Shane looked at Tabbruis and Charmeine then turned around to look at the New York Harbor. He said, “When I was found as an infant, I was naked lying in the corner cold and hungry. Child services said I was well cared for and not abused, but I was left there with no protection or a note… nothing. But I had this dream last night. I used to dream a part of it when I was a young boy. But I guess as I grew up, I stopped having the dream.”
He turned around, looked at them and said, “In my dream, you two were there. Char was there and her hair was curled up pulled to one side of her face. She was dressed in white and in fact the whole place was white. Tab, you were there too, dressed in white but with golden armor breastplate and a sword mounted on your side.”
Tabbruis could feel his heart skip a beat and Charmeine’s was turning flip-flops in her chest. Tabbruis and Charmeine looked at each other. Both with wonder in their eyes, they looked back at Shane. Tabbruis said, “You were there?”
Shane said, “I don’t know, everything was light and misty like we were in a cloud almost.”
Charmeine swallowed hard and asked, “I know what you mean. You were there with us?”
Shane smiled and said, “Well yeah, but not exactly. This is where it gets just out there. I heard you call Tab…Tabbruis, and I heard Tab call you…Charmeine?”
Dead silence was in the room…
Tabbruis and Charmeine just stared at him like statues.
Shane shook his head and said “It gets weirder guys.”
He took a big breath and swallowed.

“Char you had a baby in your arms, and I saw Tab or Tabbruis bend down to soothe the baby because it was crying. Tab or Tabbruis asked what you wanted to name the baby, and Char, you said… Shane.”
Charmeine started to feel the room spin and her eyes rolled into the back her head.
Like a flash of a falling star, Charmeine remembered being pregnant… the feeling of the baby growing inside her… the happiness when her baby was born… Tabbruis kissing the baby boy holding him in his arms…
Charmeine fell backwards in a faint and Tabbruis moved to catch her.
Shane dove down to the floor and grabbed Charmeine’s head before it hit the floor.
Tabbruis started to administer little slaps to Charmeine’s face.
Shane was trembling and said, “Hey Char… come on. Please look at me Char. I’m sorry.”
Charmeine was coming around. She opened her eyes and saw Tabbruis and Shane. Charmeine knew in an instant that Shane was her and Tabbruis’ son.
She turned to Tabbruis and cried out, “Oh my God! It’s the truth Tabbruis! It’s the truth every word of it. I just remembered Tabbruis. I remembered carrying our baby. I remember giving birth to Shane. I remember how happy we were the day he was born. I remember how happy we were to have Shane and to be a family in Heaven! I remember! Tabbruis, Shane is our son!”
All the hundreds of years of pain and loneliness just came crashing down on Tabbruis like a tidal wave. He stared at Charmeine with stunned expression. Tabbruis staggered with the weight of her words and sat back on the floor not knowing what to say unable to speak.
Tabbruis knew Charmeine was telling the truth. He thought, ‘How could this young man before me be my son and I not know it?’
Tabbruis did not know what to do with all the emotions that were deep down inside of him.
Charmeine sat up holding Tabbruis’ arm and said, “Tabbruis, look into your heart and remember.”

Tabbruis closed his eyes and in that instant, he remembered seeing the sparkling blue eyes of the infant he cradled in his arms. Tabbruis opened his eyes and saw Shane’s bright blue eyes… They were his son’s eyes!
With one look, he knew Shane was his son! Tabbruis crushed Shane to his chest with a big hug. Tabbruis released Shane and said while looking at him, “I cannot believe it, but it is true! I saw our son’s eyes when he was a baby, and I see them before me now! Shane! Oh my God, you are my son! You are my son!”
Shane was shaking he was stunned with emotions. He looked to Charmeine and said, “It’s true Char?”
Charmeine said choking through the tears, “Yes! Yes! It is true! I remember now! I recall expecting you, your birth, and how we were a family in Heaven!”
Tabbruis said, “Shane, my son. My God, I remember those eyes now.” He hugged Shane tightly again.
Shane welling in tears said, “I guess you’re my Dad, huh?”
Tabbruis said proudly, “Yes Shane, I am your Father.”
Shane pulled away and said to Charmeine, “You… you are my Mom? That’s a trip and a half!”
She said, “Shane, you are my Son!”
Tabbruis wrapped his arm around Charmeine and said, “Shane, your Mother and I have found you!” They all grabbed each other in a strong embrace.

Tabbruis said, “Thank God, we have found each other at last! After a years of separation and loneliness, we are a family again!”
Shane sat back still with tears running down his face and said, “Why? Why did this happen to us? What happened?”
Tabbruis said, “Son, I do not know why we were all separated. Maybe we will find those answers to our questions. However, we are together now. That is all that matters. Our family is restored and reunited; we are all together again.”
Shane said, “It just hurts so much! I felt so damn lonely.”
Tabbruis said, “I know Son. We all felt alone in this world.”
He looked at Charmeine and she nodded.
Tabbruis continued and said, “I am sure we will find the answers to our questions. However, for now, let us dwell on the fact we are together now, today and in this moment.”
Charmeine just stared at the two, Father and Son back together again. Each of them so hurt by the separation but so happy they were together again.
Charmeine silently prayed, ‘Thank you God. Thank you for bringing Tabbruis’ Son back to him. Thank you Lord God, this is wonderful to my eyes.’

Well to start, I am a paradox in several ways!

I am a compulsive eater but exercise! I’m the fattest, in shape, person I know!

I clean all the time but my house is dirty!

I can strong black coffee right before bed and sleep!

I love pure romance stories but I like steamy sexy stories too! I like YA and Adult which most people like one or the other!

I really love looking at the fashions and make-up ‘In-Style’ and ‘Vogue’ magazines, but I wear polo shirts, chinos, and tennis shoes almost all the time! I really hate I am such a tomboy but I tried when I was a teenager to be fashionable with the “Marcia Brady” dresses and hair, but it never took! I wish it did, I wish I enjoyed going to the Mall and clothes shopping, but I just don’t like it at all!

I think Seinfeld is the funniest show ever but it was based on everything bad about the human mind and what we think inside our heads but don’t say… thank God!

This is a very personal thing but… I have been criticized about the gay couple in “The Light-Bearer Series,” Hameal and Neal!!! I would like to once and for all answer this prejudice!

In the world or reality “The Light-Bearer Series” takes place, the Blood-Hunters and Light-Bearers alike didn’t see a person as Straight, Gay, African-American, White, Hispanic, European or any other distinctions that normal people would make. All of the people in this world were equal EXCEPT for the fact they were either ‘Human,’ ‘Light-Bearers,’ or ‘Blood-Hunters.’ NOTHING ELSE MATTERED except for those things.
Also the world that I tried to create was one of LOVE! Love which is BLIND love… period. The characters in the book never used labels in their world because they had seen Heaven and Hell and it sure didn’t matter there who was gay or straight, fat or thin, African-American or white… I could go on and on… in Heaven or Hell! “The Light-Bearer Series” is definitely YA but just because there is a gay couple in the novels, some people have been overly critical. I say tolerance and love are values which are lacking in the world and can never be overly displayed!

I really hate prejudice…. Period!

“No Worries” snippet from “MACTUS” the Second Novel in “The Light-Bearer Series”

While the white light surrounded them, they both began to go into a dream state of consciousness.
Tabbruis and Charmeine both saw their Heavenly bodies walking and their baby, Shane, was in her arms. Shane became fussy and Tabbruis picked him up and cuddled him. Shane instantly calmed down. With a flash… they saw their regular bodies at the castle walking in a beautiful garden full of roses. In the present day dream, Charmeine stopped and was talking to Tabbruis. He became very happy and picked up Charmeine smiling from ear to ear. They were laughing and kissed, truly at peace with nothing but happiness in their hearts.
When the dream ended, Tabbruis finally released his hold on Charmeine. As he slipped beside her he took back his hands, they noticed the white light surrounding them dissipated. Tabbruis’ eyes were black with desire and he was panting the words, “Did you see what I saw?” Charmeine was breathing hard and whispered out a breathy response, “Yes!”
Charmeine swallowed and said in a whisper, “I’m not going to give up. I’m going to fight for our love Tabbruis. I now know we will defeat any enemy of God if we stand together. I believe it. Oh God, I truly believe it.”
Tabbruis felt calmed when he heard her declaration, “So, I will have you forever?”
Charmeine laughed with more breath now and replied, “Yep! No exchanges or refunds! You’ve already ripped off the tag. Sorry!”

Tabbruis laughed. When he turned to get up, she turned to get up. Their heads made contact, with a thump. The bump made them dizzy. Now, they were laughing so hard and moaning in pain it was more than funny, it was comical. Still laughing, he held out his hands and said, “Just stay there,” and he got out of bed. He gave Charmeine his hand to get her to her feet and it sparked. Still holding their heads, they were still smiling at each other.
Tabbruis said as he chuckled, “I asked for some food to be sent up. I would like you to sit here and have a drink with me.”
Charmeine nodded her head and said, “There’s nothing I would like better.”
Walking over to the table they both looked at each other. They took a moment to breathe the fresh sea breeze. Tabbruis uncovered the food, uncorked the decanter and poured himself a glass of blood. He got out the ice in the cooler with the can of Coke. Her eyes went wide, “Oh my God… Coke… thank you! You are too good to me. You spoil me too much Tabbruis.”
Tabbruis burst out laughing.
“What’s so funny?” she asked.
Tabbruis shook his head and replied, “I cannot believe how dear you are. A can of Coke is not spoiling you.” He popped tab and started to poor it in the glass. Charmeine grabbed the glass before it was full. Tabbruis hardly had time to pull the can of Coke up before it spilled.
Charmeine hungrily drank the liquid down in seconds and clinked the glass on the table and said, “Fill ‘er up partner!”
Tabbruis was sniggering so much he could barely pour the Coke out. Charmeine stuck her finger and thumb like a gun to his ribs, and said, “Give it up mista.”
Tabbruis fell back in his chair laughing, while she took the Coke can and glass. Recovering from his bout of laughter, he said, “Charmeine, I have never met such a beautiful, kind, intuitive, talented, magical, shy, loving, half-baked crackpot in all my life.”

Smiling with a smirk, Charmeine said, “Oh yeah? And you’ve only been on the Earth just 7000 or 8000 years? Tabbruis, you have lived a very sheltered life. I meet more interesting people at the A&P telling me about the benefits of corn cat litter vs. regular litter, when I don’t even have a cat! You gotta get out more Tabbruis, you’re missing it. If you think I’m a crackpot, I will send you the A&P at 10:00 p.m. on a Friday night!”
Charmeine winked at Tabbruis nodding her head.
Tabbruis busted out with a laugh so hard, his side hurt.
Charmeine was smiling and shaking her head while she made a plate of cheese, fruit and nuts.
Tabbruis was still laughing hard.
She said with a ‘Godfather’ impression, “What? What’s so funny Gumba?”

Tabbruis doubled over snickering; he had tears in his eyes.
Charmeine promptly started to eat devouring her food.
Tabbruis noticed and said, “You are starved, I am sorry.”
Charmeine said, “No worries, I didn’t really know how hungry I was until right now. Thank you for this.” She finished the last on her plate.
In nervousness, Tabbruis took a big gulp of blood.
Getting up and moving across the porch Tabbruis motioned for Charmeine to come and see something below the castle on the grounds. As she came up to him, he said, “Look, there is a grove of plum trees over there. That scent is part of the sweetness you smell.” Charmeine smiled and touched Tabbruis’ arm as she inhaled.
Charmeine noticed he was very nervous and trembling. Looking at him, she asked, “What’s the matter?”

“Sacrifice” snippet from “MACTUS” the Second Novel in “The Light-Bearer Series”

Tabbruis’ heart was full of love and joy. He sat on the bed. He knew Charmeine was still soaking. Taking out the other ring, he called to the kitchen and asked for some food to be brought up with Ţuică and a crystal decanter of blood. Tabbruis rather liked the way Neal drank it and wanted to savor it again that way. He had always deprived himself of riches and extravagances; however, with someone to share with, it seemed like so much fun.
Tabbruis got undressed and put on silk pajamas and a matching silk robe. He slipped the ring into his robe pocket and opened the door to the porch. The air from the Black Sea was gently cooling down the suite. Tabbruis smelled all sorts of scents. He especially could smell the scent of roses, coming from the bath.
A knock at the door brought Tabbruis out of his revelries. He opened it and Thomas brought in a cart stocked with all sorts of fruits, cheeses, nuts and of course, the Ţuică in one decanter and blood in another decanter. As if they read his mind, on the cart there was a small vase full of red roses.
He asked Thomas, “Were you able to bring the Coke?”
He said, “Oh yes, it is in the cooler on the second level.”
Tabbruis said, “I am in your debt. Thank you for this kindness.”
He smiled and said, “Welcome and enjoy!” and left.
Tabbruis took a couple of the roses and picked the petals off of the stem and spread them out over the bed and put some on the pillows. He took the cart out to the terrace. Tabbruis filled two glasses with the plum wine, Ţuică.

Getting a funny feeling about what he was going to do… Tabbruis was nervous! He was nervous about asking the woman he already knew to be his wife and he had a child with, if he could marry her properly in a ceremony with witnesses. He felt a flip in his stomach and hoped she would say yes and thought, ‘Oh God, what if she refuses me?’ Tabbruis thought his heart would break in half if she did.
Tabbruis sat on a lounge chair and closed his eyes. He began to push his fears away because he knew Charmeine was his and he was hers. As Tabbruis relaxed, his mind unraveled and he began to sleep and dream of Charmeine.

Charmeine soaked in the bath relaxing every muscle of her body. She kept thinking about what she must do to protect her family. She could not bear one person being sacrificed for her existence. A few days ago, Shane was a normal young man who was her best-friend, an adopted brother. Now, he was her son who had this immortal curse of being a Light-Bearer and Blood-Hunter in one. She knew Shane always felt like an outcast. More like a ‘no one’, who had no one. She felt like that also.
Charmeine got up out of the tub and patted herself down. She felt restless and guilty because so many of the people she loved were willing to sacrifice themselves for her. Charmeine went to the mirror and started brushing her wet hair and thought how she couldn’t let their destruction be because of her. Charmeine spied a robe on a shelf and wrapped it over herself. She felt like crying but she had no more tears.

Charmeine just got a family and home. Now, she had to sacrifice it all for them. She opened the door to the bathroom quietly in case Tabbruis was asleep, she did not want wake him. Charmeine looked at the bed and it had rose petals scattered on it. Even on the pillow cases. Quietly she said to herself, ‘Oh God, I love Tabbruis so much. Please help me keep him safe.’
Charmeine had to think. She had to discover a way to get out of the castle compound, find the Elder Council and give herself up. Charmeine believed that the Elder Council would let Tabbruis, Neal and Dmitri alone if she gave them what they wanted… herself. She had to sacrifice herself to save them all. Charmeine was so thankful the Elder Council did not know about Shane. She thought, ‘God knows what the Elder Council would do to Shane.’
Charmeine knew Tabbruis or Shane would gladly martyr themselves to save her. However, she was bound and determined not to let that happen. In frustration, she thought, ‘Damn it to Hell!’
Charmeine walked over to the dresser and looked tentatively in the drawer. She couldn’t believe Tabbruis had the room ready for her with clothes just like he did at the hotel. Seeing the underwear and socks, she put them on. Charmeine went to the closet, got pair of jeans and a light pullover. She went back into the bathroom and slipped on her tennis shoes.
Charmeine didn’t know where she was going or even when she would get the opportunity, but she needed to case the grounds to see if there was a way she could escape. She slipped out the master suite door down the elaborate hallway. She came to the outer door of the wing of the castle and slowly pushed the door open. Charmeine slinked through the hallway walking slow and looking around. She saw the stairs she climbed earlier and clung to the wall inching her way down the long stairwell. It came out in the front entry hall. It was dimly lit and the moon was beating down through the windows on the sides of the entrance. Charmeine knew if she left out that way all the sensors would to start to alarm the men in security.

To her right was a Grand Hall, and remembered passing it earlier. Charmeine thought there might be a door or window that she could eventually make an exit by in it.
Instantly when she walked into the Grand Hall, she noticed it was richly furnished.
The room had all sorts of stately pictures on the walls. She recognized the famous people in history like Mahatma Gandhi, President John F. Kennedy, Queen Elizabeth I, and then on another wall Abraham Lincoln, Mother Theresa and Martin Luther King, Jr.
Her heart warmed to know that there were some people in this world that recognized greatness in any age, sex or religion.

“Flashes of Judgment” snippet from “MACTUS” the Second Novel in “The Light-Bearer Series”

Charmeine went into the Formal Reception Hall. She was bowled over when she saw the rich décor of the Formal Reception Hall. It was chucked full of antiques and gold-guild paneling which represented something of a Russian influence. She walked quietly as she turned her head up inspecting a painting of Alexander the Great. Then she saw the ceiling and her heart began to flutter.
The ceiling had been painted with a mural of God casting Lucifer out of Heaven. Charmeine began to shiver and shake. Her stomach turned sour and nauseous. She reached to get to a chair and sit down.
Flashes of light rushed before her eyes…
As in a dream, she could see mist and clouds before her. In dreamy far off voices, Charmeine could hear screaming and commands being given, “Bring down the gate…” People were rushing past her knocking her from side to side. She could hear her own screams, shouting and a baby crying. Charmeine instinctively grabbed her arms as if the baby was in them.

Flashes of fire were raining down all around her. Charmeine could hear her own self yelling, “NO! Do not close the gate! He is not here!”
She saw her put down the child in her arms to run to the Gatekeeper. She saw herself begging him, “Tabbruis! He is not here. NO! PLEASE!”
Then in a flash, the vision fizzled and she was left shuddering and shaking. She put her hands over her face and bent down putting her hands and head on her lap. She rocked herself gently back and forth. Charmeine felt a stabbing pain go through her like a knife. She just sat murmuring, “He’s not here. He’s not here. Oh God, he wasn’t there.” She did not cry Charmeine had no more tears to cry.
Charmeine heard a voice say, “He was not with you then, but he is with you now child.” Over by the window she saw the elusive, Dmitri. He was extremely tall, dark and stately with a physique like Tabbruis.

Charmeine straightened herself up still trembling. She said, “I don’t know what just happened.”
Dmitri lifted his eyebrows and said with a smile, “Oh my dear, you know.” He walked over to the Ball Room saying with a knowing grin, “Come child, your family awaits you.” With that, he left and walked out.
Charmeine threw back her hair and slowly got up out of the chair. She went over to the mirror on the wall by the door and she was pale as a ghost. Determined not to great her family in such a state, she straightened her shoulders and pinched her cheeks into color. She took a big breath and went through the Ball Room.
At the end, she saw huge door opening to the sun-drenched porch. As Charmeine approached the light, she smiled as big as she could.

Realization of terror…
When we used to watch the news in the late 60′s and 70′s
there were terrible and horrible happenings of war and civil unrest coming across our black and white TVs…
I used that as I was writing this passage and how out of control I felt back then…
helpless to help those in need…
helpless to stop the oppression…
“Broken Wings” has been one of my favorite songs and I just get misty listening to the lyrics.
Today… take time to hug those care about and be secure in their love!

Sandra! ~ snippet from “MACTUS” the Second Novel in “The Light-Bearer Series”

Tabbruis went to his dresser and took out a flat jewelry box. When he opened it, he spied a ring and pulled it out pocketing it in his jeans. Then, he spotted another ring and held it in his hand. He took out of his jeans a wad of Romanian money; he laid it down and picked up the phone. In Romanian, he asked to have a limo with a driver in front in about 30 minutes.
Tabbruis picked up the money and ring and held it in his hand. He went down the hall to Neal’s room and knocked. Neal answered the door, and Tabbruis said, “The car will be ready in 30 minutes. Do you want me to come along?”
Neal smiled and answered, “After what we saw at the airport yesterday, I would say no. Your services will not be needed.”
Tabbruis said, “Okay, but call Thomas and ask him for some cut roses. Shane cannot be there waiting without them.”
Neal said, “You romantic, okay good enough. I will do it now.”
Then Tabbruis walked down the hall to Shane’s room. Gently knocking the door he said, “Shane, it is your father, can I talk to you?”
Shane opened the door immediately and was smiling, he asked, “Can you believe this place Dad? It’s got everything!”
Tabbruis nodded and said, “Son, I know. The castle was and has been my home for many, many years.”
Tabbruis slapped his hands together and rubbed them. This was Shane’s clue something big was coming and his dad didn’t want to be interrupted.
Tabbruis said, “Listen to me son. I took it upon myself to do something. I hope you will be happy about it. I wanted our family to be together and not apart. We have spent so much time hurting and lonely. I wanted us to be content for a while. Shane please do not be mad but I arranged for Sandra to be discharged early.”
Shane interrupted him and yelled, “Oh my God! Sandra’s coming home?”

Tabbruis answered in a stern manner, “Shane! Let me get all this out, please son? I pulled some strings with Washington, and her honorable discharge has been rushed through. I wanted her to be waiting for you when we arrived at Bucharest tonight, but it was not possible with the all the red-tape my people in Washington had to undo. But Son, Sandra will be at the Bucharest Airport in three hours and …”
Shane threw his arms around Tabbruis in a wind crushing hug, he cried, “Thank you Father! Oh my God… Thank you! Thank you!”
Tabbruis patted Shane on the back, rocked him back and forth and said, “You are welcome my son. I wanted to give you some happiness in this life, and obviously you must not be apart from Sandra. I know I would not be able to stand it if your mother was ever separated from me. I would be lost.”
Shane could not control his happiness and sobbed.
Tabbruis said, “Son, you must listen to me now, I have a lot to say and the car will leave in 25 minutes. Let us sit down here.” Tabbruis sat Shane down on the couch by the door. He said, “I have arranged for you to have a bank account, securities and real estate holdings in the millions of dollars, you will want for nothing and neither will your family.”
Shane was stunned as tears were rolling down his face.

Tabbruis continued and said, “Listen to me Shane.” Tabbruis looked him in the eye and said, “I have a ring I have taken out of my collection; it is a 3 carat diamond with sapphires. If you do not think it too forward, I would like you to give it to Sandra when you ask her to marry you. I also have some cash that you may need for walking around money.
My safe has money of every denomination in it. I also have accounts around the world, my holdings are vast, various and large. So, if you and Sandra chose to live with your mother and I it would be wonderful, but you always have the option to be out on your own.
I will explain more and we will go over all the mountain of paperwork later. Right now, you have 15 minutes to dress in something presentable and get your girl, Son!”
Tabbruis handed him the ring and Romanian cash.
Stunned and overwhelmed, Shane said, “Father, I will never forget this. Thank you.” He hugged Tabbruis again, jumped up and hollered, “Whoa, I’m getting my Sandra tonight! I gotta get ready!”
Shane started running around the room like a mad man pulling clothes out.
As Tabbruis closed Shane’s door, he heard him holler, “Thanks Dad, I love ya, man!”
Tabbruis just laughed and said to himself, “His Sandra has to be one smart lady to keep him in line.”

When the party drove up to Dmitri’s castle, it did not look like a castle at all. It looked like a sea-side villa. It was bright and airy with tons of lights and landscaping was stunning.

She asked Tabbruis what was the scent and he said, “The Black Sea is here my love, we will be living by the sea.” Charmeine began smiling from ear to ear. Tabbruis knew that the sea was as appealing to her as it was to him.

In amazement, Charmeine asked, “Why did you ever leave this place? It is wonderful, like a dream, like a fairy-tale!”
Tabbruis answered, “Because I needed you and our son.” He kissed Charmeine softly on the lips as they were walking up the drive. She melted into his arms.
A tall man with black hair tied back and built like a Roman God, started to walk towards the family. He greeted Tabbruis and Neal speaking Romanian. Then he stopped saying, “I am sorry Charmeine and Shane. I forgot about our American guests. Welcome to the castle.”
Tabbruis said with a huge smile, “Dmitri, this is Charmeine, my wife and my son, Shane.”

Dmitri bowed to her and Shane and put his hand out for a handshake. Shane shook Dmitri’s hand and Dmitri had a strange look on his face. Then Dmitri asked Tabbruis, “May I kiss the hand of the fair Charmeine?”
Tabbruis gave him a smirk and said, “If you must.”
Dmitri took Charmeine’s hand and placed a short kiss to it. His face became lifeless has he stood up. All of them noticed his change of countenance immediately.
Then Dmitri nodded to his assistant. Dmitri said, “Please feel at home here.” Like the wind, Dmitri was gone almost in an instant.
Charmeine thought Thomas, Dmitri’s assistant, was a nice looking young man about twenty-five, with sandy blonde hair, brown eyes and very muscular for his age. Thomas was very orderly and gave some quick information about the castle, like when meals were served, staffing, and luxuries they might indulge in.
Thomas showed them to their rooms which were richly and classically decorated. Shane, Neal, Tabbruis and Charmeine were all shown to one of the large wings of the castle. In the wing of the castle, each of them had their own sitting area, master bedroom and master bathroom with huge closets, terrace, and every electronic gadget available.
When Charmeine and Tabbruis came into their Master Suite, he put down the luggage, and reached for her. Tabbruis drew her into a deep kiss and it warmed her to the bottom of her soul. Charmeine knew anywhere was home in his arms.
Tabbruis whispered, “Welcome home, my love,” and she smiled. Tabbruis said, “There is a reason I picked this wing of the castle to live in. He went over to the patio doors and opened them up and the sea breeze rushed in with a flourish and dissipated. He guided her out the patio doors and said, “It was for the view.”
Charmeine shrieked, “Oh my God! Oh my God it’s stunning and breathtaking!” Charmeine saw the view and it overlooked the Black Sea and plum orchards. She could smell the rich aromas all around. Charmeine gasped, “Oh my God! Tabbruis, this is Heaven! If I lived here, I would never want to leave!”
Tabbruis was very happy. He knew Charmeine loved his home as much as he did. However, Tabbruis had to ask, “If you wish Charmeine, this can be your home too?”
Charmeine said, “We… we can live here?”
Smiling Tabbruis answered, “Yes, of course. Dmitri runs the castle, but I have made this my home at his invitation. We are in agreement about our family all living together.”
Charmeine’s eyes opened wide, “Shane can live here too with Sandra when she gets discharged?”
“Of course, it has all been arranged, that is… if you like it.” said Tabbruis.
Charmeine ran to Tabbruis and hugged him tightly almost tackling him in the process. She said, “Oh Tabbruis, this has got to be a dream. I have you, a family and a place to live. I believe I’ve died and gone to Heaven.”

Charmeine and Tabbruis Forever

Tabbruis hugged her tightly and said, “Charmeine all my wishes came true when I saw your face.” Tabbruis started to kiss her and she returned it in kind. He ran his hands all down her shoulders and back. Everywhere he touched her, she felt warmth. Tabbruis pulled away from Charmeine and said softly, “So you really do love it? Would you like to stay here and be with me?”
Melting into him, Charmeine smiled and replied, “God, yes Tabbruis. I love it, and I love you.”

Did you know that originally I wanted to make “The Light-Bearer Series” erotic? I actually wrote a lot of sex scenes but deleted about 10K words! I couldn’t do it, I mean… I couldn’t take a love so innocent, so pure and make it all about sex! Of course if I would have made it erotic, the series probably would have sold off the shelf!
Nevertheless, I wanted a classic story of a couple who were madly, passionately in love! In addition, they also had responsibilities of saving the world on their shoulders from the Evil and darkness. I sat in front of my laptop and just couldn’t expose Tabbruis and Charmeine in their most intimate world. I thought there were always novels people could read which provided that kind of entertainment, but “The Light-Bearer Series” I wanted something more… a lot more!
I wanted Tabbruis and Charmeine’s love story to be of love, acceptance of all, giving, understanding, self-sacrifice, service to a Higher Power, commitment and fervent devotion. In addition to action, adventure and good old ‘us’ against the world!

Tabbruis looked up and could tell she believed him. With his spirit acquiesced to what he must say, he looked at her and said, “Miss Davis, I am a Blood-Hunter. We call our kind Elders. Our race is very old. I did not even know there was anyone else like me, until I met another of my kind millennia ago.”
Her eyes went wide and she stuttered, “I… know you are telling me… the truth but…”

Tabbruis made fists with his hands, slammed them on his knees and stared into her bright brown eyes, “I drink blood to survive, like you eat food to survive. Elders or Blood-Hunters live on blood. After a time of total depraved treatment of humans showering carnage everywhere I went, I changed. I had a reckoning of my evil side. I swore never to drink human blood again unless it was donated. I mostly survive now on wild game. I try to stay away from heavily populated areas, so I can hunt big game.”
Tabbruis looked up to the ceiling struggling with the words to say next, “How can I convince you this is real? Heaven help me Miss Davis. I do not know what I have done to deserve such a scourge on my soul. I have no memory before my eyes opened on that rock.” Tabbruis hung his head.
Charleen scooted across the bed to sit in front of Tabbruis. She lifted his head so he would look into her eyes, and put her hands on his shoulders.
Tabbruis was shocked by her touch but he welcomed it. Her touch felt wonderful.
Charleen did not have any fear and she boldly asked him, “Do you want my blood now?”
Tabbruis’ eyes widened and the deep green hue bore into hers, “I would never hurt you! You must know that.” Inside Tabbruis’ heart was racing at the thought of tasting her blood, but he was going to protect her not hurt her.
Charleen said, “I know you are telling me the truth,” and she whispered, “I know you would never hurt me.”
Tabbruis looked at her intently and his heart warmed. He said, “Miss Davis, I said you were not my type because you were not a Blood-Hunter. Who am I to blame you if you doubt what I am saying to you is real? You are so innocent. I did not want you to know there was evil as myself in the world. I just did not want you know my secret shame. But now, I do not know what to do with all this!”
Tabbruis hung his head again.
Charleen lifted his chin and asked, “Why? What can you do? What is there to do?” Then she pulled away and took a breath. Charleen got up off the bed. Even though her head ached, she walked over to the terrace.
Tabbruis just put his head in his hands with his elbows on his knees. He had told her and thought, ‘What will she do? Will she run? Will she leave me?’ His heart started to ache. When he saw her in the parking lot, his heart came alive. Now, it seemed as it was breaking.
Charleen was confused but she knew he was telling her the truth. She let the wind whip her hair around her head and it cleared her mind. She was processing the last few minutes looking at the New York Harbor. Charleen felt a stab in her heart at the thought of ever leaving him. Then she said in soft murmur, “I am scared.”
Tabbruis’ sensitive ears heard her. He raced out to the terrace stood in front of her.
In a panic, he said, “I promise Miss Davis. I promise I will never hurt you. You are safe. I will protect you. Please do not be scared.”
Charleen shook her head yelled, “NO!” She hugged him tightly around the neck saying, “No! No! No!”
Tabbruis did not know what to do. He was looking at this delicate thing clinging to him for what seemed dear life itself, and his heart became overwhelmed.
Then as if Tabbruis was in a dream, his arms folded around her.
He hugged her tightly!
At that moment, Tabbruis’ heart started to beat loudly. This woman in his arms was the answer to all his prayers.
Tabbruis put his cheek against her forehead and said, “Shh, everything will be fine, shh.”
He wanted to hold her like that for an eternity. He drank in her warmth she radiated to him. She smelled like sun-drenched roses in a meadow. This heavenly creature filled the void, the blackness in his soul which had been there since the first minute he awoke on the Earth.
Tabbruis was lost in the feeling of having her in his arms and reveling in the sensation of her arms around him also.
Tabbruis had to tug himself into reality and said, “Miss Davis…”

She interrupted and said, “Charleen, my name is Charleen.”
Tabbruis smiled and said, “If you wish, you may call me Tab.”
As much as Tabbruis hated to, he pulled away from Charleen. It felt like he was walking in quicksand over to the patio door struggling not to turn around and hold her again. Her brightness intoxicated him. Her kindness warmed him. Her smile electrified him. Her touch… her touch aroused him.
Charleen was hurt he left her embrace. She let him be closer to her than any man had ever been before.
Charleen told herself she had to be more reserved. Getting down to business, she said, “Tab? Tab, do you know what happened tonight?”
Tabbruis started to pace and said, “Yes, I told you I am a Blood-Hunter.” He walked up and down the terrace a few times. Charleen watched him. He stopped in front of her and said, “You… Miss Davis… Charleen, I am quite sure you are a Light-Bearer.”
Charleen knew he was telling the truth but she shook her head and said, “What in the Hell is a Light-Bearer?”
Tabbruis answered, “Your kind… Light-Bearers are as old as the Blood-Hunters. Our races are mortal enemies of each other. My kind hunts and tracks your kind down and vice-versa. That is why you were able to injure the Blood-Hunter which attacked you. Your power, your light, can injure and kill us. The Elders want to rid the Earth of any threats to their power. Blood-Hunters are supposed to kill Light-Bearers!”

Charleen put her hands up and did not want to hear anymore.
Tabbruis knew he needed to tell her the whole story. He continued and said, “Now, looking into your eyes, I do not care about the consequences. However, even talking to you now and especially attacking the other Blood-Hunter tonight can sentence me to death. Letting you live is an abomination to the Elder Council. Nevertheless, I vow to protect you. A light such as yours should never be extinguished.”
Charleen’s eyes flew open and said, “Oh my God! No! No, I don’t want anything to happen to you because of me. I have to go now!”

She is shocked and he… is mesmorized!

She started to run away.
Tabbruis only drew her in a tight hug as if an urgent need to keep her body connected to his.
Tabbruis said to her, “I have been aimlessly walking the Earth for centuries but I am sure now God has given me the purpose of my very existence to protect you.”

Only a few moments in life are truly mesmerizing…
Reach for them…
Savor them…

“His Kiss” snippet from “CHARMEINE” which will be FREE on Amazon SAT and SUN!!!!

Tabbruis said, “If my words are not powerful enough to convince you, will this?” He stood Charmeine up and began to kiss her deeply. Tabbruis swooped and picked her up while still kissing her. Charmeine’s eyes flew open questioning him. Tabbruis gave her a look that he had no intention of stop kissing her now. He brought Charmeine into the bed and gently rolled her into it kissing her. Tabbruis’ hands were running up and down her back, it felt like she was drowning in his love. He would not release her from his kiss.
Tabbruis was answering all of Charmeine’s questions and erasing all her fears with his kiss. He took her hands put them beside her shoulders. Charmeine moaned as he flattened her palms against his and magically there was white light encircling them. Her eyes went open went she felt the warmth and tingles; they ran up and down up both of their bodies. Tabbruis softly growled.
Tabbruis moved on top of her. She thought that it felt good being under his strong muscular body. She finally felt calm and knew this was much was true, she couldn’t leave him, not now, not tomorrow… never. Charmeine was going to fight for her family with love.
Tabbruis could feel a change in Charmeine while he kissed her, she was relaxed and calm. Her peacefulness made him feel composed.
While the white light surrounded them, they both began to go into a dream state of consciousness.
Tabbruis and Charmeine both saw their Heavenly bodies walking and their baby, Shane, was in her arms. Shane became fussy and Tabbruis picked him up and cuddled him. Shane instantly calmed down. With a flash… they saw their regular bodies at the castle walking in a beautiful garden full of roses. In the present day dream, Charmeine stopped and was talking to Tabbruis. He became very happy and picked up Charmeine smiling from ear to ear. They were laughing and kissed, truly at peace with nothing but happiness in their hearts.

Charmeine and Tabbruis Forever

When the dream ended, Tabbruis finally released his hold on Charmeine. As he slipped beside her he took back his hands, they noticed the white light surrounding them dissipated. Tabbruis’ eyes were black with desire and he was panting the words, “Did you see what I saw?” Charmeine was breathing hard and whispered out a breathy response, “Yes!”
Charmeine swallowed and said in a whisper, “I’m not going to give up. I’m going to fight for our love Tabbruis. I now know we will defeat any enemy of God if we stand together. I believe it. Oh God, I truly believe it.”
