What You Might Have Missed

wymhmIII

Guys…this has been such an amazing week! I had my first book signing, I broke 40,000 words on my novel project, I cleaned my WHOLE house top to bottom (and am enjoying its sparkly-ness), I got to get new glasses (really needed those…), got to see tons of friends and family members after my signing, and got to really celebrate all my accomplishments so far as an author. It was a terrific week! Can’t wait to see what March holds for me. I truly hope you all had as terrific of a week as I did, b...

10 Ways I’m Challenging Myself as a Writer This Year

This year, I’ve set some pretty hefty writing goals for myself. Some of them I’ll achieve, maybe there’ll be a few that I’ll change or let fall by the wayside. The main point of it all?To be challenged. It is my firm belief that you cannot grow as a writer without obstacles and hardships. If you’re merely content to remain on the same level of accomplishment and success, you might behappy, but you won’t be growing. You won’t be striving for greater skills, additional readers, or personal fulfi...

Wednesday Wanderment

NightBellsAuthorShotIII

Ahhh…I’d love to go sit by a pond and read today. I’d also love to sit by that same pond and write a good bit. Alas! I must fit reading, writing, Maiedae work, and a bevy of household tasks into my day today. No ponds for me! Just some good ol’ fashioned hard work today, thank you! Since I’ve got QUITE a lot to do between now and when I lay my head to rest this evening, enjoy some Wednesday Wanderment!

Project Fairy Tale: Introducing Aesop Monogatari!

So, when I was a little girl, one of my favorite videos to watch was this beautiful Japanese version of the Aesop tales! It starts off withThe Boy Who Cried Wolf.Aesop is the little boy in the story (instead of the elusive author) and when he runs from the wolves (after the villagers refuse to help him), he falls into a portal to another world. The title of this movie, produced by Toei Animation, isAesop Monogatari. It is delightful. I still love to watch this movie on occasion, partly becaus...
