The £949 price tag is already a steal in our view, compared to some of the phone’s key competitors, so £150 off the recommended cost is a smashing deal – especially with 512GB of storage as standard.

We loved the top-end performance, triple 50-megapixel camera setup and the all-day battery life. That battery is capacious at 5,100mAh. There’s a great curved design that feels awesome in the hand despite the 6.82-inch 120Hz display. There’s loads of power, courtesy of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset backed by a whopping 12GB of RAM.

Our reviewer gave the Honor Magic 5 Pro a 4.5-star score from a possible 5. He recommended this phone if you’re looking for a great all-rounder that ticks most of the boxes.

Late Night Shows No One Missed Set to Return to Air After Apparent End of Writer Strike | The Gateway Pundit

One of the upsides of the writer strike was that obnoxious, left wing late night hosts were off the air for months, not that anyone missed them.

Now that the strike is over, they are planning their return to the airwaves.

Will anyone notice?

NBC News reports:

Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel announce late-night returns after strike ends

Some of your favorite late-night television talk show hosts are returning to the air now that the Hollywood writers strike has come to an end.

NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” will return Monday. Also back on the same night will be CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

The announcements came on the shows’ respective social media accounts Wednesday morning.

Several of the late-night hosts teamed up for a podcast called “Strike Force Five” while their shows were off the air. It was a limited series featuring Fallon, Meyers, Colbert, Kimmel and John Oliver, and profits from the podcast went to their out-of-work show teams.

In a joint statement from “Strike Force Five” announcing the return to television, they said that “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” will return to HBO on Sunday.

If the strike showed anything, it’s that America does not need these shows anymore.

PlayStation boss Jim Ryan announces retirement

Jim Ryan, the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment and head of all things PlayStation, is set to retire in March.

“After 30 years, I have made the decision to retire from SIE in March 2024,” Ryan said in a company post detailing a “New Management Structure of Sony Interactive Entertainment”.

In a subsequent blog post, Ryan briefly expanded upon into his decision.

“I did not take this decision lightly and I absolutely love SIE and our community,” he explained, “but of late I’ve been finding it increasingly difficult to strike the right balance between having my home in the UK and my job in the United States”.

Jim Ryan has been with Sony’s gaming division since just before the release of the first PlayStation console, when he joined the company’s European branch. He’s been in his current role as CEO of SIE since 2019.

“From my beginning in Europe, it was clear that Sony had built something truly special,” said Ryan. “Generations later I am still amazed by the excitement and passion of the PlayStation community.”

Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida cites “overseeing the launch of PlayStation 5 in the midst of the global COVID pandemic” as Ryan’s defining achievement. Despite severe global supply constraints, it’s on course to become the company’s biggest console release ever, with more than 40 million PS5 units sold so far.

As of April 1, 2024, Sony Group Corporation COO and CFO Hiroki Totoki will be appointed Interim CEO of SIE. That’s a big name to fill a vital role for the company.

Here, you’ll encounter an array of coral formations, gorgonians, and larger marine species such as nurse sharks (seen by divers only) and stingrays.

The wall’s depth allows for diverse snorkeling experiences, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced snorkelers.

Cueva de Chico

There are hidden places waiting to be discovered by the most adventurous people. El Chicho is one of these places and the most important underground cave in the Dominican Republic.

Cueva de Chicho is an impressive underground spring and one of the most fascinating places in the Dominican Republic.

Located just a few minutes from Bayahibe, this cenote is not only unique in its scenery, but also in its secrets.

An ancient community was once displaced here and there are petroglyphs that document the importance of this site to the Taino people. This makes the experience at Cueva de Chicho unique in the country.

Inside the cave you can see different petroglyphs – engravings in the rock – left as a legacy by the ancient inhabitants. Analysis of these artworks leads us to believe that Cueva de Chicho was a sacred place for the Taino people – which gives the place an additional mystical aura.

Below the millions of years old stalactites and stalagmites there is a natural pool with crystal clear water. This makes this place geologically very interesting: these cenotes, located kilometers away from the coast, are extremely unusual and exciting at the same time!

Diving is very popular here! Thanks to the clear water it is possible to swim and snorkel in this beautiful place.

Unlike other cenotes, this one has a freshwater lake. This is created by the water that collects above the cave and then flows filtered into the cave.

For scuba enthusiasts, Cueva de Chicho is also a great place to explore. The exciting part is that the natural pool is connected to another underground body of water – so you’ll have to dive underwater to get there! We highly recommend this activity if you want to really get to know this magical place.

For those seeking adventure along with their snorkeling, Cueva de Chico is a must-visit spot.

This underwater cave system is located near Bayahibe and offers an unforgettable snorkeling adventure. As you explore the cave’s dark chambers, you’ll be amazed by the intricate limestone formations and the play of light filtering through the water. While snorkeling here, you may come across cave-dwelling marine creatures and discover hidden wonders beneath the surface.

If you decide to visit the cave, please note you will need to pay 200 pesos (more or less 4 dollars) per person for the park entrance and you will also need a flashlight.

Cueva de Chicho should be considered a sacred site and should always be visited respectfully to ensure its preservation.

For the 45 minute hike to Cueva de Chicho, the first thing to bring is sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or cap to protect yourself from the intense sun. It is also advisable to bring water for the hike.

Since this is a jungle area, we also recommend that you bring an effective mosquito repellent to keep those pesky insects away.

Chicho’s Cave is located northwest of Cotubanamá National Park, very close to Bayahibe. To get there from Punta Cana or anywhere else on the island, we recommend that you use private transportation.

Once in Bayahibe, you can follow the well-marked trail to Chicho Cave on your own. It is also possible to hire a guide who will give you interesting information about the history and nature of this place – this is highly recommended.

While Punta Cana may be your gateway to the Dominican Republic, for an unforgettable snorkeling adventure, it’s worth heading to the Caribbean side of the island.

Bayahibe, with its pristine beaches and vibrant underwater ecosystems, offers some of the best snorkeling opportunities in the region. From the enchanting Playa Magallanes to the mysterious Cueva de Chico and the underwater wonders of Catalina Island, these snorkeling spots promise a world of marine exploration that you won’t want to miss.

How crazy have things become in San Francisco? So crazy that the Democrat Mayor London Breed now wants homeless people to submit to drug testing before they can receive government services.

This is a huge shift from the way things were just two years ago.

There is a good chance that Mayor Breed knows what is going to happen to the city if things don’t change and fast.

Democrat San Francisco mayor announces plan to require drug testing, treatment to receive homeless services

Democratic San Francisco Mayor London Breed on Tuesday unveiled a plan to require anyone receiving welfare to comply with mandatory drug testing and treatment programs amid growing pressure to get ahold of the city’s homeless and fentanyl crises — the same day a new primary challenger in next year’s election entered the race.

Announcing the proposal with Supervisor Matt Dorsey, a recovering addict and former spokesperson for the police department, Breed said the new initiative would require individuals with substance use disorders who want to access county-funded cash assistance to be enrolled in treatment and services.

“San Francisco is a city of compassion, but also a city that demands accountability,” Breed said in a statement. “We fund a wide range of services, and we want to help people get the care they need but under current state law, local government lack tools to compel people into treatment. This initiative aims to create more accountability and help get people to accept the treatment and services they need.”

Republican Senator Katie Britt of Alabama recently called out the media and told them to start covering the real nightmare that’s happening at the southern border.

Britt was flanked by Ted Cruz and other GOP senators and her speech was smart and passionate.

She pointed out examples of people who are being trafficked or extorted by the Mexican cartels, even though they are now in the United States. This was a great moment.

Sen. Katie Britt delivered an emotional plea from the southern border on Wednesday, urging reporters to tell the horror stories like the ones the Alabama senator has witnesses over several visits.

“Drug cartels, guys, they have their tentacles all over this country,” Alabama’s junior senator said from Eagle Pass, Texas pm Wednesday. “We need you to start telling that story.”

Those tentacles extend to Alabama, according to Britt, where the senator said she talked recently with a constituent in rural Montgomery County who told her undocumented immigrants owe the cartels money for getting them across the border.

“Just the other day in Alabama a gentleman told me, ‘If you will come back here with me in this neighborhood right behind you, you will see migrants who are here illegally, and they will tell you about the drug cartels coming around every other week to collect,’” Britt recounted.

“Guys, that’s not the American Dream,” the senator said. “That’s an American nightmare.”

Rachel Maddow Calls Out GOP Debate Cowards For Not Mentioning Trump’s Felony Charges

Rachel Maddow pointed out that the Republican presidential candidates talked about law and order during the debate, but they never mentioned Trump’s 91 felony charges.

Maddow said on MSNBC:

So, what does all this mean? Why are we here when the candidates tonight talked over and over and over again about law and order or crime, law and order, the rule of law, law and order. They were awkwardly not talking about the far and away leading Republican candidate, former president Donald Trump, who is facing 91 felony counts in four separate criminal cases.

He’s also now facing the possible dissolution of his business empire thanks to a devastating new ruling in the New York Attorney General’s multi-billion dollar fraud suit against him. Donald Trump is nevertheless leading the entire field of other Republican candidates by roughly 40 points nationally and by more than 30 points in each of the early voting states tonight.

Maddow was correct. How can any Republican dare to talk about law and order when the leader in the presidential primary is facing 91 felony counts?

The Republican debate featured a surreal detachment from reality and the party’s current predicament. All of the people on the debate stage claim that they want to be president, but they don’t do anything to make most voters think that they credibly could be president.

Donald Trump was wise to skip this debate and do his own event with UAW members in Michigan.

Trump went after Biden for corruption.
