Cameras Go Up to Punish Drivers in the Name of Climate Change – Then Vigilantes Strike | The Gateway Pundit
A major city has instituted a draconian law to satisfy the climate change religion backed up by a mass surveillance camera network resulting in a defacto tax costing residents hundreds. And authorities are shocked that citizens are taking matters into their own hands by vandalizing and disabling the Big Brother cameras that monitor compliance.
Citizens of London are furious over the city’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) rules that renders a large section of the city practically inaccessible by car because there are very few vehicles that meet the draconian emissions standards that permit them to enter the zone, according to The Drive.
London city officials have designated a 147 square-mile sector as its pollution-free Ultra Low Emission Zone, supposedly to clean up the air quality in the city that was once derided as “The Big Smoke” due to its air pollution.
The idea is to discourage citizens from driving in this zone by charging them fines for driving the wrong kind of auto into the area. Officials hope that citizens will get the message and buy vehicles that have higher emission standards and stop using their older vehicles.
To achieve this, officials have set up a massive network of hundreds of cameras that monitor the streets and take photos of every car on the road. This photo is then compared to vehicle registrations which tell the computer system whether the license plate is on a car that meets the standards.
If the car does not meet the standards, the owner is sent a $15.88 fine per day. And if the fines are not paid, they will be charged an additional $288.71 on top of the missed fines.
Even worse, the ULEZ has no grandfather clause for people who live and work in the area and no immunity for them from the ULEZ rules.
In other words, citizens were instantly barred from driving to the grocery store, their schools, their church, or their jobs unless they want to pay an additional $16 a day fine.
This means that the second the ULEZ surveillance system was switched on, millions of residents were made instant climate change criminals whose only choices are to suffer a $16 a day tax/fine, to stop driving at all, or be forced to spend up to $50,000 or more to buy a new car, such as an electric vehicle, that meets the new ULEZ standards.
Naturally, residents are not amused.
The problem is about to get even worse because London’s city hall has announced that it intends to expand this zone to over 600 square miles and to include an additional five million residents next year — all of whom will similarly become instant criminals once the new zone takes effect.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan described the plan as “transformational” and was excited to announce that “five million more people will be able to breathe cleaner air and live healthier lives,” the Metro reported.
Some residents inside the ULEZ, though, are not sitting idly by and allowing city hall to oppress them with these draconian climate change rules.
A group calling themselves the “ULEZ blade runners” is striking back and has engaged in a massive act of civil disobedience by vandalizing, disabling, or blocking the Big Brother surveillance system with which Mayor Khan has burdened them.
One man who claims to belong to this group told the Daily Mail that he and his fellow blade runners are trying to “wake up the sleeping masses.”
“There are 24 hours in a day. We either fight it or accept it. We do whatever we can,” the man said. “What we will achieve by our actions is the removal of the infrastructure and waking up the sleeping masses to what is really going on.”
“We are going to take down every single one no matter what,” another protester told the paper.
Fed-up citizens have used cordless impact tools to actually remove the cameras and tote them away, they have cut wires to make them inoperable or somehow obscured the camera lenses by covering them by various means such as bags or paint splashes.
Officials reported that 96 cameras were affected in one way or another in May, but since then the police have mysteriously stopped reporting on the number of cameras damaged or blocked.
One London Metropolitan Police report had said that about a dozen cameras are being vandalized per week in the capital city of a nation increasingly trending towards authoritarianism.
Naturally, the police department has announced that it has created a new unit to track down such scofflaws in an effort the department is calling “Operation Eremon.” The LMP, though, did not elaborate on how this unit will operate and what methods it will sue to catch the vandals.
City hall is also trying to denigrate the blade runner groups as mere “vandals” who have no purpose other than to act like punks.
“It is deeply disappointing to see opposition to a policy being used as an excuse for criminal damage,” a city representative said. “This petty vandalism of London’s essential transport infrastructure is completely unacceptable.”
Clearly city hall does not want to admit that these residents have a legitimate beef with their out-of-control government as elites who are nearly unaffected by these draconian rules place huge burdens on the lower and middle classes and make the lives of citizens worse.
These pitiful attempts to satisfy the global warming high priests really have little to no impact on the climate, especially since these same elites utterly ignore — and even sanction — the far worse acts of climate destruction being wrought by China and in the third world.
This ULEZ policy is just more proof that the elites care more about their agenda than they do about the lives of their own citizens.

He bashed Democrats and the national media for downplaying or even covering up Biden’s corruption.

iPhone 15 leaks tease while Disney Plus price rises cause concern

Without further ado, let’s take a look at who we have crowned as this week’s winner, and loser too.
Winner: The iPhone 15 is starting to take shapeWe’re around a month out from the rumoured launch date of the Apple iPhone 15, and this week we learned a little bit more about the chipset that’ll likely power the Pro and Pro Max variants of Apple’s next flagship phone.
According to Twitter tipster URedditor (via 9to5Mac), the iPhone 15 Pro’s chip – which is likely to be called the A17 – will feature six CPU cores and six GPU cores.
This would be one extra GPU core compared to the iPhone 14 Pro and its A16 Bionic – adding more power to a phone that already dominates when it comes to overall performance. The A17 Bionic chip is also expected to see Apple switching to a 3nm process, proving more energy efficient than the 4nm process of the A16 Bionic.
A speed bump is generally expected for each iPhone release, but a switch in the process is more uncommon and tends to herald bigger differences on the overall experience of a handset.
Loser: Disney raises prices for 4K streamingThere’s a clear Loser this week and it’s Disney, yes – the House of Mouse itself. It was announced on Wednesday that more price changes were coming to the company’s streaming service Disney Plus, making the streaming landscape an even pricier place to be.
These price rises were revealed in an odd manner, with Disney actually announcing that it was rejigging its tiers a little – adding a new premium plan for £10.99. This plan, which includes 4K streaming and watching on multiple devices, looks to be exactly the same as the previous £7.99 plan.
There is still a £7.99 plan, however it now ditches 4K support and downloads, maxing out at 1080p. There’s also a £4.99 ‘with ads’ plan, which again limits the user to 1080p – but pops in some annoying adverts to the mix too.
Essentially, if you want the true Disney Plus experience with proper HDR and 4K streaming then you’ll be paying £3 more per month from November 1.
Whether or not Disney Plus is worth it will likely depend on your viewing habits, but it’s safe to say that after the widely-derided Secret Invasion series and the extended wait for new titles, Disney’s streaming service isn’t quite as tempting as it was when it launched for £5.99 a mere three years ago.

Video: Up to $100,000 in Merchandise Stolen From Los Angeles Nordstrom Ransacked by Dozens of Looters Who Attacked Security Guards With Bear Spray | The Gateway Pundit
A Nordstrom store in the Topanga Mall in Los Angeles was ransacked by a flash mob of looters Saturday afternoon who targeted high end attire. Security guards were reportedly attacked with bear spray by the looters. Mayor Karen Bass (D) called the robbery “absolutely unacceptable.”
Los Angeles police report the robbers stole an estimated $60,000 to $100,000 worth of merchandise in the smash and grab attack.

Thirty to 50 people were part of a robbery crew Saturday that swarmed a Nordstrom department store and used bear spray on security guards at a Southern California mall.
The heist was reported around 4 p.m. at a Nordstrom in the Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park. The thieves used bear spray on two security guards who confronted them, police said.
…The thieves took off with thousands of dollars worth of luxury handbags and high-end clothing, an LAPD spokesman told NBC News.
“What happened today at the Nordstrom in the Topanga Mall is absolutely unacceptable. Those who committed these acts and acts like it in neighboring areas must be held accountable. The Los Angeles Police Department will continue to work to not only find those responsible for this incident but to prevent these attacks on retailers from happening in the future.”

“Today at around 4 p.m., a mob of criminals stole items from the Topanga Mall with an estimated loss of $60,000 to $100,000. Topanga Division officers were on the scene quickly and have several investigative leads. To criminals, it is just property taken. When asked if he defended the actions of his allies in Georgia as they tried to overturn the state’s election results. Trump claimed that he has so many allies that he didn’t what the reporter was talking about.

I don’t exactly know what you’re talking about, but I can tell you this that these people want to see democracy. They want to see our nation be great again. Right now, our nation is going down the tubes. Our nation is going to hell. We have a lot of allies that I don’t know, but they’re allies nonetheless. I can’t speak to that. Nobody can answer that question, but I can tell you one thing, there was a lot of shenanigans going on with the election.”

One of the tells that even Trump knows that the trouble is serious is when he pretends not to know his co-conspirators like Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, and various soon-to-be potentially indicted Georgia state Republican Party officials.
Trump pretending like he doesn’t know his co-conspirators was actually a better answer than the first one that he gave in Iowa when he didn’t deny trying to overturn the 2020 election.

REPORT: Joe Biden Wants to Build Housing for Illegal Immigrants at the Border | The Gateway Pundit
Joe Biden recently asked Congress for $40 billion dollars in the form of an emergency funding package.
Part of this funding would apparently go towards building housing for illegal immigrants at the border so that they have a place to live while they are being processed.
We have thousands of homeless veterans in this country and Biden wants to use tax dollars to build housing for people entering the country illegally.

President Joe Biden is reportedly asking Congress to approve a housing program for illegal immigrants at the southern border as part of his $40 billion emergency funding request.
Biden’s plan would provide housing for illegal immigrants where they could come and go as they please while the Department of Homeland Security puts them through an expedited process, Axios reported. Officials told the outlet that funding for the housing program — if approved by Congress — would allow the government to get the illegal immigrants through the legal process within three weeks.
The Biden administration claims a housing program will allow the federal government to keep track of illegal immigrants without placing them in a detention facility and would take some of the burden off overrun migrant shelters near the border. After the administration stopped holding illegal immigrants in detention facilities in 2021, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) expanded its use of GPS monitoring and phone calls to check in with illegal immigrants who are seeking asylum after being let go inside the U.S.
This is outrageous.
The Biden administration is asking Congress to approve a temporary housing program for migrant families that ILLEGALLY cross the southern border.

Shoplifting Threatens to Close Washington, DC Grocery Store Creating a Food Desert | The Gateway Pundit
The Giant Food store in Ward 8 of Washington, DC is apparently the only supermarket in that area and now it could end up closing due to rampant theft.
People who live in the area are worried that it may end up becoming a food desert.
This is where this issue of unpunished crime has been headed for months. How are stores supposed to stay open and operate if they are victims of constant theft?

Concerns are growing in Washington, D.C. about some major grocery stores being able to keep their doors open due to shoplifting.
During a news conference Friday, D.C. Councilman Trayon White said he spoke to the regional management of a popular Giant Food store on Alabama Avenue Southeast.
“We had the opportunity to meet with some of the leadership of this Giant,” White said. “Some of the regional leadership at this Giant, what we heard was disheartening. We learned that this Giant has lost over $500,000 in product loss, which is about 20% of the sales. We know it’s tough times and we know the price of food has skyrocketed in the last three years. But we cannot afford to hurt ourselves by constantly taking it from the store. It means that everybody is going to be without a place to eat. And enough is enough.”…
“To date, this Giant has had at least 135 stops from people stealing from the store,” he said. “And they almost double that amount that didn’t get stopped.”
This is eventually going to happen in other cities.
