New York Times columnist and pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson is saying that Donald Trump is now seen as the ‘return to normalcy’ candidate.
This is a shocking turn of events for anyone who has been following political news for the last several years. When Trump won in 2016, liberals all over the country started saying “this is not normal.” It became a common talking point.
Then in 2020, Democrats claimed that Biden would be the ‘return to normalcy’ candidate. Everyone can see how that worked out.

Voters perceive former President Donald Trump as the return to normalcy candidate after President Joe Biden failed to “put things back in order,” pollster and New York Times columnist Kristen Soltis Anderson recently wrote.
Anderson’s observation highlights Biden’s failure to restore America to a state of predictable stability following three years of his chaotic policies:
– Draconian pandemic mandates
– Deadly Afghan withdrawal
– Soaring cost of living
– Growing instability in Ukraine and the Middle East
– Record high invasion on the southern border
“The 2024 election will not be fought along the conventional axis of left and right or even change and more of the same,” Anderson wrote in the Times. “Voters very much want change; they have made that clear with the absolutely abominable ratings they give our leadership in poll after poll.”
“But instead of clamoring for someone to blow everything up, they are crying out for someone to put things back in order,” she wrote. “Voters wanted this from Mr. Biden and clearly feel he didn’t deliver, which is why Mr. Trump currently leads by notable margins across most of the key swing states.”
It’s amazing to hear this from a liberal at the NY Times.

President Donald Trump slammed President Joe Biden for his weak response to the continued attacks by Iranian-backed groups on US forces in the Middle East.
There have been over 100 attacks on US forces in the Middle East since the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas on southern Israel.
Trump went on to suggest Joe Biden is the Manchurian candidate!
Considering Joe Biden is owned by the Chinese and Ukrainians, among others, Trump’s accusation clearly rings true.
President Trump: So last night, a young soldier was killed. Us, and the two were very badly hurt. And nobody even talks about it. It’s not even believable. They have 129 attacks or something like that on our troops in the Middle East, 129 over the last few weeks, and we don’t even do anything about it.
This president is incompetent. He has no clue. And he’s probably a manchurian candidate. He’s probably totally compromised. He accepts money from so many countries.
So maybe he accepted money from these countries, so he doesn’t want to do anything about it, because they know more than any accountant is going to be able to find out. But he is a manchurian candidate, and how can he allow. So we had a soldier killed last night, two horrifically wounded, and that’s going to be just the beginning of it. They don’t respect him and they just are doing whatever they want to do. But now Iran, if you look at it now, Iran has $200 billion that they made on oil, not to mention the $6 billion.
As you know, they made $6 billion on the hostage deal. And they also made $10 billion on electricity to Iraq. 10 billion. But that’s not even the big number. The big number is what they’re making on the oil, because all of these countries that weren’t buying when I was president, they wouldn’t have bought.

Florida Democrat Under Investigation For Violating Campaign Finance Laws | The Gateway Pundit
Florida Democrat Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is under investigation for violating campaign finance laws.
According to the House Ethics Committee, Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick over allegations she used taxpayer funds for campaign advertising.
“In accordance with House Rule XI, clause 3, and Committee Rules 10(a)(2) and 17A, the Committee unanimously voted to establish an Investigative Subcommittee. Pursuant to the Committee’s action, the Investigative Subcommittee shall have jurisdiction to determine whether Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick violated the Code of Official Conduct or any law, rule, regulation, or other applicable standard of conduct in the performance of her duties or the discharge of her responsibilities, with respect to allegations that she may have violated campaign finance laws and regulations in connection with her 2022 special election and/or 2022 re-election campaigns; failed to properly disclose required information on statements required to be filed with the House; and/or accepted voluntary services for official work from an individual not employed in her congressional office.” the House Ethics Committee said in a statement.
“The Honorable Andrew R. Garbarino will serve as the Chair of the Investigative Subcommittee, and the Honorable Chrissy Houlahan will serve as the Ranking Member. The other two members of the Investigative Subcommittee are the Honorable Cliff Bentz and the Honorable Troy A. Carter,” the Committee said.
“The Committee has determined to take this action following receipt of a referral from the Office of Congressional Ethics regarding this matter. The Committee notes that the mere fact of establishing an Investigative Subcommittee does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred,” the Ethics Committee Chairman said.
According to MSNBC, the House Ethics Committee unanimously voted to open an investigation into Cherfilus-McCormick.

Kansas High School Approves Satan Worship Club Despite Pushback from Students, Parents | The Gateway Pundit
A Kansas high school approved a Satan worship club despite an online petition with over 7,000 signatures to stop group.
Olathe School District this month approved a “Satan Club” after the club application “met the criteria.”
Parents and students were outraged by the approval of the “Satan Club” but Olathe Public Schools said it approved the club because it is protected under the First Amendment.
Fox 4 Kansas City reported:
Despite a petition against it, a “Satan Club” has been approved by the Olathe School District.
An Olathe Public Schools spokesperson stated, “the club application met the criteria to establish a student-initiated club and is now recognized as a student-initiated club at Olathe Northwest High School.”
In mid-December, the Olathe School District confirmed that a student had applied to develop a “High School Satan Club.”
There were some mixed reactions from parents, some expressed concern while others thought it was a justifiable right.
A student began an online petition called, “Stop The Satan Worship Club at Olathe Northwest.” By the evening of Dec. 18, it garnered over 6,800 signatures; now that number is over 7,500.
The school district has a criteria that the club had to pass before the application would be approved.
After school Satan Clubs have been popping up all over the country in the last several years.
Parents have protested the after-school Satan clubs at elementary schools but the Satanic Temple has won many times in federal court.

A video going viral Tuesday shows a hard-working employee for Delta putting a transgender actor in his place just three days before Christmas.
Tommy Dorfman, a biological male who identifies as female and uses she/her pronouns, posted a Tiktok video showing himself at LaGuardia Airport on December 22. He was waiting to a flight to his hometown of Atlanta, presumably to celebrate the holidays with his family.
In the video, Dorfman claims to be offended after a female Delta employee referred to him using male pronouns and starts whining to a male employee behind the counter. The male employee was initially polite to Dorfman and assured him the “misgendering” was not intentional.
But Dorfman got triggered further and accused the male employee of not using the “correct” pronouns. After hearing Dorfman lecture him for several more seconds, the employee got fed up and threatened to have security escort the crybaby out of the airport. Dorfman then gave up.
Dorfman thought by posting the video that, he would garner cheap sympathy points for exposing a “transphobic” Delta employee. As one can see in Dorfman’s post, he had no clue how badly his grandstanding blew up in his face.

Denver Police Say They’re Increasing Security at Homes of State Supreme Court Justices – CNN Grudgingly Admits There Are No Credible Threats (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit
Following the decision by the Colorado Supreme Court to remove Trump from the ballot, there have been rumors of threats against the judges on the court. As a result, the Denver Police Department has reportedly upped security at the justices’ homes.
Of course, no one on the left cared when conservative justices on the U.S. Supreme Court were being harassed and threatened at their homes. Protection is reserved for liberals.
And now, no one is even sure how real the threats are in Colorado, but it’s not stopping the media from hyping the story.

Police increase patrols around Colorado justices’ homes after Trump ruling
The Denver Police Department said Tuesday it is investigating reports of threats or harassment against the Colorado Supreme Court justices and has increased patrols around their residences.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the police department said it “is providing extra patrols around justice’s residences in Denver and will provide additional safety support if/as requested.”
The heightened security precautions come as the justices face mounting threats in the wake of their controversial ruling that rendered former President Trump ineligible to appear on the state’s 2024 presidential primary ballot.
In the 4-3 decision, which cited the “insurrection clause” of the 14th Amendment, the court ruled Trump engaged in an insurrection through his activities leading up to and on Jan. 6, 2021, when thousands of his supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol.
CNN hyped the story and then was forced to admit that there are no credible threats.

State of South Carolina Divests From Woke Disney Due to ‘Structural Rot’ | The Gateway Pundit
The state of South Carolina has divested itself from Disney but not for the exact reason you might think.
It would make perfect sense if South Carolina did this on the basis of the woke culture at Disney, but it was actually for a more practical reason. They did this because Disney is more interested in pushing woke culture than delivering returns for their investors.
As a financial matter, it makes even more sense.

And Disney takes another blow on the chin, this time from South Carolina.
According to Moneywise, South Carolina State Treasurer Curtis Loftis has divested the state’s money from Disney over the corporation not doing its fiduciary responsibility. Loftis blamed a “structural rot” within the company that he doesn’t see it getting away from:
“I think it’s clear to anybody paying attention that there’s a structural rot inside of Disney. It’s deep, it’s pervasive, and I suspect Bob Iger, since his return as the CEO, now realizes it can’t be fixed,” he told Fox Business Digital, adding that it “does not bode well” for the future of the company.
The amount of money South Carolina is pulling out of Disney isn’t small either:
Fox Business Digital reported that the portfolio of the State Treasurer’s Office included $105 million in Disney debt securities, which will not be renewed upon maturity. In total, Loftis is responsible for managing $67 billion in public funds.

In a devastating outbreak of violence, at least 160 Christians were targeted and killed during what has been described as a “very terrifying Christmas” in north-central Nigeria’s Plateau state.
The affected area has seen a surge of violence over the Christmas Eve weekend, resulting in a death toll that has shocked communities and the nation at large.
Gunmen launched coordinated assaults in not fewer than 20 villages on the eve of December 24th, carrying out attacks that continued unabated into the following day, The Guardian reported.
The suspected attacker, nomadic herders, killed at least 140 people using guns and machetes. According to Punch Newspaper, over 10,000 people were displaced by the attacks.

On Tuesday, the Chairman of Community Peace Observers in the Bokkos Local Government Area, Mallai, in an interview with The PUNCH, said, “Over 150 people were killed in the attacks. In Bokkos town alone, more than 10,000 people are taking refuge in churches, mosques, schools, and private residences.”

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State described the attacks on over 20 communities over Saturday and Sunday as “barbaric, brutal and unjustified” in a broadcast on local Channels Television. He reported that during these assaults, the majority of houses in the affected areas were destroyed by fire.
“This has indeed been a very gory Christmas for us. We have had to celebrate with a heavy heart. Just when people had finished preparing for Christmas celebrations, unprovoked attacks were unleashed on several of our communities,” Gov. Mutfwan said.
“As I’m talking to you, in Mangun Local Government alone, we buried at least 15 people. So far this morning in the Bokkos Local Government, we were counting not less than 100 corpses. I have yet to take stock of that of Barki-Ladi. Most of the communities affected in Barki-Ladi share a border with the Bokkos Local Government. ‘’
“Under the last regime, the feeling among people in Plateau State particularly the victims of these terrorist attacks is that it looks as if the terrorists were given official government backing to be able to terrorise them because little or nothing was done to repel these attacks.
“I can tell you these schools that are being occupied, it didn’t just start now, some of those schools have been occupied in the last three, four, five years.
“Children therefore in those schools have not been able to go to school. They have to relocate. We even have primary health care centres abandoned because of these terrorists which means that our health care system is put in jeopardy; what do we need to do? I think this is where the President needs to come in,” he added.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu condemned the brutal attack.
“I strongly condemn the heinous and brutal attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State, which have tragically resulted in the loss of many lives.
I have directed our security agencies to immediately move in, scour every part of the zone, and apprehend the culprits responsible for these atrocities.
Furthermore, I have ordered the immediate mobilization of relief resources for the surviving victims of these primitive and cruel attacks, as well as ensuring medical treatment is provided for the wounded.
While condoling with the government and the people of Plateau State, I assure all Nigerians that the envoys of death, pain, and sorrow responsible for these acts will not escape justice.”

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, suspicion has centered on herders from the Muslim Fulani herdsmen. They have previously been implicated in similar large-scale attacks in the northwest and central regions.
This Muslim tribe targets Christian communities to take their land and resources, deepening the sectarian divide between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country.

David Brooks is the ultimate RINO. As the ‘conservative’ columnist at the New York Times, Brooks has never met a Democrat he didn’t like or a liberal policy he didn’t endorse.
And yet, even he can see what an outrageous thing it is for four unelected judges to interfere in the 2024 election by taking trump off the ballot.
Brooks commented on this during an appearance on taxpayer funded PBS.

NAWAZ: What should happen here?
BROOKS: Yes.
Well, why is Donald Trump, why did he become president? Why are there populist movements across every Western country? It’s because a lot of people in a lot of these countries, me included, think a highly educated cohort of, in this case Americans, have created a hereditary meritocratic class. They have too — they have a lot of education. They now have a lot of cultural power. They control the media. They control the universities. They increasingly control the courts.
And a lot of Americans say they have too much power. We’re going to be populists. We’re going to have an uprising. And then you have a series of judges with their Ivy League law degrees who come in and say, sorry, we’re taking your guy off the ballot? That would explode this country and, in my view, explode it under the most dubious possible circumstances, for kicking off for the Insurrection Act.

Three years ago on Christmas of 2020, President Trump pardoned Gary Brugman who was punished for protecting his country.The local Texas Tribune reported on the pardon.
President Donald J. Trump announced 26 new pardons Wednesday, including one for Gary Brugman, a former U.S. Border Patrol agent who was sent to prison for nearly two years for violating the civil rights of a man attempting to cross the U.S. border into Texas.
U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn of Texas, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and a slate of Republican congressional members were among the public figures who supported Brugman’s clemency, according to a statement from the White House press secretary.
Brugman’s case drew national attention among conservative figures who hailed him for working to secure the U.S. border. Court documents show that in January 2001, Brugman and a partner responded to a sensor alert in a pecan orchard near the border, where they spotted “a group of approximately ten individuals attempting to enter the United States illegally.”
Brugman chased them on foot after they attempted to run. After another officer caught up with the group, he ordered the men to sit on the floor…
…Brugman was convicted in 2002 and spent more than two years in a federal prison. He’s repeatedly defended his actions and said not all of the men captured were cooperating.
“I ran up to the aliens and with the bottom of my foot I pushed the first alien to the ground … and told him to sit down as I said ‘sientense,’” Brugman wrote in a blog about his encounter, according to Fox News. “I then turned to a second alien and pushed him to the ground too.”
Brugman served in the Coast Guard for eight years and as a Border Patrol agent for four, the release from the White House said.
President Trump protected Americans.
