LOL: Beto O’Rourke is Very Upset With Biden Over News of More Border Wall Being Built in Texas | The Gateway Pundit

Does everyone remember Beto O’Rourke? He is the rich white guy in Texas who pretends to have a Latino name and runs for public office and loses every other year or so.

He is apparently very upset over the news that the Biden administration is going to build more border wall in Texas.

Do you think Beto has any illegals living in his luxurious home?

RedState reports:

Beto O’Rourke Just Tossed Joe Biden Under the Bus and Backed Over Him

While the spotlight has been on Republican inter-party strife lately, there’s trouble in paradise across the aisle. The border crisis has reached levels of disaster so obscene that not even Democrats can ignore it any longer, and the Biden administration is starting to shift its strategy.

According to RedState’s Bob Hoge, the president has waived several environmental laws to start construction on a new section of the largely incomplete border wall…

As moves go, it’s a rather tepid one, but for true believers, it’s a betrayal. Thrice-failed politician Beto O’Rourke, who has lost races for the governor, senator, and president, is one of those true believers. He’s furious at Biden for daring to take even the smallest step toward sanity.

Walls don’t work? That’d be news to, you know, pretty much the entire history of civilization. In context, walls obviously deter illegal entries at the Southern Border (when they don’t have doors welded open). There’s a reason the hot spots for crossings are the shallower portions of the Rio Grande River where illegal immigrants can simply wade across.

Here’s Beto’s tweet:

1. Walls don’t work

2. President Biden promised he wouldn’t build them

3. Now even harder for voters to distinguish between him & Trump on border/immigration

4. Wasted opportunity to use executive power to actually fix our asylum system instead of impotent political posturing https://t.co/AQkxokNd2a

— Beto O’Rourke (@BetoORourke) October 5, 2023

Hey Francis, all your donors up north are screaming about the illegals in their sanctuary cities.
Take the L, and no, we’re never voting for you. https://t.co/iAuzILOIqS

— Calvin (@DarthCalvin) October 5, 2023

If walls don’t work, how does this guy keep people from walking straight into his house? https://t.co/ligdDFn35Q

— Teacher in RI (@teacherinRI) October 5, 2023

Maybe this will be Beto’s next excuse to run for office.

Google Pixel 8 Pro vs Apple iPhone 15 Pro: Everything you should know

Google has just announced the Pixel 8 Pro and it comes mere weeks after Apple showcased its superpowered iPhone 15 Pro. Here’s how the two phones compare.

Google and Apple releasing new phones within a few weeks of each other has become a yearly tradition and it’s fascinating to see where each behemoth focuses big upgrades on each year.

Here we’ll compare the Pixel 8 Pro – Google’s high-end flagship for 2023 – against Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro and its larger Pro Max sibling. Aside from running Android and iOS respectively, what are the biggest notable differences between these two phones? Read on to find out all the important details.

The iPhone 15 Pro comes in two sizes

Apple splits its Pro series into two devices, a 6.1-inch Pro and a 6.7-inch Pro Max. Aside from the larger device having a 5x telephoto camera, rather than 3x, both these Pro phones are virtually the same. One is just bigger.

Apple-iPhone-15-Pro-Action-ButtoniPhone 15 Pro

It’s a different story for the Pixel. The Pixel 8 Pro comes in one size with a 6.7-inch screen and unlike the Pixel 7 Pro the screen is flat rather than curved. The iPhone has long had a flat screen and we much prefer it.

If you want a smaller Pixel then there’s the 6.2-inch Pixel 8. This lacks some of the higher-end features – the dedicated zoom camera and higher-res display for example – but is more affordable.

Pixel 8 Pro PR shootPixel 8 Pro PR shootPixel 8 ProThe Pixel 8 Pro is after Apple’s video crown

The iPhone has long been the best phone for capturing videos, a position it only improved upon with the iPhone 15 Pro. The latest phone added support for log format, ideal for those who wish to colour-grade footage to ensure it matches up with other cameras.

With the Pixel 8 Pro, Google is certainly looking to catch up in the video stakes. The new phone adds the same Real Tone feature we’ve seen before in photos, adding extra realism to skin tones. Google also said a new Dual Exposure video mode reduces grain and ups detail in trickier lighting.

Whether these new additions will help Google topple the iPhone when it comes to video recording remains to be seen.

A17 Pro vs Tensor G3

Both of these phones are powered by custom chips, each designed specifically for the device. The iPhone 15 Pro uses the A17 Pro, while the Pixel 8 Pro has the Tensor G3 at its core.

Let’s start with the Tensor G3. Google has said this chip, which keeps an AI focus, has a machine learning mode 10x more complex than the previous chip. Google also likes to focus on how the chip powers other aspects of the phone, like how the Call Screen feature can now filter out more spam calls than before and Clear Calling can improve the quality of incoming calls. It also said the G3 helps the new Magic Eraser for Audio work effectively, allowing you to remove annoying audio from videos.

Of course, we’ll have to run the Tensor G3 through our usual suite of benchmarking tests to judge how it performs when we get the phones in for review.

Tensor G3Tensor G3

The Apple A17 Pro, on the other hand, offers a lot in the performance area. This 3nm chipset gets comfortably the highest scores in various synthetic benchmarking tests, including Geekbench 6, and it will allow the iPhone 15 Pro to play high-end games like Assasin’s Creed Mirage.

Plenty of software updates across the board

While Apple doesn’t specify how many software updates a phone will get, we can assume the iPhone 15 Pro will be supported for a good number of years simply by the fact iOS 17 arrives on devices like the iPhone XR and XS.

Google, on the other hand, has confirmed that the Pixel 8 Pro will get OS, Feature Drops and Security Updates for a very impressive seven years.

The Pixel 8 Pro really packs in the megapixels

It wouldn’t be a Pixel launch without a heavy focus on the camera skills, both in terms of hardware and software. The 8 Pro packs in three high-res cameras, including a 50MP main sensor, a new 48MP ultrawide and a 48MP telephoto.

Both the Pixel 8 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro tout 5x optical zoom on their telephoto cameras, however the Pixel can then utilise the Ai-tinged Super Res Zoom to get up to 30x. The iPhone 15 Pro has a 48MP main camera, however its secondary sensors are both 12MP.

There’s autofocus on the Pixel’s 10MP front camera too, which is always a welcome addition.

Once we’ve fully reviewed both these phones we’ll pit them against each other to see which is the best camera phone on the market.

iPhone 15 Pro camerasiPhone 15 Pro camerasiPhone 15 Pro camerasThere’s a lot that is the same

When you get into the weeds, there’s a lot that’s the same between these two phones. They both start at $999/£999 with 128GB storage, eschew expandable storage and charge via USB-C.

They both have OLED screens that can drop down to 1Hz and up to 120Hz and both support wireless charging.

Senator Rand Paul Says Criticism of Ongoing Funding for Ukraine is a ‘Growing Movement’ in Washington | The Gateway Pundit

A growing number of Americans are tired of seeing our leaders in Washington send mountains of cash to Ukraine when there are so many serious problems here at home.

According to Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, there are some people in Washington who are getting that message and the movement is growing.

It’s maddening to see America’s problems ignored, week after week.

FOX News reports:

Sen. Rand Paul says criticism of Ukraine funding is a ‘growing movement’ in Washington

As the House searches for a new speaker and the Senate works to get Ukraine assistance back into a spending bill come November 17 when the current deal expires, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., says there is a “growing movement” within the Republican party to cut additional funding altogether.

“We have problems funding Social Security, we have problems funding, Medicare, Medicaid, all the things that have already been promised to our people we have trouble funding, and we just don’t have extra money just to be sending to another country,” Paul told Fox News Digital in an interview this week.

The U.S. has sent more than an estimated $100 billion of taxpayer dollars to Ukraine since the war began, according to the White House…

Paul — prior to Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s ouster — said that all eyes will be on what the House speaker does in the next go-around of spending discussions, citing a caveat that may “dampen” efforts to continue sending funds to Ukraine, which has been gripped by a Russian invasion since last year.

“The Republican Conference in the house has a rule, that if a majority of the Republican Conference is for something or against something, the speaker can’t bring it up by rule,” he said.

This matches what Rand Paul has been saying on Twitter.

It’s reprehensible that Congress sends so much of your money to a corrupt oligarchy. To add insult to injury, they do it all without a Special Inspector General to enforce serious oversight. https://t.co/V9RLMAFPcT

— Rand Paul (@RandPaul) October 5, 2023

Paul is one of the few people in the Senate who seems to get it.

Kenyan Girls’ High School Temporarily Shuts Down Due to Outbreak of Mysterious Illness Which Reportedly Paralyzes Legs of Over 90 Female Students (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

St. Theresa’s Eregi Girls High School in Kakamega County, Kenya, has been temporarily closed following an outbreak of a mysterious illness that has left more than 95 students hospitalized.

The disease is characterized by paralysis in the limbs, rendering most of the students unable to walk. The school administration, in consultation with government officials, has decided to send Form One (Grade 7), Form Two (Grade 8), and Form Three (Grade 9) students home until further assessments are made. Blood samples from the affected students have been sent to the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) for analysis, according to Kenyan news outlet Tuko.

Based on the videos circulating on social media, most of the students are suffering from some sort of mystery illness that causes paralysis in their legs, making it difficult for them to walk. Some reports have attributed the incident to “mass hysteria.”

A possible case of mass hysteria has broken out at an all-girls school in western Kenya, with girls reporting that they are unable to walk. pic.twitter.com/YeJSSdijyG

— Catch Up (@CatchUpFeed) October 4, 2023

The situation at St. Theresa’s Eregi Girls High School reached a critical point when students demanded to go home due to the outbreak.

The school administration initially reported at least 80 students hospitalized but later confirmed that the number had risen to more than 95. The County Government of Kakamega stated that only Form Four students would remain in school as the rest break for a week. The students will return once the situation is assessed and measures are put in place to prevent a recurrence of a similar situation.

Blood samples from the affected students have been sent to the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) laboratories in Nairobi and Kisumu for analysis. The exact nature of the mysterious illness remains undisclosed, but health officials are working diligently to determine the nature and origin of the ailment, as well as to develop appropriate treatment protocols, according to Kenyan website Star.

Sources privy to the situation told the Star that 30 students are admitted to Kakamega Level Five Hospitals, 20 to Shibwe Level Four Hospital and  12 to Iguhu Level Four Hospital.

A medic at Ihugu Hospital told the Star that initial laboratory tests had revealed that the students had elevated electrolytes, meaning that they had lost fluids.

Electrolytes are essential for basic life functioning, such as maintaining electrical neutrality in human body cells and generating and conducting action potentials in the nerves and muscles.

Prolonged or severe diarrhoea and sweating can result in the loss of electrolytes.

The cause of the mysterious illness affecting the students remains undetermined, but social media users are drawing connections to experimental COVID-19 vaccines.

Liz Crokin, an award-winning author and seasoned journalist with over two decades of experience, noted on platform X, “Last year, the Kenya World Health Organization tweeted that students from this school were among those vaccinated for COVID-19 as part of a 10-day campaign.”

“Maybe there’s a connection or perhaps not. Either way, there’s media already pushing the narrative that it’s a case of “mass hysteria” which I find super sus regardless. Pray for these girls!” she concluded.

The tweet she referred to was from WHO last year.

@WHO & @MOH_Kenya are this week encouraging citizens to take #COVID19 vaccines in Kakamega, Kilifi & Kisumu counties. Pixel 9 range tipped to feature larger displays than Pixel 8

Next year’s Pixel 9 range could feature larger displays than this year’s phones, according to a reliable tip.

Google only announced its latest Pixel 8 flagship smartphone range less than a day ago, but we’re already receiving solid predictions about next year’s follow-ups.

Well-known display analyst Ross Young has taken to Twitter/X to issue an interesting prediction about next year’s Pixel 9 range.

We published the display sizes for the Google 9a, 9, 9 Pro and next Pixel Fold in our latest Advanced Smartphone Report. All of them will be bigger than this year’s models…

— Ross Young (@DSCCRoss) October 4, 2023

Young predicts larger displays will be coming to the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, and indeed the Pixel 9a. “All of them will be bigger than this year’s models,” he states.

Presumably, the Pixel 9a won’t be arriving until later in 2025. With the Pixel 7a just 5 months old at this point, we’re not even expecting to hear about the Pixel 8a launch until mid way through 2024, so this is some advance warning.

Young doesn’t specify exactly how large these displays will be, but it sounds like they’re known quantities, and that they will be published in his firm’s Advanced Smartphone Report. In a subsequent post, Young clarifies that “we may disclose the Google roadmap at our upcoming conference”.

In the case of the Pixel 8, of course, a bigger display could simply mean a return to the Pixel 7’s 6.3-inch screen. Google’s new entry-level flagship has shrunk things down a little with a 6.2-inch display.

The Pixel 8 Pro has stuck with the same 6.7-inch display as the Pixel 8 Pro before it, so we could be looking at a 6.8-inch screen for the Pixel 9 Pro, rather like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Does the Google Pixel 8 support eSIM and dual-SIM?

The Pixel 8 series is here, and we know many of you are wondering if you should get one of Google’s latest devices. An important factor is SIM compatibility and versatility. Does the Google Pixel 8 support eSIM and dual-SIM? Let’s tell you all about it.

QUICK ANSWER

The Google Pixel 8 has eSIM support, as well as a single physical nano-SIM card slot. You can take advantage of dual-SIM functionality, using both the eSIM and the nano-SIM card slot.

JUMP TO KEY SECTIONS

Does the Google Pixel 8 have eSIM?

Yes, the Google Pixel 8 supports eSIM. Both phones come with a physical nano-SIM card slot, as well as support for eSIM.

Just keep in mind that your mileage in successfully using your eSIM may vary. In the past, Google warned us that while its phones officially support eSIM, the feature is carrier-dependent and may not be supported by all carriers in all countries.

We’re pretty lucky in the US, though. The three major carriers support eSIM, which include Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. Additionally, most MVNOs also support eSIM. That said, some cellphone service providers make activating an eSIM harder than others.

Yes, the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have dual-SIM functionality. You can simultaneously use the physical nano-SIM card slot, as well as an eSIM. If your carrier allows it, you can also use two eSIM cards simultaneously and leave the physical nano-SIM card slot empty.

How to activate eSIM on the Google Pixel 8Pixel 8 Lifestyle Photography for Google Fi

Activating an eSIM on the Google Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro is relatively simple. If you got your phone from a carrier, chances are it already linked your phone’s IMEI to an eSIM profile.

If you purchased the phone unlocked or the carrier didn’t do the initial set-up, you will need to be a bit more hands-on. The carrier might provide you with a QR code, which you can use to set up your eSIM. Some carriers may also require that you call or go to one of its stores to download the eSIM into your phone. Here’s our full guide on activating an eSIM on a Google Pixel phone.

If you’re migrating your eSIM from another phone, be sure to turn off the older device before you try activating the eSIM on the Pixel 8 series handset. While it’s a small step, many overlook it, and it may cause activation issues.

FAQsCan I use two SIMs on Pixel 8?

You can, but the Pixel 8 series devices only have one physical SIM card slot. You can use either a nano-SIM card and an eSIM, or two eSIMs.

How many eSIMs can I have on a Google Pixel 8?

You can store a bunch of eSIM profiles on your Google Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro. That said, you can only use up to two at a time. The rest will have to stay disabled, but you can switch between them as you wish.

Can I transfer my eSIM from an iPhone to a Pixel 8?

Sadly, it’s still impossible to migrate eSIM profiles from an iPhone to Android. You will have to go through the eSIM activation process to remove the eSIM from the iPhone and add it to the Pixel 8.

Can I delete an eSIM from my Google Pixel 8?

While activating an eSIM may not always be as straightforward as we wish, deleting it is. Just go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Erase SIM.

Families and Vets Headed to Army Navy Football Game in MA Lose Hotel Reservations to Illegal Immigrants | The Gateway Pundit

Multiple familes and veterans who were planning to attend the Army/Navy football game in Massachusetts recently learned that their hotel reservations have been cancelled because the state needs the hotel rooms for illegal border crossers.

Massachusetts Dem Governor Maura Healy recently declared a state of emergency over the flood of illegals into the state.

This is what Americans last looks like.

Townhall reports:

Hotel Rooms for Army-Navy Fans Canceled to House Illegal Immigrants

Many service members, veterans and their families who booked hotel rooms for the upcoming Army-Navy football game in Massachusetts had their reservations canceled to house illegal immigrants.

According to the Boston Herald, a travel agent who managed the travel bookings for many families headed to the game this weekend revealed that at least 70 rooms across three hotels were canceled. Reportedly, Massachusetts was recently contracted to put illegal immigrants in hotels in the state.

A spokesperson for a hotel management company that operates hotels near Gillette Stadium, where the game is being held, confirmed that the rooms were “taken back” to house “refugees.”

“There is no sporting event that is more patriotic than the Army-Navy game. It’s beyond shameful that anyone tied to the game and its traditions is having to scramble for a place to stay while hotel rooms are being handed out to folks who largely don’t even know that the game exists,” Mark Harris at Outkick wrote about the situation.

This is a disgrace.

What is Google’s Super Res Zoom?

Google finally announced its brand-new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro handsets, which come with a swath of features, including Super Res Zoom.

We’ve all been waiting on tenterhooks for Google’s latest Pixel event, and the company has finally revealed the latest Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro to the public.

These new handsets come with a wide array of features, from Audio Magic Eraser to the titular Super Res Zoom. Many of these new features are enabled by the latest Google Tensor G3 chipset, the latest addition to the Google Tensor family, which seems to be the most powerful of the bunch.

Today, we want to focus on Google’s Super Res Zoom feature. We’re going to be running over what it is, how it works and which devices it’s supported on, so you know exactly what to expect from the latest Pixel handset.

What is Google’s Super Res Zoom?

Super Res Zoom is not a new feature, launching with the Pixel 3 in 2018. The technology has only gotten better over the years and brings together a mix of hardware, software and machine learning smarts.

Google claims that Super Res Zoom uses the camera’s digital zoom to capture multiple photos at different zoom levels. This is then combined into a single image and aligned to create one perfect photograph. Google’s own machine learning algorithm then steps in to use Fusion Zoom to ensure the image is high-resolution and crisp to the eye.

Pixel 8 Pro PR shootImage Credit (Google)

The software also uses HDR+ with Bracketing to help merge images taken at different exposures. This should ensure the best lighting and detail, combining all the best parts of each picture taken rather than sacrificing one image for another. HDR+ with Bracketing also automatically turns itself on when you use any level of zoom, so you don’t need to prompt the software.

Overall, Google’s Super Res Zoom helps to make your photos crisper, more detailed and better lit when you’re using the zoom feature.

Which devices come with Google’s Super Res Zoom?

All Pixels since the Pixel 3 come with Super Res Zoom. This includes the latest Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, and we expect that the updated camera and new Google Tensor G3 chipset will provide an even better experience when using the feature.

Download the Google Pixel 8 wallpapers here

Robert Triggs / Android Authority

Google’s Pixel phones have always had great wallpapers. The first few generations amazed us with live wallpapers designed in collaboration with studios such as B-Reel and ustwo. Lately, Google has released some great minimalistic static wallpapers designed in collaboration with various artists. Now, thanks to a source inside Google, we’re able to share the brand-new Pixel 8 wallpapers.

These wallpapers were made to match the wide variety of colors available for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. These colors include Obsidian, Hazel, Rose, Porcelain, and Bay. For the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, Google has once again decided to task Andrew Zuckerman with creating its wallpapers; the theme is “Minerals.”

Download the Google Pixel 8 wallpapers

First things first, let’s tell you how things work around here. It’s important to keep in mind the image previews you see below have been compressed and optimized for improved website performance. It’s not a good idea to save them directly, as their quality will be degraded. You can click the download button below the previews to download the full-resolution files instead.

How to set the Pixel 8 wallpapers on other devices

Do you need help setting up your new Google Pixel 8 series wallpapers? Let’s help you figure it out. Again, it’s important to remember that the previews you see above are compressed. Click on the download button above to get the full-resolution images.

You can either download them straight to your phone, or use another device and then transfer the wallpapers to the phone you’ll set them on. I like to use Google Drive to transfer files between devices, but you can use a physical cable, send yourself an email, etc.

Once the images are stored on your device, follow the steps below to set them as wallpapers. Keep in mind that the instructions may be a bit different depending on your device and Android version.

How to set a wallpaper on Android:Launch the Settings app.Go into Wallpaper & style.Tap on Change wallpaper.Go into My photos and select the wallpaper.Customize your wallpaper and hit Set Wallpaper.Pick whether you want to set the wallpaper on the Home screen, Lock screen, or Home and lock screen. That’s it!How to set a wallpaper on iPhone:Launch the Settings app.Go into Wallpaper.Select Add New Wallpaper.Find and select the wallpaper you want to set.Customize your wallpaper to your liking and tap on Add.Select Set as Wallpaper Pair.

“Who the F*** Do You Think You Are!” – New York Man Colorfully Chews Out and Then Turns the Tables on Security Team After They Refuse to Let Him Film Footage of Facility Housing Illegal Aliens (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Credit: Insider Paper screenshot/Ely

New York, New York – A New York man refused to let a group of security officers and workers stop him from recording footage of a facility housing illegal aliens on Monday.

The man, who goes by Ely, recorded footage of his encounter, which was then posted on YouTube and later went viral on X (formerly Twitter).

What ensued was a tour de force laden with F words and other colorful language directed at the individuals attempting to violate his constitutional rights. Ely refuses to budge an inch even when they surround him.

Ely is able to turn the tables on the officers in the end and record in peace.

The video clip on X begins with Ely walking up to the facility before being stopped by a supposed security officer who tells him he cannot take footage of inside the facility or outside.

Ely then demands to know the man’s name who responds like a wise guy by asking who he is. This back and forth goes on for a few seconds before another security officer arrives.

This second officer says he cannot stand there while Ely continues to protest. The first officer then sarcastically replies “okay, you win, you win.”

Then the two surround Ely for some reason which confuses Ely. Was this an intimidation tactic?

Perhaps so because another person (perhaps a worker) surrounds the Youtuber as well and claims Ely is on his property which makes him scoff.

WATCH:

WATCH: A resident of New York expresses strong frustration towards a security team when informed he cannot record on the public sidewalk near a migrant facility in NYC. *Strong language*

pic.twitter.com/boTgvMW6zr

— Insider Paper (@TheInsiderPaper) October 4, 2023

The worker tells Ely to talk to officer which Ely objects to. A portly police officer then arrive on scene and informs Ely the man is trying to bait him. This causes Ely to erupt.

I’m about to knock him the f*** out! That’s what I’m about to do!

He then turns to the first security guard and let’s him have it: “Who the f*** do you think you are!” You don’t come to the sidewalk and talk to me like that n*****! You hear me?

Ely then faces all of his haters: “Make sure this is the last you approach a member of the public giving them orders. On the f****ing sidewalk, n*****! Stick to your job!

After the second officer smirks and tell Ely it’s “his job” to tell him to move, Ely fries him: You don’t tell me to f***ing move! Your job is inside, not outside!

Ely next turns to the cop and asking them to do as well. He asks for the cops name and badge number who obliges.

The video clip concludes with Ely telling the first officer not to “fuck with him” anymore otherwise he will “knock him the f*** out.” He stands his ground and tells the officers that he is not going anywhere.

The full version posted on YouTube shows Ely flipping the tables on the security officers by going straight to their coordinator. He reveals that after he spoke to their coordinator they were told to back off.

Ely says he hopes they no longer threaten anyone else’s right to film.

Ely adds that he did not know it was a migrant facility at first, either. No way anyone can credibly accuse him of having bias in this regard.

Here is the full 18 minute video (tune into the 13:07 mark for coordinator talk):
