Rep Jim Himes
Reprehensible Representative Jim Himes (D-Conn) once said that insulting former FBI Director James Comey is a grave sin. He even went so far as to say that “people will burn in hell” for dissing leaker-liar James Comey and dirty cop Robert Mueller.
In 2017, Himes presented at a conference with a “Russian Spy” that was identified in the Mueller report, Joseph Mifsud.
Himes was also a champion of pushing the Russia hoax and downplaying the facts of the Deep State FISA abuse against President Trump.
Though he used the appearance to trash continue to trash President Trump, his damning comments about Hunter Biden on Friday show just how bad things are getting for the Biden crime family.
Himes told MSNBC’s told Andrea Mitchell, “It is clear that he broke the law with respect to taxes and possibly the ownership of a handgun. He should be held accountable for that.”
As for House Oversight and House Judiciary Committee investigations into Biden family foreign influence peddling, Himes admitted Hunter Biden, up to and including the president, should be “held accountable,” too.
“If he traded on his father’s influence, he should be held accountable for that,” Himes said.

Justice Alito Issues Brutal Reminder to Woke Lawmakers as Congress Tries to Mandate SCOTUS Ethics Code | The Gateway Pundit
A conservative Supreme Court justice has issued a harsh rebuke against leftist lawmakers in Congress trying to implement an ethics code for the Court.
The behavior of Supreme Court justices has been in the spotlight recently as the left has been trying to take down conservative judges Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas for alleged ethics violations.
Now, liberals in Congress are trying to mandate a SCOTUS ethics code, probably in the hope that one of the conservative justices will be caught violating it and be impeached.
Unfortunately for the left, Alito has just told them that that is just not going to happen.
On Friday, the Wall Street Journal published an interview with Alito in which he said that Congress has absolutely no power whatsoever to regulate the behavior of the Supreme Court.
“I know this is a controversial view, but I’m willing to say it,” Alito said. “No provision in the Constitution gives them the authority to regulate the Supreme Court — period.”
Later, Alito implied that there were other justices who share his position on the issue. “I don’t know that any of my colleagues have spoken about it publicly, so I don’t think I should say. But I think it is something we have all thought about.”
According to the Washington Post, Michael Mukasey, who served as attorney general under President George W. Bush, agreed with Alito in his assessment of the issue.
“A law compelling the court to adopt such a code, or purporting to impose one legislatively, would violate the principle of separation of powers, and would also be unworkable inasmuch as there is no authority other than the justices themselves to apply such a code,” he said to a Senate committee.
Alito and Mukasey are absolutely right, and what they say is important for a number of reasons.
First of all, the Constitution instituted the separation of powers so that no one branch of government could have too much power. Also, it ensures that no branch of government has power over the other, although there is a system of checks and balances for the branches to keep each other in check.
By implementing an ethics code on the Supreme Court, Congress would thereby assert its authority to meddle in the affairs of the Court, meaning one branch would be interfering with the work of another.
In short, this would violate the principle of the separation of powers instituted by the Constitution.
In addition, it is important to note that the left’s push for a SCOTUS ethics code does not come from a genuine concern about the integrity of the court, but rather from petty partisan politics.
Under President Donald Trump, the Supreme Court became dominated by conservative justices, and that court has delivered a number of conservative rulings that have left leftists enraged.
Their push for an ethics code is really just a witch hunt against two conservative justices who they see as responsible for the decisions that they disagree with.
Hopefully, however, the Constitution will stand in their way and prevent them from doing that.

Yes, there have been a couple of standout deals over the past few months but nothing quite like this.

Loser: Samsung keeps it simple with new phone, watch and tablet updatesSamsung loves a summer product reveal and this week saw the latest in its line of Unpacked launches. Like most Samsung events, it was jammed to the rafters with new tech: two phones, two wearables and three tablets. There was certainly a lot to pick through. Just like the S23 launch earlier this year however, all the updates here are on the minor side.
The Z Fold 5 – the brand’s flagship foldable – got rid of the pesky screen gap that always felt out of place, while the Z Flip 5 played catch-up with the Oppo Find N2 Flip and Razr 40 Ultra by expanding the outer display.

Just a week following the unexpected and rather tragic death of their personal chef and friend, Tafari Campbell, the Obamas were spotted out and about, seemingly unscathed and unaffected.
Barack and Michelle Obama were spotted at the Vineyard Golf Club and Farm Neck Country Club, respectively, according to exclusive photos obtained by Daily Mail. The pictures are the first public glimpse of the Obamas since the loss of their dear friend and personal chef.
Dressed in a green polo shirt and white shorts, Barack Obama was seen engaged in a round of golf at the exclusive Vineyard Golf Club. The former president, noticeably bearing bandaged fingers, which causes speculations online.
Citizen journalist Travis of Flint, Michigan wrote, “just days after his personal chef and friend died in a very mysterious paddle boarding accident, Barack Obama appears to have injured fingers and a black eye. We still don’t know who the other person was and Obama loves paddle boarding. I think we can all guess what happened at this point!”

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Martha’s Vineyard law enforcement appears to have left a significant void in the details surrounding the tragic drowning of Obama’s private chef, Tafari Campbell.
The call log of the 911 distress call, received on the night of the accident, conspicuously omits the reason for the call.
Tafari Campbell, 45, met his tragic end while paddle boarding on Great Edgartown Pond, Martha’s Vineyard, on Sunday night. He was reportedly not alone, but local police have yet to disclose the other person’s identity.
Police confirmed Campbell was visiting Martha’s Vineyard and was employed by the Obamas at the time of his death. Barack and Michelle Obama were not present at their home but were in town when the incident occurred.
On the night of the incident, the Edgartown Police Department’s logs confirm the receipt of a 911 distress call at precisely 7:46 pm, reporting the 45-year-old struggling to stay afloat on the surface before he drowned.
Oddly, the call log shows the reason for this call as BLANK – an inconsistency, considering that all other calls made that night had their reasons clearly mentioned.
Dispatch calls between Martha’s Vineyard emergency services confirm the presence of a second paddle boarder with Campbell.
According to a statement from the Massachusetts State Police reported by MassLive, the unidentified paddleboarder tried to swim to Campbell but tragically, “did not reach him in time.”
After the failed rescue attempt, the individual managed to swim back to shore and alerted someone who then called 911.
A female made the initial 911 call, who, as of 8:18 pm, was actively searching for Campbell on a boat, per Daily Mail.
Adding to the mystery, the call’s origin was marked as Wilson’s Landing, a popular paddle board launch site roughly two miles from the Obama residence on Turkeyland Cove. This information contradicts the Massachusetts State Police records, stating that the first call originated from the Obamas’ residence.

Alan Dershowitz is one of the great legal thinkers of our time and he appeared on Newsmax with Greta Van Susteren this weekend to offer his take on the Hunter Biden plea deal.
Dershowitz took the deal apart in a matter of minutes, saying that the judge in the case wisely ‘smelled a rat.’
He implied that Hunter’s defense team intentionally kept aspects of the deal quiet because they knew it wouldn’t be seen as realistic.

Many times in his career, Dershowitz said, he has gone to the prosecutor of a case he was defending and laid out the reasons why they’re not going to win in order to “scare the prosecutor into making a good deal.”
“There was nothing here to scare the prosecutor,” he said. “The case on the guns was open and shut, a documentary case. The case on the taxes was essentially admitted. So there was nothing to bargain with. And yet he got this apparently total immunity, and he’s going to get the total immunity.”…
“I smelled a rat, and she smelled a rat,” he said. “What happened here is so obvious. They had an oral agreement — you know, a handshake. Oh, he’s not going to be prosecuted, but we don’t want to put it up front in the agreement ’cause it’ll sound too much like a sweetheart deal, so let’s understand that he’s not going to be prosecuted.
“Then the defense lawyers made a mistake, and they went out and they bragged about it and they announced it. And the Justice Department said, Whoa, wait a minute — blanket immunity? We’re still investigating. That’s what tipped off the judge that there was a real problem.

REPORT: Biden Withholding Key Funding for Schools With Hunting and Archery Programs | The Gateway Pundit
A hunting expert who recently spoke to FOX News is claiming that the Biden administration is withholding key funding to schools with hunting and archery programs.
He said this is due to the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act or BSCA.
At a time when so many young people need more exercise and time in the outdoors, this makes absolutely no sense.

The Biden administration is blocking key federal funding earmarked under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965 for schools with hunting and archery programs.
According to federal guidance circulated among hunting education groups and shared with Fox News Digital, the Department of Education determined that, under the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA) passed last year, school hunting and archery classes are precluded from receiving federal funding. The interpretation could impact millions of American children enrolled in such programs.
“It’s a negative for children. As a former educator of 30-plus years, I was always trying to find a way to engage students,” Tommy Floyd, the president of the National Archery in the Schools Program, told Fox News Digital in an interview. “In many communities, it’s a shooting sport, and the skills from shooting sports, that help young people grow to be responsible adults. They also benefit from relationships with role models.”
“You’ve got every fish and wildlife agency out there working so hard to utilize every scrap of funding, not only for the safety and hunter education, but for the general understanding of why stewardship is so important when it comes to natural resources,” he continued.
Jazz Shaw of Hot Air notes that there is nothing in the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that prohibits archery or hunting:
Nothing about archery or hunting was mentioned anywhere in the legislation. The portion being cited by the White House as justification for withholding the funding wasn’t even included in the original bill. An amendment tacked on at the end included an exception that would withhold funding to schools that “provide any person with a dangerous weapon or provide training in the use of a dangerous weapon.”
This looks like nothing more than the typical liberal disdain for the Second Amendment and people who own guns and hunt. The Biden admin. should not be allowed to withhold this funding.

House Republicans Call for New Trial for Army Deserter Bowe Bergdahl After His Conviction is Thrown Out | The Gateway Pundit
As we recently noted, Bowe Bergdahl’s court-martial conviction for Army desertion was recently thrown out by a federal judge on a claim that the sentencing judge was biased.
Now House Republicans are calling for a new trial for Bergdahl.
This is the right thing to do. As many as six soldiers were killed in the search for Bergdahl following his disappearance.

Republicans Want Bowe Bergdahl to Face New Trial After Desertion Conviction Is Thrown Out
House Republicans, led by Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL), are calling for the Department of Justice and Department of Defense to have a new trial for former Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl after a judge threw out his case for desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.
The New York Post reports U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton ruled Tuesday that Bergdahl would have his sentence overturned, after he pled guilty in 2017, due to his court-martial judge’s failure to disclose a possible conflict of interest. The reasoning was because Army Col. Jeffery Nance failed to disclose that he had applied to the Trump administration for a post as a federal immigration judge the same day.
GOP lawmakers wrote a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland Bergdahl saying having his conviction overturned dishonors the soldiers who were “endangered and potentially … killed” as a result of his actions. Bergdahl did not have to serve time in prison after pleading guilty to walking away from his post in Afghanistan, resulting in him being captured by the Taliban and held for five years.

We may not be proud of it, but most of us have experienced a violent hangover at least once or twice in our lives. You know, the kind where you’re lying in bed in the fetal position for hours on end, questioning your life decisions? I, for one, have been there…done that.
The worst part of a nasty hangover? When a glass of water, a cold shower, and a cozy blanket—heck, even a cup of microwavable mac and cheese—all seemingly fail at making you feel any bit better. ICYMI, folks on social media have been buzzing about the latest (and hottest?) fashion trend: a hangover hat, which is basically a cross between a sleeping eye mask, and a 90s-style beanie that’s giving horror movie, ski masked-killer when worn.
That said, this accessory isn’t actually intended for wearing out in public. (But, hey, you do, you boo.) Instead, it’s meant to potentially help cure a hangover or raging headache when worn. But does it actually work? We caught up with Patrick Porter, PhD, a neuroscience expert and the founder and CEO of BrainTap, to see if a hangover hat is really the answer to your hangover prayers.
