities of topics are endless.
Within the bundle is Bookle AI, a software that leverages technology similar to ChatGPT to write entire books. These can be sold as is or used as lead magnets.
I was surprised by the quality of results produced by Bookle.

Next is Autofunnel AI, which appears to be the flagship software.
By answering a few questions, it can build an entire sales funnel, including copy, layout, and checkout functionality. This will be the mechanism for selling your info product.

The sales webinar mainly focuses on that product, so it’s hard to say exactly.
Basically, if you want to create a course with AI that you can sell on your own funnel, this software and training was likely built for you.

AI Mastery Live is a unique software and training bundle focusing on creating digital products using artificial intelligence.
While the tools and training do what they claim, there is still considerable work to be done to see actual results.
For example, building a course using AI is one thing, but crafting an offer with clear value in a competitive marketplace is another.
Trey’s training helps with this, but I want it to be clear that having all the technical components of a digital course built for you doesn’t guarantee success.
And given the price and lack of a solid refund policy, I’d recommend investing only if you’re confident you’ll execute.
