Happy New You Year!!!

2012 is coming, wish a happiness through this year. Like the other past years, I may not celebrate with party. I think i'm gonna evaluate 2011 resolution. I must be thankfull for which are accomplished. In the other side, there are any of things that haven't reached yet last year.

They will come to my sort of list in this year.

IMO, these chicklit cover so catchy. These are represent chicklit from their design, simple, feminime, adult but dynamic.

Platform Shoes

Kemarin saya ke sebuah mall di Senayan. Tau lah ya Jeng, kelebihan mall di sana, selain kita bisa ngeliat barang-barang yang bisa kita beli, mata kita juga bakalan terbetot ke benda-benda yang nggak boleh kita beli. Kemarin itu jeng, saya kok ngerasa ngeliat cewek-cewek di sana pada kompakan pake platform shoes, ya.

Mungkin buat Jeng-Jeng sekalian, ini bukan berita penting. Tapi buat saya… Platform shoes! Bayangkan platform shoes! Ini bikin emosi. Ada cerita miris tentang platform shoes itu dan saya.

Nih, beberapa bulan, bahkan tahun lalu kali ya, sejak platform shoes nongol di majalah, saya sudah kepincut. Desainnya lebih pintar daripada stiletto. Bentuknya pun lucu meski nggak seseksi stiletto.

Waktu itu belom banyak yang pakai kayak sekarang, belom tahu bakal jadi trend atau enggak. Saya nggak peduli trend juga sih, pokoknya saya pengen pake platform shoes waktu itu.

Lewat ITC, saya iseng nyari, belum ada yang jual. Emang belom pasaran, sih. Kalaupun ada, segelintir saja oknum penjualnya dan waktu itu sepatunya nggak pas di kaki saya. Pulanglah dengan tangan kosong. Besokannya, saya masih sering aja liat itu platform nongol di majalah mode.

Pas niatin mau hunting beneran, eh malah keingetan tanggapan manusia-manusia di sekeliling saya kalau saya pakai heels. Baik yang sirik atau yang berniat baik pasti protes. Bunyi, "Lu tinggi banget!" dengan berbagai nada pasti keluar. Akhirnya saya urung hunting, meski hati masih kepingin. Saya merasa nggak pantes pakai platform. Saya patah hati.

Makanya ketika ngeliat cewek-cewek di mall kemarin, saya ngerasa gemes banget. Mereka juga banyak yang aslinya lebih tinggi dari saya, lebih kurus juga loh Jeng! Tapi mereka cakep juga pakai platform itu di kakinya yang ramping. Waktu itu... Gimana ya rasanya, kayak kita habis nolak cowok yang kita pikir dia cupu, eh nggak tahunya besok dia nongol di majalah bisnis sebagai most wanted entrepreneur. Pokoknya ngerasa kecele deh, Jeng.

Kenapa juga waktu itu saya begitu ngedengerin orang lain. Apa salahnya keliatan tinggi banget, sih? Toh saya yang pake, kalo saya keserimpet, ya saya yang malu. Kalo saya dianggap galah buat ngambil rambutan, ya saya juga yang kesel, bukan orang lain.

Cewek-cewek ini juga kelihatan tinggi banget, tapi saya ngeliatnya baik-baik aja. Keren, kok, Jeng! Duh… kenapa dulu saya ngeliat platform ini dari pandangan orang lain, bukan pandangan saya sendiri.

Sekarang saya punya pandangan sendiri. Platform itu keren, buat saya pun keren, buat Jeng-Jeng sekalian juga keren. Tentu saja kalau saya harus milih yang modelnya pas. Soalnya betis saya kan tipis, kalo pake yang solnya keliatan tebel, kaki saya jadi kayak pake sepatu kuda aja.

Jadi, saya mau beli platform shoes! Kapan? kalo ada uang nanti. Nggak peduli lah kalaupun kelamaan dan majalah mode udah kembali ke balerina shoes. Ngga peduli masih trend apa enggak, selama saya masih suka, maka saya menganggap itu adalah trend, trend ala saya.

What makes this book so special is that the writer bravely opened his gloomy childhood. He seems so honest when narrated about his dirty house, cruel mother, alcohol addict father and rejected by his friends.

This book make me realize, that how children will be grow is depend on who's with him when he grow. With their terrible parent's Lewis growing as a misbehaving uncontrolled child. But there's a time when Lewis growing as a brave and well behave children as he was lived with his foster parents who treat him with love.

I do notice, it's difficult for us to judge which is wrong and right and how to handle every matter when our parent's, who supposed to be our best advisors, didn't even tell us what is that about.

This book has been adopted in film :)
