Mysterious Boom Shakes Houses in Central Texas, Authorities Have No Answers | The Gateway Pundit
A mysterious loud boom was heard in several parts of Central Texas on Saturday.
KXAN reported residents in east Georgetown heard a loud blast on Saturday that shook their homes.
Georgetown Police Chief Cory Tchida stated that GPD received several calls regarding the boom but could not determine the loud blast’s origin.
On Tuesday, Round Rock and Hutto residents also reported hearing a loud boom that vibrated their floors and windows.
The city of Round Rock confirmed a loud boom was heard throughout the city and is investigating what caused this mysterious loud blast.

After a mysterious “boom” shook parts of Central Texas on Tuesday morning, another “boom” has rattled areas around Georgetown.
Several KXAN viewers heard the blast in east Georgetown around 11:40 p.m. Saturday. One viewer who lives in the Saddle Creek neighborhood said the sound vibrated the floors and windows in their home.
Mysterious ‘boom’ shakes homes in parts of Central Texas, KXAN viewers say Georgetown Police Chief Cory Tchida said he heard the boom Saturday night, too. Around the same time, he said the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a water main explosion—which could be connected to the “boom” heard.
Tchida said GPD received multiple calls about the “boom,” but the cause of the booms remains unclear.

Armed Off-Duty Cop Thwarts Carjackers in DC – Sends Them Running Scared | The Gateway Pundit
Violent carjackings and crime have skyrocketed in Washington DC thanks to Democrats.
Carjackings DC are up 111% in the first ten months of 2023.
An off-duty police officer from Maryland was carjacked in DC while helping family members into their vehicle on Thursday in Oxon Hill across the street from a large shopping mall.
As the carjackers were trying to force the family out of the vehicle, the officer fired his weapon at the suspects and sent them running scared.
An armed, off-duty Maryland police officer sent two suspected carjackers fleeing when he fired his weapon as they forced his family out of a vehicle near a large shopping mall outside of Washington, D.C., police say.
“Continue to remain diligent. Be aware of your surroundings,” Prince George Assistant Chief Vernon Hale III said during a press conference last week. “As you can see, if this can happen to an off-duty officer, it can certainly happen to a family. So, we want to make sure that everybody remains diligent, take care of one another, and keep your eyes open.”
Hale said an unidentified off-duty police officer with the department was assisting two of his family members as they got into their personal vehicle at about 5 p.m. Thursday in Oxon Hill when they were approached by at least two suspects, Fox 5 DC reported. The family was in a parking lot that serves office buildings, including dental and medical offices, and is located across the street from the Tanger Outlets National Harbor shopping center.
One of the suspects was arrested and identified as Anthony Stewart, 19, who is a resident of DC. The second suspect has not been identified at this time.

The family was left unharmed, and police say that it appears the carjackers were not hit with any shots.
Stewart was charged with carjacking, theft, robbery and potentially other charges.

Jessamyn Stanley On Why She Practices Naked Yoga at Home
Body-inclusive yoga instructor didn’t set out to become a naked yogi when she started practicing yoga over 10 years ago. But today, doing downward dogs, wheels, and all variety of twisting, stretching, or strengthening yoga poses fully or partially nude is an integral part of her practice and her career as an instructor.
“It’s not just about being naked,” Stanley says. “It’s about really peeling off the layers that make it hard for me to experience my most true self.”
For those uninitiated, Stanley has been at the vanguard of body inclusivity in yoga since the mid-2010s. As a larger-bodied Black woman, posting her yoga content on Instagram helped popularize the notion that anyone can do and teach yoga—not just thin white women, as had been the norm in the West for the prior 15 years. That ethos is still the bedrock of her practice, with a twist: nudity.

Jessamyn Stanley, yoga teacher, body positivity advocate, and writer based in Durham, North CarolinaMost mornings after journaling, Stanley starts the day doing naked yoga at home in her personal studio. She also has an OnlyFans channel where she broadcasts naked classes to subscribers. But it wasn’t always this way. When Stanley began practicing yoga, she says wearing compression garments that made her feel “sucked in” and “sleek” was important. But she eventually found clothes to be an impediment.
“What I noticed over time is that clothes actually just made me feel really uncomfortable and that I couldn’t get in touch with my body,” Stanley says. Soon, a full yoga outfit turned into a loose shirt and shorts turned into underwear and an old bra turned into… nothing.

“It’s more like I start wearing clothes and then I just get annoyed with the clothes and I gradually shed them,” Stanley says. “I don’t identify as a nudist. I don’t just want to be naked all the time. It’s very much like this particular article of clothing is driving me crazy, and therefore I have to take it off.”
However, practicality has given way to something deeper.
“There’s a piece for me of self-acceptance that’s been really crucial through practicing yoga naked—actually looking at myself and noticing the way that I’m put together,” Stanley says. “Then that self-acceptance leads to a deeper practice of the postures.”
For example, Stanley says not wearing compression yoga pants lets her manually adjust the position of her belly and fat rolls so that she can bend or twist deeper and ultimately enjoy the pose more.
“In the naked yoga classes, I’ll say things like, pick up your butt cheek, move it to the side, or pick up your skin fold, or whatever the thing is,” Stanley says. “Being able to make those adjustments and literally physically go deeper into the postures, I feel that it leads to deeper spiritual awakening.”
How to dip your toe—or fully jump—into doing naked yoga at homeStanley’s advice is to notice the items of clothing that may be causing discomfort and to experiment with taking them off in your home practice. You can go one item at a time if you want to ease into a naked practice, or (in a warm room) try getting naked with yourself and seeing how you feel.
This may lead to some initial discomfort that has to do with working up a sweat without the convenience of sweat-absorbing clothing. You could find yourself noticing some smells or more sweat than usual. It can be helpful to have a towel or blanket for padding handy, use a non-stick mat, and remember that it’s just you and your body: No one is there to judge.
“There’s so much shame around the naked body, and being in a space where people don’t have to feel ashamed of themselves is a really beautiful thing,” Stanley says of her experience doing naked yoga, especially in the OnlyFans community. “To say that you own your body, you don’t have to apologize for your body, you don’t have to be ashamed of your body, and you can really get to know it—that’s a place of power that you can live your life from so that everything else is stemming from this place of sovereignty and ownership of self.”
If you are finding naked yoga an uncomfortable proposition to sit with, seek out a virtual naked yoga class like Stanley’s, she says.
“Seeing another naked person I think can be helpful, and I do think that seeing a fat naked person is helpful,” she says. “If you have any kind of concern about your body or if you are the type of person to compare your body to somebody else, and maybe you’re worried about looking at somebody who’s thin and feeling intimidated or ashamed or something, go look at the fat yoga person on OnlyFans and you will feel at home.”
There are also in-person naked yoga classes, but this may be a little more intimidating than solo time for people new to naked yoga. Stanley also prefers doing naked yoga at home because it is the time where she gets to know herself and her body, on her own terms.
“For me, the naked yoga practice is really like masterclass deepening time,” Stanley says. “At home by yourself, you don’t have to feel ashamed of the smells that your body makes. You don’t have to feel ashamed of what your body looks like. You can just be in your own energy, and you can gain a confidence with the way that your body moves.”
Most of all, she encourages people to bring a playful, joyful point of view to the experience. Get ready to laugh at yourself, and notice what comes up for you.
“Naked yoga is for everybody,” Stanley says. “Have fun, enjoy yourself, and love your body through this practice.”

REPORT: Maryland Abortion Clinic Owner Brags She Kills Babies Up to 8 Months, Says She’s “Worried About Where The Patients Are” | The Gateway Pundit
An abortion clinic owner in Maryland recently boasted her willingness to abort babies in the womb nearly up to birth while expressing worry about the “decrease in later abortion patients” in recent months.
This is something the radical left wants more of with their no-limit abortion agenda.
“It’s like trying to run a clinic on a foundation of quicksand. And we’ve got the 2024 election coming up. It’s going to be a stressful year,” said Morgan Nuzzo, co-owner of Partners in Abortion Care in College Park, Maryland.
DCist reports that “Nuzzo said that in the last few months her clinic has seen a drop-off in patients seeking later abortions, something she suspects could be due to patients not being aware or informed of other options when they can’t access abortion in other states, or because they’re unable to travel.”

Her clinic sees an average of 10 patients a week and Nuzzo claims she hates having to turn somebody away from her clinic.
“The very worst thing to do is turn somebody away who wants an abortion. It’s a terrible feeling to take someone’s choice from them. I’m not saying abortion is for everyone. Some people get here and they choose not to continue, and that’s wonderful. But to say, someone who wants to not be pregnant anymore, and to say, “You have no other options,” is a terrible thing to have to do to somebody.”

Nuzzo even said she was “worried” that her clinic is receiving fewer patients seeking the late-term abortions she proudly performs.

Morgan Nuzzo is the co-owner of an abortion business in the state of Maryland. But the abortion center she owns doesn’t just kill babies early in pregnancy.
In a new interview, Nuzzo brags that her abortion biz kills babies up to 34 weeks. That’s nearly full-term. Not only are these abortions killing babies who are born healthy every single day in hospitals across the country, they are past viability.
“We actually saw a decrease in later abortion patients from July until very recently. We were booked out several weeks in the spring and early summer. And then there was just this dramatic drop-off. Last year some advocacy folks did some data, and they were like, [the need for later abortion is] going to increase like a hundredfold. So I’m not really sure how to reconcile that with the reality of what we were seeing. But you know, even in California and Washington and Oregon, people were saying that they were seeing less people,” she said.
“We aren’t booking out now for appointments — we have availability next week. Whereas before [the wait time] was two to three weeks on average, sometimes as much as five. We were getting a little worried about where the patients are,” Nuzzo added.
Remember this when a leftist tells you that late-term abortions are extremely uncommon and only performed to save the life of a mother.

Winners and Losers of 2023: The year of AI and an annus horribilis for Elon
The technology year is over and it’s been a better 12 months for some of tech’s biggest names than others. Here’s a run down to those toasting to a great year and those glad to see the back of it.
In a year that the big names like Apple, Google, and Samsung shot par by delivering on what was expected of them and Sony continued its momentum, we aren’t hanging them major accolades or sticking the boot in.
There were plenty of others who flourished and floundered during an eventful 12 months where the tech world took a turn towards an artificially intelligent future.
WinnersOpenAI and ChatGPT2023 the coming out year for AI in the consumer realm, but one company stood above others. OpenAI’s ChatGPT became a household name and Microsoft is practically staking its entire future on OpenAI’s tech (and owns 49% of the company) in order to get a run on Google’s equivalent Bard.
Countless other apps and services are incorporating ChatGPT into their apps despite critics fears over the effect on the creative industries. The New York Times is leading the fightback against what it believes is plagiarism on a grand stage. Concerns remain about the humans in charge of the platform, following the kerfuffle surrounding a botched attempted leadership coup d’état.
NintendoNo new Switch? No problem. Nintendo had another standout year thanks to a couple of lads who’ve been at this game for a while. Link and Mario. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder delivered in a big way as Nintendo proved there’s still plenty of life in 2016’s Switch console. Away from the Joy Cons, the Super Mario Bros. movie was a smash hit and Nintendo even opened theme parks.
2024 promises to be even better. We might even see that fabled new Switch console…
2023 was the year Mark Zuckerberg stood up and said to the world: “How do you like me now?” The long-time pantomime villain of the social media world enjoyed a ‘better the devil you know’ year after Elon Musk showed up at Twitter and remade it in his own image.
Meta spotted an opportunity and launched Threads as an alternative to Twitter, which it intends to incorporate into the Fediverse in the future. Elsewhere, while Google and Apple continued to bicker over messaging, WhatsApp had a great year in adding new features. Oh, and the Meta Quest 3 isn’t bad either.
LosersElon MuskThis was an easy one. Twitter – or X as he’ll have us call it now – continued its death spiral throughout 2023 as the value of the company Musk paid $44 billion for continues to plummet in value. In September, Musk himself estimated X has lost 90% of its value under his stewardship. Then, he made some antisemitic comments and then told the advertisers to “go f**k yourselves” and then said an ad-boycott could kill the company. Way to go, Elon. Humanity’s saviour!
Streaming ServicesNot gonna lie – we’re pretty upset with streaming services right now. And 2023 may go down as the year the utopian, a la carte streaming dream began to die.
Pretty much all of them put the prices up in 2023. And if they didn’t, they compromised the experience by introducing advertisements (which goes against streaming’s big promise) and treating 4K like it’s still a premium feature rather than something we should get as standard.
And can we talk about the content too? Disney’s big Star Wars and Marvel shows have underwhelmed, Netflix’s output is very much of the marmite variety, while the less said about Amazon Prime’s Lord of the Rings show, the better. Oh and they’re about to start charging you an extra £3 on top of your Prime subscription if you want to avoid ads.
XboxAnother rough year for Microsoft’s console gaming platform, despite sealing the deal to buy Call of Duty maker Activision Blizzard. Again Microsoft struggled with big name exclusives that delivered the goods and truly engaged the public in 2023.
Microsoft has added plenty of excellent titles to Game Pass recently – including Starfield, Cocoon, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Stars and Forza Motorsport. And for what to be outsold by the PS5 by a ratio of 5:1, according to some sales estimates?
Xbox Series X owners continue to look across the aisle with envy.

Axelrod said that the Democrats’ best bet on beating Trump is in the polls.
“I think if you’re going to beat Donald Trump, you’re going to probably have to do it at the polls,” he continued…
Axelrod said that the effort by the left to remove Trump has backfired, and he has only “gained” popularity since his many indictments.
“We’ve run this experiment, he’s only gained since he started getting indicted,” he said.

Muslim leaders are vowing to punish Joe Biden at the ballot box in 2024 over America’s continued support for Israel and because they are angry that Biden has not called for a ceasefire.
Even non-Muslim activists on the left are angry about this and may vote third party or stay home on election day as a result, but an organized boycott by Muslims could have a real effect on the election, especially in a state like Michigan.
This is one of the main reasons why the Biden administration keeps talking about Islamophobia.

Muslim leaders announced on Saturday that they are going national with an effort to dissuade voters from reelecting President Joe Biden in 2024 due to his failure to call for a cease-fire in Gaza.
The #AbandonBiden campaign officially began earlier in December, led by Muslim leaders in swing states like Michigan, Minnesota and Arizona, who disapproved of Biden’s support for Israel’s counterattacks against Hamas. The counterattacks have come at the cost of tens of thousands of innocent Palestinian lives.
Now, the coalition intends to expand the pressure campaign to all 50 states.
“We will save America from itself, by punishing Biden at the ballot box,” said lead organizer Jaylani Hussein in a statement.
The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment…
“There is a likelihood that our votes may weaken the Democrats that the Republicans may win,” Hussein said. “We’re not fools about that.”
They seem serious about this.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is calling for reparations as a way to reduce violent crime. Is he suggesting that only black people commit violent crimes? It’s a good thing he isn’t a Republican or some people might say that he was a racist for saying that.
This raises other obvious questions. Is Brandon suggesting that we should pay criminals to not commit crimes? None of it makes sense.
Also, isn’t the city going broke due to the influx of illegal border crossers. Johnson just tapped millions in COVID funds to deal with that problem.

Democratic Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson insisted to CNN that funding for reparations in his new budget will help get to the root of the city’s record violent crime epidemic.
While speaking to network anchor Poppy Harlow on “CNN This Morning” Wednesday, Johnson acknowledged the high crime rate in Chicago and declared that the “full force of government” is required to solve it, including the city throwing $500,000 at reparations programs.
Harlow prompted his answer by citing Chicago Police Department statistics revealing that although “the murder rate is down from 2022,” “all other forms of violent crime, Mr. Mayor, are up from a year ago, up 17% overall.”…
He then spoke about city funds being diverted to providing reparations for its African American community. “I’ve added a half a million dollars for restoration and reparations to address, again, the cycle of violence, which looks like school closings, closing of mental health facilities, of which I’ve invested in now. We’re going to open up two mental health clinics that were closed from two previous administrations ago.”

One of the U.S. ships, the USS Gravely, shot down the two ballistic missiles. There was no report that the ships retaliated.
The Biden administration recently announced a new coalition to protect shipping in the Red Sea from Houthi attacks called Operation Prosperity Guardian, however the coalition is having issues, Reuters reported this week (excerpt):
Two of America’s European allies who were listed as contributors to Operation Prosperity Guardian — Italy and Spain — issued statements appearing to distance themselves from the maritime force.
The Pentagon says the force is a defensive coalition of more than 20 nations to ensure billions of dollars’ worth of commerce can flow freely through a vital shipping chokepoint in Red Sea waters off Yemen.
But nearly half of those countries have so far not come forward to acknowledge their contributions or allowed the US to do so. Those contributions can range from dispatching warships to merely sending a staff officer.
…The Red Sea is the entry point for ships using the Suez Canal, which handles about 12 percent of worldwide trade and is vital for the movement of goods between Asia and Europe. Houthi attacks have seen some ships rerouted around Africa’s Cape of Good Hope, substantially increasing sailing time and costs.

USS GRAVELY shoots down two anti-ship ballistic missiles while responding to Houthi attack on merchant vessel.
Today at approximately 8:30 p.m. (Sanaa time), the container ship MAERSK HANGZHOU reported that they were struck by a missile while transiting the Southern Red Sea. The Singapore-flagged, Denmark-owned/operated container ship requested assistance, and the USS GRAVELY (DDG 107) and USS LABOON (DDG 58) have responded to the ship. The vessel is reportedly seaworthy and there are no reported injuries.
While responding, the USS GRAVELY shot down two anti-ship ballistic missiles fired from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen toward the ships.
This is the 23rd illegal attack by the Houthis on international shipping since Nov. 19.

So far the Biden administration has not attacked any Houthi base for firing on ships in the Red Sea over the past three months.
