Murder World Is Out

So remember when I said thatKaiju Apocalypsewas on sale for $0.99 for the upcoming release ofMurder World: Kaiju Dawn? Well, that was one short wait, wasn’t it?

Well, the Kindle version ofMurder World: Kaiju Dawnis out and available now. Best of all, there was a slight cover change (I’m a horrible human being). You should buy this book. It has one of my favorite characters ever in it.

Price Drop

In anticipation of the release ofMurder World: Kaiju Dawn, Amazon is currently offeringKaiju Apocalypsefor a mere $0.99. That’s pretty awesome. You should totally buy it now that it’s cheaper than a crappy McDonald’s double cheeseburger (I think, I could be wrong about the price of a double cheeseburger and the quality of said item).

And if you’re wondering if I get less royalties at $0.99 than I did at $2.99, my response is “Basic math says yes. Basic economic suggests I will get more due to...

Memorial Day

Enjoy the day, and never forget.

In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break fai...

12 Hours

You know, before the Uncle Timmy Witch Hunt began, I was so pleased with yesterday. It had been a gorgeous day in which I accomplished quite a bit (wrote 4,500 words, continued working on fencing in the backyard, kept Sophie from killing a couple of snakes) and I took a picture of the sunset on the farm. Who knew what 12 hours could do?

Uncle Timmy and the Thought Police

I’m going to tell you a little story about a good man who has been slandered and libeled by one individual who is hiding behind the anonymity of the Internets. That good man? Tim “Uncle Timmy” Bolgeo.

You see, a pathetic troll whose name I’m not going to bother typing (because it’s a nickname that the individual hides behind because they’re afraid of owning up to their actions) has, after taking random snippets of conversations and tacky jokes that Uncle Timmy publishes on something called “Th...

Too Much Gloat

It never ceases to amaze me just how much an author will research just for one freaking line in a book…

I actually got to utter this sentence tonight while working onKaiju Armageddon. I mean, between researching the vagus nerve and then radio wave transmission to Ceres and the asteroid belt, I’ve really messed with the NSA tonight (oh, and my peek at where Camp David was on Google Maps probably made them squirm a bit as well). Ah well. I’d shout “For science!” but it’s more like “For Death and...

Lost Words

Yesterday I had this wonderful 1800 word update ready to go up and I promptly deleted it all by pushing the wrong button. Since I don’t type up blog posts first on a word document, then paste it here, everything was completely loss. Angered (at myself, because when I godumbass, I don’t do it by halves) I went ahead and just said “Screw it” and went to playWorld of Tanks instead. I felt a little better afterwards, but not that much.

Cover Reveal! Murder World: Kaiju Dawn

Similar in appearance toKaiju Apocalypse(but a different universe and story altogether, I promise)here is the rough draft cover forMurder World: Kaiju Dawn. Co-authored with Eric S. Brown again (we make quite the team — this is the third book we’ve collaborated on in the past 8 months), it should see a release over the next few weeks.

Sold! And Please Tip Your Waiter

That turnaround time has to be some sort of record.

Murder Worldhas a new title and a home.Severed Press(those who brought you Kaiju Apocalypseby myself and Eric S. Brown) bought it Wednesdaymorning (less than 12 hours after we finished it), and we decided to go with a different title. It’s nowMurder World: Kaiju Dawn.

Why did we do this, you ask? Well, two reasons. The first is marketing. WithMurder World, quite a few people asked me if I had written a Marvel novel. I had no idea that the name...

Murder World Complete

FinishedMurder Worldtoday. Clocking in at around 52,500 words, it’s quite frankly one hellishly fun and exciting book. I love each and every one of the characters, and whenever I killed one, I almost felt bad for them (almost… I’ve been watching a lot ofGame of Throneslately).

Right now the Super Awesome Beta Reader Team is currently tearing it apart, readying for their report about just how badly it sucks. I have awesome people, what can I say?

I also hope to have some very good news tomorrow...
