SoCal Doctor Charged With Stealing $150 Million From Federal Covid Program | The Gateway Pundit
A SoCal doctor was charged with stealing $150 million from the Federal Covid Program. Anthony Hao Dinh, 64, of Newport Coast, is alleged to have stolen the money through filing false claims for reimbursement under the Covid Uninsured Program. His alleged fraudulent claims were from July 2020 to March 2021.
The Department of Health and Human Services allows doctors to submit claim reimbursements if the patient did not have insurance and got a Covid vaccine or was tested and treated for the virus.
An Orange County doctor was charged with stealing around $150 million from a federal program providing COVID-19 health services to uninsured patients.
Anthony Hao Dinh, 64, from Newport Coast operated clinics in Westminster and Garden Grove. He is a licensed doctor of osteopathy who was an ear, nose and throat specialist, as well as a facial plastic surgeon, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Dinh allegedly stole millions of dollars by submitting claims for reimbursement under the Health Resources and Services Administration’s COVID-19 Uninsured Program.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services provides claims reimbursement to healthcare providers for testing, treating or administering vaccines to uninsured patients for COVID.
From July 2020 to March 2021, Dinh allegedly submitted false claims for treating patients who were already insured, services not actually rendered, and services that were not medically necessary, officials said.
“As a result of these false and fraudulent claims, HRSA made payments to defendant Dinh, through [his medical] practices, in the approximate amount of $150 million,” according to court documents.
KTLA continued: Officials said this is the “largest fraud scheme in the nation targeting the HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program uncovered at this time.”
He was also accused of fraudulent loan applications which totaled in $8 million which resulted in the doctor being given $2.8 million.
He has been charged with wire fraud, money laundering, and obstruction of justice. He was released on $7 million bond and has an arraignment hearing at the end of October in US District Court in Santa Ana, Ca.
If he is convicted of all charges, he can receive a total of 50 years in prison if it runs consecutively.
The Gateway Pundit has previously reported on Covid fraud. IRS employees last year were charged with stealing Covid relief funds to finance lavish lifestyles.
Five current or former IRS employees in Tennessee and Mississippi fraudulently received thousands of dollars in COVID relief funds to finance lavish lifestyles, according to the Department of Justice.
The five suspects allegedly submitted bogus loan applications to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program in an effort to gain over $1 million in funding.
They then used the loan funds to finance their extravagant lifestyles, such as buying new cars, luxury goods, and personal travel, including trips to Las Vegas, according to court documents.
“The IRS employees charged in these cases allegedly abused the trust placed in them by the public,” said Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite, Jr. of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “The Criminal Division is committed to safeguarding that public trust and protecting pandemic relief programs for the American people.”

Thousands of Patriots signed 2024 Caucus “pledge cards” and learned about the caucus system as they waited to see the President speak.

President Trump was again on fire when he delivered remarks in Ottumwa.
In his speech earlier, President Trump promised to “remain the champion of American farmers with four more years in the white house.” He continued, “Within hours of my inauguration, I will cancel every Biden policy that is brutalizing our farmers.” President Trump also told the crowd in Iowa, “Joe Biden does not love the American farmer. You found that out the hard way.”
Trump made another stop in Leighton, Iowa, where he met with Farmers and then took questions from the media.

“Thank you very much! It means a lot that you’d come out to see us,” said one farmer immediately after meeting the President. “I think you’re incredible people… I did get you $28 billion from China!” President Trump laughed as he applauded the American farmers.
Trump even signed one of the tractors. “You think Biden can do that? I don’t think he can,” he said after giving the tractor a priceless addition. The crowd laughed and cheered for the President as he continued speaking with the farmers.

Bill Maher Warns: Joe “Ruth Bader Biden” Shouldn’t Run in 2024 (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit
Bill Maher, a liberal comedian and political commentator known for his HBO show “Real Time with Bill Maher,” sounded the alarm bells about the prospect of Joe Biden running for re-election in 2024. Maher has taken it upon himself to voice a concern that many within the far-left Democratic Party have quietly whispered but rarely vocalized: Biden is too old to run again.
Maher compared Biden to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, coining the term “Ruth Bader Biden” to describe a leader who doesn’t know when to step aside and thereby jeopardizes his party and nation.
Ginsburg, who passed away in 2020, left a vacancy that was immediately filled by a conservative justice which made the far-left angry.
“Someone has to convince President Biden that if he runs again, he’s going to turn the country back over to Trump and go down in history as Ruth Bader Biden, the person who doesn’t know when to quit and so does great damage to their party and their country,” said Maher.
“All of us who, like Joe Biden, have been struggling lately with the political situation in the Democratic Party, an incumbent we admire who acquitted himself well in a first term, but who even members of his own party don’t want to see run for a second.”
Maher pointed out that Biden has shown signs of aging that can’t be ignored. The gaffes, the lapses, and the moments where he seemed out of touch with the present are alarming indications.
“Say what you want about Trump, but he remembers Kanye’s name,” Maher quipped.
In an X post, Maher wrote, “Dear Joe Biden, you did noble service for your country, but it’s time to let someone else finish the job. You don’t want to go down as Ruth Bader Biden.”

In a fiery series of messages on X, Donald Trump Jr. has unleashed a scathing critique of establishment Senate Republicans.
His target? The Senate’s proposed stop-gap bill that, among other things, aims to send $6.1 billion in aid to Ukraine. Trump Jr. is not holding back, naming names and calling out what he sees as betrayal by Republican leaders.
“If only these RINOs fought this hard for things that actually helped American citizens!!!” Trump Jr. wrote.
Trump Jr. began his tirade by focusing on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), writing, “RINOs in the Senate are trying to jam billions more in Ukraine funding down our throats. He didn’t stop there. Trump Jr. continued to call out other high-ranking Republicans, including Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD), Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), and Sen. Todd Young (R-IN).

Senator Katie Boyd Britt also found herself in the crosshairs. Don Jr. accused her of reneging on her campaign promises. “When Sen. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito was not spared either. Trump Jr. questioned how West Virginia, one of the most pro-Trump states, could be represented by Capito, whom he labeled as one of the worst anti-Trump RINOs. “Call her office: 202-224-6472,” he urged.

He went on to expose what he sees as a deceptive tactic by Senate Republicans, tweeting, “Just so everyone understands what’s happening – Senate GOP RINOs are trying to add a weak border security amendment to the CR to trick people into accepting a bad bill with billions more to Ukraine – Even though they know it undercuts House conservatives against Biden & the Dems.”

In a follow-up tweet, Trump Jr. took the time to thank the senators he views as standing against this move. “Thank you to these America First patriots in the US Senate for leading the fight against unlimited Ukraine funding: Senators Mike Lee (R-UT), Rand Paul (R-KY), JD Vance (R-OH), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Mike Braun (R-IN), RogerMarshall (R-KS), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), and Josh Hawley (R-MO).”
The Gateway Pundit reported that in a 88-9 vote, the Senate passed a stopgap measure that will temporarily prevent a government shutdown for 45 days.
The vote concluded with three hours to spare before the fiscal year ended.
The short-term spending bill, also known as continue resolution, was passed by the House earlier in the evening in a 335-91 vote.

Fitbit gets Googley, as Disney begins password crackdown
OPiNION: September is usually a busy month in the world of tech, and 2023 has been no different.
Meta stole headlines with the launch of the Meta Quest 3 and Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, with a new vision of the future for virtual and augmented reality. Meanwhile, Jim Ryan stepped down from PlayStation, Panos Panay ditched Microsoft for Amazon, and Xiaomi released yet another smartphone in the Xiaomi 13T Pro.
The Trusted Reviews 2023 Awards also took place this week, as our team of experts picked out the absolute best products across several categories.
But for this column, we have selected the biggest winners and losers of the week in the tech world, and you can find out our picks below:
Winner: Fitbit/GoogleWe have a joint winner this week, and that’s because Fitbit and Google have finally combined their best qualities to launch a hugely promising wearable. Google completed its acquisition of Fitbit back in 2021, but it’s understandably taken time for the two companies to start singing from the same hymn sheet.
The new Fitbit Charge 6 is the very first wearable from Fitbit to take full advantage of the Google connection, featuring a number of handy Google apps such as YouTube Music, Google Maps and the Google Wallet.
Fitbit already made great heart rate readers, but it has apparently been improved upon even further for the Charge 6 with 60% more accuracy thanks to a Pixel Watch machine learning algorithm. You also get all of the excellent Fitbit fitness features too, including 20 new workout modes.
And for the cherry on top, Fitbit is lowering the launch price compared to its predecessor. The Fitbit Charge 5 was originally priced at $179.95 / £169.99, while the new Fitbit Charge 6 is available for just $159.95 / £139.95.
We will have to wait until we can test the Fitbit Charge 6 to determine whether it lives up to the promising feature set, but at the very least, it’s great to see Google and Fitbit finally collaborating to deliver a fitness tracker with high aspirations for both software and hardware.
Loser: Disney+TV shows are now spread across so many different streaming services that it’s difficult to watch the latest and greatest without forking up a scary amount of cash. This is why many people have resorted to sharing accounts with friends and family.
However, Disney Plus has confirmed that it will start restricting password sharing in Canada as soon as November 1 2024, with the crackdown likely to expand to other countries in the following months. This means Disney Plus subscribers will not be able to share their subscription with anyone outside of their household. You’ll still be able to stream Disney Plus on portables outside of your home, but they must be registered to your primary personal residence.
This won’t be a rule that can be easily bypassed either, as Disney will be able to determine whether your IP address matches the primary address. So if it detects that someone is accessing the account from another household, they’ll block entry and be prompted to sign up to their own account instead.
Netflix enforced its own password crackdown earlier this year, and so far it looks like it’s been a huge success, as Antenna reports that Netflix benefitted from 2.6 million new accounts in July 2023. There’s no doubt that Disney has been inspired by this success story.
But this is bad news for TV streamers. Not only are subscription services becoming more expensive, but the industry is also becoming more fragmented. And now services such as Netflix and Disney Plus are removing the ability to share passwords, there are likely to be long-term consequences for the streaming landscape. It’s not possible for everyone to sign up for every single subscription service, so sacrifices will have to be made in the future.

Dr. Scott Atlas resigned from his post as a temporary coronavirus advisor to President Trump in November 2020. Dr. Atlas was brought on in August 2020 as a special government employee for 130 days. Atlas resigned before his tenure ran out. Atlas’ less restrictive approach to the pandemic, especially on lockdowns and school closures was seen by many Trump supporters as a counter-point to the restrictive, doctrinaire views of leading White House Coronavirus Task Force members Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx.
Fauci and Birx destroyed millions of lives and killed millions of people with their COVID policies that prevented any promising medications from being distributed to the masses.
Dr. Atlas was pushed out of the COVID team despite the scientific evidence he brought to the team that was rejected.
It was only later that it was confirmed (what The Gateway Pundit had reported since early 2020) that Dr. Fauci funded the Wuhan labs where the doctors worked on gain-of-function experiments with COVID viruses.
Dr. Atlas early on rejected Fauci and Birx and their destructive and tyrannical policies. Atlas reported that two-thirds of COVID deaths had at least 6 comorbidities. Atlas unloaded on Fauci for his lockdowns that destroyed millions of lives. Atlas early on reported that there was no reason for children and young adults to take the dangerous vaccines that did not prevent a person from coming down with the disease.
This week Dr. Scott Atlas joined KUSI News out of San Diego to discuss the COVID vaccines that are still being pushed by the Biden regime.
Dr. Atlas told KUSI that doctors and politicians still pushing the COVID-19 vaccines are a complete disgrace.
Dr. Atlas: “I don’t know if we’ve elected the dumbest people in the country to be in charge or what’s happening here but, we have a country that now recommends a booster for everyone over six months of age. An experimental drug, for a virus, particularly children have no serious risk from who are healthy. This is a virus that has lost a lot of it’s lethality anyway. The overwhelming majority of people have long term immunological protection from previous infection. I don’t care what these bureaucrat say, we have to look at these numbers, look at the studies, look at the data, use your brain. I don’t know what else to say, it’s frightening, it’s very sad that these people have power still. I’ve said it before, we have to vote these people out… It will only end by people having a brain, common sense… (on doctors prescibing COVID vaccines) They are a complete disgrace. Greg Gutfeld Dings FOX and RNC for Including Univision in GOP Debate: ‘Worst Partnership Since Bud Light Hired Dylan Mulvaney’ (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit
During ‘The Five’ on FOX News on Friday, host Greg Gutfeld took shots at his own network and the RNC for including Univision in the second Republican debate.
Much like Megyn Kelly, Gutfeld criticized moderator Ilia Calderon, noting the liberal bias embedded in her questions.
At one point, Greg qualifies his criticism, saying this was more on the RNC than FOX but his point was already made.

Fox News anchor Greg Gutfeld compared his network’s partnership with Univision to that of Bud Light and Dylan Mulvaney.
The two networks came together to host and moderate the second Republican primary debate on Wednesday. A panel of moderators included Dana Perino of Fox News, Stuart Varney of Fox Business, and Ilia Calderon of Univision. Gutfeld congratulated Perino on Thursday during The Five, claiming she was “shouldering the load for two hours.”
“My problem with the debate wasn’t really the candidates at all because the outcomes you get are created by the design, and Fox joining Univision perhaps was the worst partnership I’ve ever seen since Bud Light hired Dylan Mulvaney,” Gutfeld said.
“I mean, you have a host unload a litany of liberal cliches whose premises we challenge successfully every day. And yet, they were treated as approved truths,” he said of Calderon. “She had no follow-up to each one, which is weird, so it was like a deliberate list prepared by the DNC to tweak the candidates, to tweak the audience. It didn’t feel like a journalism debate to me. It felt like The View without pastries.”

75,000 Healthcare Workers Set to Go on Strike – Biggest Healthcare Strike In U.S. History | The Gateway Pundit
More than 75,000 healthcare workers may go on strike if negotiators fail to reach an agreement with their contract, which expires on Saturday night at midnight. The strike would affect Kaiser Permanente in five states and Washington D.C.
The healthcare workers include nurses, lab technicians, orderlies, therapists and pharmacists. They are planning to walk off the job for three days in October. This would be the biggest health care strike in U.S. history and will involve 40 percent of Kaiser’s workforce.
There have been disagreements over pay and staffing issues. There have also been issues of worker burnout with staff shortages and concern over giving the patients adequate care.
Healthcare workers are asking for wage increases among other demands.
More than 75,000 health care workers could go on strike within days if negotiators fail to reach agreement on a contract that expires Saturday at midnight. If it occurs, the strike would impact Kaiser Permanente facilities in five states and Washington, D.C.
Without a deal, Kaiser Permanente workers including nurses, lab technicians, orderlies, pharmacists and therapists are ready to walk off the job for three days from October 4 to 7. The action would impact hospitals, clinics and medical offices in California, Colorado, Oregon, Virginia and Washington as well as Washington, D.C., according to the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions.
Such a walkout would represent the biggest health care strike in U.S. history, the coalition, which is negotiating on behalf of about 40% of Kaiser’s workforce, said in giving notice last week.
The health care workers are on the verge of striking after disagreements about pay and staffing, with some employees telling CBS MoneyWatch that more employees are needed at their facilities to provide adequate care to patients and avoid worker burnout. The disagreements have persisted after months of contract talks between the Oakland-based health care giant and the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions.

The U.S. Marines currently have a shortage of camouflage uniforms. Are those words you ever thought you would see in print anywhere?
This is a prime example of the deterioration of the American Military under Joe Biden.
The United States has billions of dollars to give to the country of Ukraine, but not enough camouflage uniforms for our own soldiers.

Camouflage uniforms are designed so that it’s hard for the enemy to find US soldiers and troops. Now it’s becoming hard for Marines to find a uniform for themselves.
A shortage in camouflage uniform production has led Marine Corps leaders to relax the rules on what service members are required to wear for training.
And new recruits are also getting short-changed.
The everyday uniform for most Marines is the woodland-pattern camouflage combat utility uniform. But Marine Corps won’t have a full supply of that uniform until either summer or fall of 2024.
That means Marines will be allowed to wear the desert-colored combat utility uniform, or the flame-resistant organizational gear that’s also known as FROGs.

A contract dispute or complaints about wages are just excuses. If this was seen as a priority, the job would get done. This is a pathetic sign of decline.

Biden Lashes Out After People Begin Doubting COVID Shots | The Gateway Pundit
In a Wednesday speech in San Francisco, President Joe Biden hammered Americans for shying away from taking any more shots for new coronavirus variants and for increasingly turning a deaf ear to discussions about vaccines.
Biden appeared at the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel in San Francisco, California, to deliver a short speech on America’s efforts on artificial intelligence for scientific research and medical applications. But at the outset of his little address, he went off on vaccines.
Biden opened his speech claiming that it has “disturbed” him that the federal government has not paid attention to “investments in science and technology” over the past 30 years, according to the White House transcript of the event.
“We used to lead the world” in research and development in science and technology, he said. U.S. spending on such things has fallen from 2 percent of Gross Domestic Product to only .07 percent, Biden noted.
He added, “And I don’t know how we can be the safest, most secure, and healthiest nation in the world without significant investment in — in science and technology.”
The president then urged everyone to talk more about the need for this investment in research. And that led him to go off on vaccine deniers.
“And one of those areas — you saw what happened with regard to the crisis — health crisis that we had that cost us,” Biden exclaimed. “We lost well over a million people. And as time began to move on, you had more and more voices saying, ‘No, no, no. You don’t need to get that shot. You don’t need to be — get — you don’t need to.’
“And we have a new strain of COVID now, and we have answers for it. But I just would urge those in public life and both political parties or no political party to be cautious about the ac- — the sometimes inflammatory things you say about this, because people’s lives are at stake,” he railed.
The World Health Organization claims that 1,127,152 Americans died from COVID. That number may be high, since there was so much fraud in data collection, especially early in the pandemic. But even if that is the proper number, it can be compared to the one million Americans who have died from drug overdoses since the year 1999, with 106,700 of that number dead from opioids in 2021 alone.
Yet, Joe Biden rarely mentions the opioid and fentanyl crisis at all. And that is something we can reduce with serious-minded border, drug and law enforcement policies that Biden refuses to put in place.
In addition, if the number of deaths due to COVID are correct, it also shows that the U.S. still had higher rates of death from the virus despite the ubiquitous “voices” speaking in favor of the various COVID-19 vaccines throughout the pandemic years.
The U.S. had higher COVID death counts than other “wealthy countries,” The New York Times reported in 2022.
This is despite the fact that the U.S. stands in the “above world average” category for the number of citizens who have been administered at least one COVID-19 shot and reaching 81.82 percent of the population, according to Johns Hopkins.
This effort to force the shot on the nation by any means necessary does not seem to have worked as well as advocates claimed it would if everyone got the vax, not just here, but elsewhere, as well.
And like many other world governments, many state governments in the U.S. pulled out all the stops to force people to take the shots, often with disastrous effect. Officials and employers threatened to take away our jobs, our freedom, our education and our futures to force us all to run to some health provider to get our jabs. You were barred from eating at restaurants, attending school and in many cases were fired from your job if you didn’t take the vaccine.
The federal government got in the act to a lesser degree by cashiering thousands of U.S. soldiers from the service because they would not take the vaccine, shutting down federal government offices, and floating vaccine mandates all across Washington D.C.
Biden’s pleas to get people talking about his beloved vaccine all seems far more like an effort to exert power than one to prevent disease. And clearly, Biden is seething still today that he never had the powers of coercion that other nations visited upon their citizens during the worst of the pandemic hysteria.
