Putting the FUN Back Into the Writing

As I’m writing this, I’m sitting in bed with my net book and relaxing while I blog. After working an 11 hour day yesterday, doing almost all the laundry in the house, sending off a manuscript to a beta-reader, making dinner, and getting groceries…my body is like, “Today, L.M.? You’re chillin’ while you work.” Sound familiar? Authors are busy folk in general, but for those of us who are independent (“indie”) authors, not only do we have normal-author levels of busyness, but we have ultra-turbo...

Today, I wanted to spend some time extending my thanks to all my wonderful readers. You have made the last (almost) seven months some of the most exciting of my life. Being an author is much harder than many people (including myself once-upon-a-time) believe, but it is one of the most rewarding, exciting, and worthwhile jobs of all!

Book Signing Awesomeness!

This weekend was INSANELY awesome and busy. On Saturday, I was at my very first book signing at Barnes and Noble in Rome, GA! It went so, so well. So many wonderful folks came out to grab the book and talk. It was terrific seeing so many smiling faces and to feel the love, support, and encouragement from them!
