Shelling in the centre of the Russian border city Belgorod has killed 18 people, including two children, and injured 111, emergency services and Russian officials say.
Russian officials accused Ukraine of carrying out the attack, which included the use of cluster bombs, the day after an 18-hour aerial Russian barrage across Ukraine that killed at least 39 civilians.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told state media Russia had requested a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the incident.
“Today, the Kyiv regime attempted an indiscriminate combined strike on the city of Belgorod with two ‘Olkha’ missiles in a banned cluster configuration, as well as Czech-made Vampire rockets,” the Defence Ministry said in a Telegram posting, adding that most rockets had been shot down.
Belgorod is north of the Ukrainian border.
Russia responded to the attack at the United Nations.

Houston, Texas – One of the cruelest crimes imaginable occurred last week in Houston that further proves America is losing its soul.
As KTRK reported, two violent thugs are in custody at the Harris County Jail after camera footage caught them brutally assaulting an innocent 67-year-old man named Florentino Hurtado, who has Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Police on Thursday identified the suspects as Trayvion Lockridge and Derodric Stephens. They have been charged with aggravated robbery over 65.

KTRK revealed that the incident occurred in the parking lot on December 23 near Tidwell in the 5900 block of North Shepherd. Hurtado and his wife had gone to the meat market to pick up ingredients to make tamales.
He stayed in the car initially, and she went into the store according to their daughter Jessica.
Video footage obtained by KTTK shows Hurtado wandering outside the vehicle and pulling on the handle of the wrong car. Lockridge and Stephens then enter the frame and begin their assault on the disoriented man.
The savages rain several blows on Hurtado’s head, and he eventually falls to the pavement. They then proceed to stomp on his head.

The suspects then flee the scene while Hurtado gets up and staggers around the parking lot. Police revealed the two men left in the car in question and stole Hurtado’s cellphone after assaulting him.
KTRK reported Florentino, who weighs less than 100 pounds, suffered multiple injuries including a broken cheekbone, numerous cuts that required stitches, a possible traumatic brain injury, and a black eye.
His heartbroken daughter Jessica relived the evil beating rendered on her father in an interview with KTRK Thursday.
“My dad, you can see him stumble up and get up, and you could tell he was obviously confused and dazed as well, and he started wandering towards the pawnshop,” Jessica said.
She correctly pointed out that the incident could have been quickly diffused with common-sense restraint.
A simple push, a simple “go away.” My dad would have walked away.
The Daily Mail reported the state of Texas asked Lockridge’s bond be set at $1million, but the defense countered with an asinine request for $3,000. The amount was eventually set at $50,000.
Jessica slammed the paltry amount for such a vicious crime in the interview with KTRK.
It’s just sad. It’s really sad; my father did not deserve this at all. We just want justice for my dad. That’s all we want.
Stephens’s bond has not been set at this point. KTRK reports he has five pending cases in addition to his new charge.

Trend: Year-End Poll Shows Trump Gaining, Biden Losing Support of Black Voters | The Gateway Pundit
A poll released Friday by Morning Consult shows Joe Biden losing support among Black voters while President Trump is gaining support. Over the past year Biden is down nine points, from 70 to 61 percent while Trump is up seven points, 15 to 22 percent:
“Trump now leads Biden, fueled by gains among key voter segments including Black, Hispanic and young Americans: The former president took his first monthly lead of the 2024 election cycle over President Joe Biden in November. He now leads Biden among 18- to 34-year-olds, and Biden continues to lose support among Black and Hispanic voters. Trump also maintains a narrow edge among independents.”

A GenForward survey reported by Politico earlier this month had Biden at 63 percent support among Black voters with Trump at 17 percent (excerpt):
One of the best-respected polls of voters of color shows President Joe Biden is facing strong headwinds among his most loyal base of support: Black Americans.
In the GenForward survey released on Tuesday and shared first with POLITICO, nearly 1 in 5 Black Americans, 17 percent, said they would vote for former President Donald Trump. And 20 percent of Black respondents said they would vote for “someone else” other than Biden or Trump.
According to the survey, about three-quarters of Black respondents said they would vote if the presidential election were held today, a figure that trails the number of white voters who said they would vote today by 10 points.
…Black adults backed Biden more than any other racial group in the survey, but the president notched just 63 percent among this bloc.
It also represents a significant jump for Trump among Black voters overall. During the 2020 presidential election, AP VoteCast found Trump won 8 percent of Black voters, versus 91 percent voting for Biden.
…Concerns over inflation by far outpaced all other issues for respondents across all racial groups with gun control and immigration lagging far behind. Overall, the president’s approval rating in this survey was sitting at a paltry 38 percent. For Black respondents, half approve of Biden’s job performance, while 34 percent of Latinos, 37 percent of AAPI and 36 percent of white respondents viewed Biden positively.
An October New York Times/Siena College poll had Biden with 71 percent support among swing state Black voters and Trump with 22 percent support BET excerpt):
A New York Times and Siena College poll released Sunday (Nov. 5) suggests that Black voters in crucial swing states are drifting toward former President Donald Trump, sending an early warning sign to Democrats that they could lose the White House next year.
According to the poll, 22 percent of Black voters would back Trump, who won 8 percent of the Black vote in 2020, The New York Times reports. Biden would get 71 percent of the Black vote.
The poll survey registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
It would be a historic shift if the figures hold. Since the civil rights era, no Democrat running for president has won less than 80 percent of the Black vote, and no Republican running for the White House has received more than 12 percent in nearly 50 years.

I’ve got to find the next Apple computer, the next crazy crypto token, whatever, some wildly successful investment, right? Which leads you to engage in wild speculation, short term trading, trying to time the market. And the truth is the opposite. You don’t need to start with a lot of money to end up with a lot of money by doing the exact opposite, which is holding for the long term in all the highest quality stocks, and in relying on long term compounding and reinvesting dividends, and making small contributions along the way, but forgetting, like you said, the noise. And people are worried about their equities. This is the problem, because as soon as you start buying into that, like, you know what, I think the market might be going down, or maybe it’s going to go up next year.
Jordan Belfort trashed Pelosi and Joe Biden and pointed out the two-tiered justice system that favors Democrats.
“But you know, look at Joe Biden, right? Mean, look what’s going on, right?” Jordan Belfort said.
“I think he’s a good stock picker,” Tucker said.
JORDAN BELFORT: Joe Biden? No, I think he’s great at laundering money, though, honestly. Apparently, from what I’ve seen right now, I don’t get it. Just imagine if it was Trump who was president every single day in the front page of the New York Times, the Washington Post and every other publication would be like, $40,000 check for $20,000 check from his brother. It’d be game over cries for impeachment. It’d be like the world falling down. He’s in China’s pocket. But it’s like we’re living in an alternative universe right now where people in power, especially on the left, right, can operate almost with impunity. And Pelosi is a perfect example. She’s not the only one. But it’s inconceivable that someone could have that higher return in the market when everyone else can’t do it. So what’s the edge? The edge is she knows key legislation and also maybe someone’s whispering in her ear. Okay. Because they want to be on her good side. Right? So it’s hard to prove, but it’s just prima facie.

Armenian priests in Jerusalem
Armenian Christians in Jerusalem were violently attacked by more than 30 masked Arab Muslims in Jerusalem on Thursday.
“Armenian clerics in Jerusalem are fighting for their lives,” the Armenian Patriarchate told the Jerusalem Post.
Several of the Armenian priests were “seriously injured.”
According to the Jerusalem Post, the ambush attack was in response to a lawsuit to cancel an agreement related to a land lease of the Armenian Quarter.
“The Armenian Patriarchate filed a lawsuit to cancel an agreement it made over two years ago to lease a fourth of the Armenian Quarter to Australian Jewish developer Danny Rothman (Rubinstein) and his Christian Arab partner George Warwar (Hadad) for 98 years. Once local and international Armenians understood what had happened, they began protesting, including holding a weekly vigil, to pressure the Patriarchate to cancel the deal.” the Jerusalem Post reported.
The Armenian Patriarchate told The Post that the developers used violence to intimidate the clerics.
“Instead of going through a legal process, they brought criminals and attacked our community,” Bishop Koryoun Baghdasaryan told the Jerusalem Post.

Over 30 armed provocateurs wearing ski masks and some carrying lethal weapons attacked a group of Armenian bishops, priests, deacons, and other citizens on Thursday in the Old City of Jerusalem, according to the Armenian Patriarchate.
“A mass and coordinated physical attack was launched,” the Patriarchate wrote in an official letter to the Police and Israeli government, which The Jerusalem Post reviewed. “Several priests, students, and indigenous Armenians are seriously injured.”
“They attacked us,” Bishop Koryoun Baghdasaryan, director of the Real Estate Department for the Patriarchate, told the Post.
Armenian Patriarchate Chancellor Aghan Gogchyan said the attackers used pepper spray and other chemicals, which they targeted at seminary students, several of whom were taken to the hospital.
The Police confirmed that it received the letter and said that arrests were made on both sides – both Armenians and Muslims who allegedly carried out the attack. No one has been officially charged, the Police said.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is getting absolutely roasted on Twitter after declaring his pride in ‘global peace and security’ under Biden.
We had peace and security under Trump but on Biden’s watch, the world is flying apart at the seams at record speed.
There’s a war in Ukraine, a war in Israel and there are threats of other conflicts on the horizon.

Prominent conservatives on social media trashed U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken for touting his department’s work to “strengthen global peace.”
On Thursday, Blinken shared a link to a State Department year-end media presentation, titled “Portraits of Diplomacy: 2023, A Photographic Journey with Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken,” which depicted key moments in the government official’s work throughout the year.
Blinken posted, “As I reflect on the miles traveled, countries visited, and intense diplomacy over the past year, I am proud of our work to build stronger partnerships and strengthen global peace and security.”
The introduction to the “photographic journey” page, composed entirely of pictures of Blinken, said, “Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken calls America’s partnerships its greatest strategic asset. In 2023, he traveled more than 380,000 kilometers and visited over two dozen countries to meet with our nation’s partners. He pledged solidarity with allies and offered assistance after disasters.”

New York and Chicago are not the only cities in America that are overflowing with illegal border crossers. In Detroit, there are so many people arriving that the city’s shelters are full.
Activists in the city are now calling on residents to take illegals into their homes.
Political leaders have tried this in other places, like Massachusetts. It doesn’t work. It’s awful for the government to ask this of people. The tax paying residents didn’t cause the problem, Washington did.

Joe Biden’s border crisis has sent so many illegal border crossers to Detroit that activists are calling on members of their community to step up to house them in their private homes.
The African Bureau for Immigration and Social Affairs — an NGO that settles and cares for African migrants trying settle in the U.S. — is heading up the effort to find places for illegals to shelter in the Motor City. The group’s founder, Senegalese native Seydi Starr, told the Detroit News that Detroit has been working since last year to implement a support network for illegals. And this year the crisis is worse than ever.
“We’ve been calling on administrators. … We have seen the lack of supportive services for that specific community primarily working with Black immigrants,” Starr said, according to the paper. “… We have been working to secure the understanding that these people are here, and something needs to be done about it.”…
“Community members have been picking people off the street and taking them into their own homes. Whether it is a Senegalese community, Mauritania folks, Haitian, whoever,” Starr said, “Some people have 12, 18, 20 people in their homes.
This is a potential disaster. Detroit tends to get pretty cold in winter.

Professor and Legal Analyst Jonathan Turley Gets Swatted at His DC Area Home | The Gateway Pundit
George Washington University professor Jonathan Turley was swatted this week following similar incidents at the homes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and others.
The practice of swatting is extremely dangerous and can easily end with someone being accidentally killed by police, which is precisely why the perpetrators do it.
It’s not clear why professor Turley was swatted. Perhaps someone doesn’t like his legal takes on the Trump indictments. Turley has been very critical of the left.

There is a full-scale war of intimidation being waged by the far-left, and it has targeted yet another prominent figure on the right.
Legal analyst Jonathan Turley was swatted on Friday, according to Alan Henney, who reports on various crimes and police responses around Washington, D.C.
That follows the swatting of three Republican lawmakers since Christmas. Specifically, Sen. Rick Scott, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Rep. Brandon Williams all reported incidents. Jonathan Turley then spoke out against the trend, noting that a lack of prosecutions is leading to an increased number of swatting calls because there is no deterrent.
“Swatting constitutes a false police report that can be criminally charged,” Turley said. “Virginia recently passed a new law making swatting specifically a criminal misdemeanor. It can also be charged as a form of criminal threats.”
“This is a crime that flourishes because there is insufficient deterrent,” Turley continued. “The anonymity and rare prosecutions combine to fuel this form of criminal harassment.”
“There is no mystery to how to address these crimes. There must be greater detection and penalties to achieve deterrence,” he added.

Republican Senators Introducing Legislation That Would Punish States for Taking Trump Off the Ballot | The Gateway Pundit
Republicans in the U.S. Senate are responding to the efforts by the left to remove Trump from state ballots.
Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina is introducing a bill that would restrict federal funds for states that do this. It’s a good plan and every member of the GOP should get behind it.
Even Senator Susan Collins of Maine, who is not known for being particularly conservative, has spoken out against what is happening in her state.

GOP Senators Introduce Bill That Would Punish States Who Disqualify Trump From 2024 Ballot
Republican senators are planning revenge against states that attempt to disqualify former President Trump from the 2024 ballot.
After Maine became the second state to boot Trump off the state’s ballot, a group of lawmakers have introduced legislation that would punish states who opt to take similar action.
“New law… If any state in our Union blocks the official nominee of a major political party from the Presidential ballot, their electoral slate will not be counted by Congress on the following January 6th,” Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) wrote in an X. “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”
Maine Senator Susan Collins also echoed Higgins’s efforts to hold states accountable if they violate constitutional rights…
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) announced he has drafted legislation that would restrict federal funds for states that remove candidates from the ballot under the 14th Amendment. Tillis said he plans to introduce the bill as soon as Congress returns from recess.

Xfinity internet users may want a refund and a new service provider after reports of an October security breach involving customer data were recently made public.
This includes “names, contact information, last four digits of social security numbers, dates of birth and/or secret questions and answers” of some customers, according to Xfinity. Users are urged to monitor their credit reports and potential fraud or identity theft using the three major credit agencies, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
Some customers received an email about the “data security incident” at around 5 am on December 29.
A security breach at Comcast-owned Xfinity has exposed the personal data of nearly all the internet provider’s customers, including account usernames, passwords and answers to their security questions.
Comcast said in a filing with Maine’s attorney general’s office that the hack affected 35.8 million people, with the media and technology giant notifying customers of the attack through its website and by email, the company said Monday. The intrusion stems from a vulnerability in software from cloud computing company Citrix, according to Comcast.
Although Citrix patched the vulnerability in October, Xfinity learned that unauthorized users gained access to its internal systems between Oct. 16 and Oct. 19, revealing customer data. For some people, that included their names, contact information, account usernames and passwords, birthdates, parts of their Social Security numbers and answers to their security questions.
In addition to Xfinity, Citrix provides software to thousands of companies around the world. The previously-announced vulnerability, dubbed “Citrix Bleed,” has also been linked to hacks targeting the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China’sNew York arm and a Boeing subsidiary, among others.
It is unclear what ramifications this incident may have on users of the internet service provider and American national security.

What Happened? On October 10, 2023, one of Xfinity’s software providers, Citrix, announced a vulnerability in one of its products used by Xfinity and thousands of other companies worldwide. At the time Citrix made this announcement, it released a patch to fix the vulnerability. Citrix issued additional mitigation guidance on October 23, 2023. We promptly patched and mitigated our systems.
However, we subsequently discovered that prior to mitigation, between October 16 and October 19, 2023, there was unauthorized access to some of our internal systems that we concluded was a result of this vulnerability. We notified federal law enforcement and conducted an investigation into the nature and scope of the incident. On November 16, 2023, it was determined that information was likely acquired.
What Information Was Involved? On December 6, 2023, we concluded that the information included usernames and hashed passwords; for some customers, other information was also included, such as names, contact information, last four digits of social security numbers, dates of birth and/or secret questions and answers. However, our data analysis is continuing, and we will provide additional notices as appropriate.
What We Are Doing. To protect your account, we have proactively asked you to reset your password. The next time you login to your Xfinity account, you will be prompted to change your password, if you haven’t been asked to do so already.
What You Can Do. We strongly encourage you to enroll in two-factor or multi-factor authentication. While we advise customers not to re-use passwords across multiple accounts, if you do use the same information elsewhere, we recommend that you change the information on those other accounts, as well. You can review the “Additional Information” section below for information on how you can further protect your personal information.
