Blogged Elsewhere Today
Blogged this morning over at theMad Genius Club about trigger warnings (and my absolute and utter hatred of them).
I used .gifs. They’re enjoyable.

All About
First off, I wanted to thank everyone who bought a copy ofKaiju Apocalypsethis weekend. Cracking the Top 100 in multiple genres was… well, it blew my mind. The sales are still going (#18,000 or so last I checked… if you bought it, by the way, have you reviewed it yet? That helps even more!), and you can still buy it and cause it to jump in the rankings, but I wanted to thank you for helping make me squee like a Chibi girl seeing Japanese tentacle porn for the first time.
Too much? Too soon?

Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy — Sam Schall’s “Vengeance From Ashes”
I’ll be reviewing this SF novel next week (probably Monday) but I wanted to give this one a “shout out” right now. Oh, and quit judging books by their covers. It’s rude.
This is one of those military SF novels that grabs you and won’t let go. I’ve taken my time reading it these past few days, savoring every page. It’s a good book, and reminds me quite a bit of Robert Heinlein’sThe Moon Is A Harsh Mistress. You should go and buy this book on Amazon right now. Really. Rightnow.
Consider this book...
Kaiju Day 2
So one of my friends posted the following on Facebook:
Hey folks, does your life not have enough excitement? wah wah music plays> Do you long for the days of being able to pick up a book and lose yourself in the heroic struggles of man against 300 ft. tall alien/dragon/dinosaur things? Was ‘Pacific Rim’ a religous experience?
Then what the hell are you waiting for? Click, don’t drag, over to your local Amazon website! You too can own your very own, extremely handy copy of Kaiju Apocalypse!

It’s Here!
Big news today!
Kaiju Apocalypseis out and available via ebook over on Amazon. Best part about this? Amazon Prime members get it for free!
Yeah, thought that would get your attention.
So go forth, buy it, pay for my kitties’ kibble (and Sophie’s treats).
If you don’t, you probably don’t love kitties and puppies and, more than likely, hate rainbows and jelly beans too.

Coming Soon
Final proof copy ofKaiju Apocalypsewas turned in late last night (I think I finished going over it at around 0045). There were some formatting issues (what is it with me and screwed-up formatting?) but nothing I couldn’t handle. It should be out any day now in ebook format (and maybe print). It’ll be my first novella as well, which is something I suppose.
Still waiting to hear back onWraithkin. I’m actually working on the sequel (Darkling) andMurder Worldsimultaneously right now.Murder Worldis...

Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy — Brandon Ford’s “Open Wounds”
I need to dress up in the most over-the-top caricature of a pimp, take a picture, and have one day every week where the “Book Pimp” pimps out a new author’s work. I’m picturing a gold came, platform shoes (with goldfish inside them), feather boa, large hat, maybe a bright purple suit and… hmm… rose-tinted glasses?
Pimps still wear those, right?
This week I’vealreadypimped out Barb Caffrey’s newest book,An Elfy on the Loose, and now I’m pimping out Brandon Ford’s upcomingOpen Wounds. I’ll be rev...

Book Release!
No, not for me, actually. Kaiju Apocalypsewill be coming out soon, I promise.
My friend (and regular commentator here, as well as reviewer over atShiny Book Review) Barb Caffrey’s debut novel,An Elfy on the Loose, came out the other day and… I completely forgot to mention it. I’m horrible. Basically, this is a quirky little urban fantasy novel (well, not so little. It’s almost 400 pages) and that I think that many people who like Seanan McGuire’s InCryptidseries would enjoy this one. It’s a du...

Quick Breath
Working onMurder Worldtoday. I think Eric and I have had a breakthrough with this novel. Hopefully it’ll be done by June. It’s about 1/4 to 1/3 done at the moment. Just coming up for air. I’ll have a new review coming up on SBR tonight as well.
I’m not surewhatbook, mind you. But it’ll be a book.
