In a shocking development caught on camera, the leader of South Korea’s main opposition Party was stabbed in the neck during a news conference in the southern port city of Busan.
The high profile politician, who has been called the Korean Trump, but ‘respects Bernie Sanders’, was taken to the hospital.
BBC reported:
“Lee Jae-myung, who narrowly lost the presidential elections in 2022, was stabbed on the left side of his neck on Tuesday morning. The male attacker was arrested at the scene.
Lee was transferred to a hospital about 20 minutes after the attack. He was conscious at the time, Yonhap said.
Mr Lee is not currently a member of South Korea’s legislature but is widely expected to run for a seat in the next general election, which will take place in April 2024.
He lost the 2022 presidential elections with a 0.73% difference in votes to current President Yoon Suk-yeol, making it the closest presidential race in South Korean history.”

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s Resignation From House Effective Today, Leaves Republicans With Razor Thin Majority | The Gateway Pundit
The resignation from the House by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) took effect Sunday, leaving Republicans with a razor-thin majority of 220-213 over the Democrats following the expulsion of George Santos (R-NY) earlier in December.
McCarthy gave a farewell speech on the House floor on December 14.

McCarthy, 58, served as Speaker of the House for nine months, having been voted out on October 3rd on passage of a motion to vacate filed by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) that passed 216-210 with eight Republicans joining all Democrats.
CBS News reported on Gaetz’s comments about the vote (excerpt):
“The reason Kevin McCarthy went down today is because nobody trusts Kevin McCarthy,” Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida told reporters after the vote. “Kevin McCarthy has made multiple contradictory promises, and when they all came due, he lost votes of people who maybe don’t even ideologically agree with me on everything.”
“This represents the ripping off of the Band-Aid and that’s what we need to do to get back on track,” the Florida Republican added.
Along with Gaetz, seven Republican members voted to oust McCarthy: Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona, Ken Buck of Colorado, Tim Burchett of Tennessee, Eli Crane of Arizona, Bob Good of Virginia, Nancy Mace of South Carolina and Matt Rosendale of Montana.
A day earlier, Gaetz accused McCarthy of making a “secret side deal” with President Biden on Ukraine aid to get a short-term funding bill passed hours before the government was set to shutdown. The California Republican denied having made any deal in exchange for Democratic votes.
The beginning of the end for McCarthy started in the spring when he threw away a winning hand on budget deficit negotiations with Joe Biden and the Democrats for next to nothing in return, giving Biden unlimited borrowing power for the final two years of his term in office.
A majority of the American people supported the Republican position to reduce spending instead of the Democrats’ position of an unlimited debt ceiling. Yet, McCarthy gave the Democrats unlimited deficit spending.

McCarthy’s end came after he jammed conservatives in the House with a last-minute 45-day budget deal passed with Democrat support to keep the government open at the end of September.
McCarthy was first elected to the House in 2007. As Speaker, he reopened the Capitol to the public after former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had closed it due to the pandemic. McCarthy also did away with proxy voting and the metal detectors at the doors to the House floor instituted by Pelosi.
McCarthy announced his resignation on December 6 in a Wall Street Journal op-ed (excerpt):
I’m an optimist. How could I not be? I’m the son of a firefighter. For 17 years I’ve served in the same congressional seat—the same office in which I was once denied an internship. Only in America.
I helped lead Republicans to a House majority—twice. We got more Republican women, veterans and minorities elected to Congress at one time than ever before. I remained cheerfully persistent when elected speaker because I knew what we could accomplish.
Even with slim margins in the House, we passed legislation to secure the border, achieve energy independence, reduce crime, hold government accountable and establish a Parents’ Bill of Rights. We did exactly what we said we would do.
We kept our eyes on America’s long-term global challenges by restoring the Intelligence Committee to its original charter and establishing a bipartisan Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party.
…It is in this spirit that I have decided to depart the House at the end of this year to serve America in new ways. I know my work is only getting started.
I will continue to recruit our country’s best and brightest to run for elected office. The Republican Party is expanding every day, and I am committed to lending my experience to support the next generation of leaders.

“That’s My Daughter! She Means Everything to Me!” – Illinois Father Tracks Down and Shoots Coward Who Brutally Assaulted His Child | The Gateway Pundit

Wood River, Illinois- An Illinois father took matters into his own hands last week after learning his daughter had suffered an assault at the hands of a violent perpetrator.
The angry father shot the man in the street.
The incident involving the father and alleged perp occurred off North 6th Street, right by Lewis and Clark Junior High School in Wood River, Illinois according to police.
Patch Illinois revealed that police officers in Wood River received a report around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday of a domestic battery at a home on Mildred Street. As KTVI reported, a severely beaten woman went to her parent’s house and revealed to them and police the person responsible for assaulting her.
Police responded by going to her parents’ address, only to find the female had gone to meet officers at the Mildred Street home. The woman’s father had also left his house.
The female’s father had gone out and managed to track down the individual who hurt her. He then shot the lowlife in the middle of the street on North 6th.
Here is KTVI’s video report on the incident:
KTVI exclusively spoke with neighbors who witnessed the shooting. One neighbor revealed that after he heard a gunshot, he stepped outside and saw the woman’s father standing over a younger male, pointing a gun at him.
He heard the younger man beg the father not to shoot him. The older man, in response, screamed, “That’s my daughter! She means everything to me!”
According to the neighbor, the father then shot the thug and waited for police to arrive. The neighbor said he heard the younger man screaming in severe pain while the father did not appear seriously injured.
Police confirmed both men suffered gunshot wounds. One was taken to the hospital by ambulance, the other via helicopter.
Most residents KTVI spoke to did not blame the father for defending his daughter. However, local resident Dawn Howard thought the situation could have been handled differently.
“It’s hard to blame a parent. There’s five girls in our family, and I can see all of our dads going after a guy,” Howard said. “But with a gun? No…beat him up; don’t shoot him.”
Police, at this point, have not released the names of the men involved and refuse to say if either has been charged. The Wood River Police Department plans to turn the case over to the Madison County State’s Attorney once they finish their investigation according to KTVI.

Illegal Aliens Caught Using Fake Passports to Pose as Minors to Pass Through Biden’s Open Border – Guinea’s Government May Be Contributing | The Gateway Pundit
Border Patrol agents in the Tucson sector are seeing an increase in illegal aliens from the African state of Guinea using falsified passports to alter their age. Many of them are claiming to be minors to increase their chances of crossing the border.
The border patrol is now examining the passports with more scrutiny to see if they are fake or altered in some way.
With the Biden regime’s open invitation to come into the U.S., it would hardly seem to make a difference anyway.
Border Agents in the Tucson, Arizona sector are seeing an influx of immigrants from Guinea using fake passports to claim they are minors when entering the United States illegally, according to an internal alert obtained by Fox News.
The illegal immigrants are changing their ages and pretending to be unaccompanied minors so they’ll have a better chance of getting into the U.S.
The Border Patrol notice advises agents on what to look out for, and provides examples of real and fake Guinean passports. It warns that passports issued in the municipality of Conakry, Guinea’s capital, after June 2023 are “most likely fraudulent or altered.”
The Border Patrol agents were also informed that the government of Guinea may be playing a role in the falsification of the passports.
“Another migrant, according to Border Patrol, noted that an ‘illicit group’ stole many blank passport books from the ministry in Conakry and “has been selling and issuing the passports without the proper procedures.” Fox News reported.
The southern border has had massive numbers of illegals crossing into the U.S. from African countries such as Guinea and Congo. TGP reported earlier this month of many crossing into the U.S. to their destination cities.
Biden’s border crisis is getting worse by the day. Mass numbers of illegals are pouring into the United States daily.
“Massive numbers of adult men from around the world mixed in with families from Mexico and Ecuador. This is daily here,” Fox News reporter Bill Melugin said.
Some of these illegals are from Guinea in western Africa.

A pro-Hamas rally held at Columbus Circle in New York City Sunday featured a chant in support of Yemen-based Houthi terrorists who are waging war on Red Sea shipping in support of Hamas. Video of the rally shows a woman dressed in terrorist garb leading a crowd of several hundred also dressed in terrorist garb and waving Palestinian flags in a chant of, “Yemen, Yemen, makes us proud! Turn another ship around!”
The Houthis have been launching missiles at merchant ships, boarding ships and attacking U.S. forces. This weekend saw the Houthis attack U.S. Navy ships and helicopters with missiles from land and arms from small boats, respectively, in separate incidents as the U.S. intervened to protect merchant a ship under repeated attack by the Houthis. The missiles were shot down and three of the four attacking boats were sunk by the U.S., killing a reported ten Houthi terrorists.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson expressed deep concerns over what he perceives as escalating threats to former President Donald Trump, suggesting that the progression of opposition could ultimately lead to an assassination attempt.
In an intense discussion with former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino, Tucker Carlson considered the series of actions taken against Donald Trump since his time in office — from protests and impeachment to recent indictments — and posited that the next step in an escalating sequence could be an assassination attempt.
“I mean, just chart it out. In the case of Trump, they started with protests. They moved to impeachment. Now they’re at indictment. None of it has worked. What’s next? What could possibly be next? If you felt and you really believed, and a lot of them do, that the worst thing that could happen to the country and more specifically to you in the professional class is to have Donald Trump as President. And everything you have tried has failed. And they have been accelerating steps, protests, impeachment, indictment,” said Carlson.
“How many more arrows do you have in your quiver? And what’s the next one? And of course, it’s assassination. And assassination happens around the world,” he added.
Carlson acknowledged bringing up the subject directly with Trump, noting that the former president did not engage on the topic. However, he stressed that the reality, as he sees it, necessitates facing the possibility of such an extreme scenario head-on.
“I said it directly to Trump, by the way, because it’s so obvious… And he did not engage with me at all on that subject. And I don’t know what he actually thinks of it, but he’s smart, and so he must know that that’s true,” said Carlson.
