Help Make Night Bells FREE for the Kindle!

Night Bells Cover Art FINAL

Hi, everyone! Any indie author will tell you the benefit of having a free eBook available for readers. Lindsay Buroker has spoken at length on this very topic and about how it has helped her gain a rabid dedicated fan following. The first book in my Tales from Niflheim series,Night Bells, is currently free at Smashwords and Novel Nook, but I’m still trying to get it listed as free on Amazon for my Kindle readers. If you have about a minute to spare today, I’d love it if you’d consider helping...

My New Love for Audiobooks

As I’ve been preparing for myNine Nights of Narniablogging event later this month, I’ve been listening to the audiobook version ofThe Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The version I’m listening to is performed by Michael York and he has such a fascinating way of bringing the characters to life! I have always thoroughly enjoyed being read to and I knew I would adore audiobooks.

I’m not sure w...

Finding Inspiration in Unlikely Places

IMG_0023

When I was a little girl, everything around me became a potential story-source. I viewed the world in a wholly unspoiled lens of imagination. Throughout each day, I would prattle on and on to myself, family, and friends my countless character ideas and story points. It was a magical time. Many writers might mourn the loss of their childhood simply for the ideas they mislaid in aging. When you’re a child, you hardly think of rushing to a notebook to write down every spare snippet of your imagi...

10 Great Things About Goodreads

5 Things

Me with Night Bells

The lovely Savannah of the Maiedae blog tagged me in her 5 THINGS post, so here’s my response post. :-) The point of this post is to share 5 things that you might not know about me. So, here goes!

//1// I created the beginnings of my own language in middle school. Not only did it have its own lettering system, but it also had different rules from English. I went all out–suffixes, prefixes, the beginnings of a dictionary, sentence structure, etc. Middle school, folks. I was a major nerd. ;-) I have l...

Springtime = The start of Allergy Season...

Springtime = The start of Allergy Season…

For much of this week, I’ve been bed (or couch) ridden with a pile of tissues lying around. I’ve literally used EVERY box of Kleenex in the house in just four days. Oh, springtime…how I wish I could love you…You’re so vibrant and pretty, but you’re a cruel mistress for the allergy-afflicted-souls. If, like me, you are practically dying from your spring allergies, I extend my condolences and best wishes! Get thee a bottle of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar,...
