Look at this guy's obliques (sides). Not even a hint of fat. Straight down. If this photo isn't retouched, that is amazing.

One Good Thing
I started out the day in a miserable state. Just awful. Awful, horrible, wretched, and awful. It was so hot and humid I could barely move. Aside from the fact that I have no AC, my condition - cavernous himangiomas - causes extreme fatigue in me when it gets too hot. I was feeling absolutely useless until around noon. It was then that a summer thunderstorm swept through the area like a cold press from god. The winds and rain felt so good it was almost naughty.

One Good Thing
Thievery. That's what it comes down to. I've had my Sunday stolen - thieved - by Stieg Larsson and his intricate and exciting book "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Think Ingmar Bergman meets Thomas Harris. I'm not finished with it yet, but I'm getting close. A very exciting novel! And I don't feel so bad about reading because it's too damn hot to be outside. There's already a Swedish film version of the book, and the American version has names like Daniel Craig, Carey Mulligan, and Brad Pit...

One Good Thing
I was awakened this morning by one hell of a storm. It was in the wee early hours when it started rumbling through, and I had my windows down because it's hot as all hell and I have no air conditioning. Now, I'm not scurred of thunder, but lightning FREAKS ME OUT. My bed is right by the window too, so I'm thinking that all some evil lightning bolt has to do is find its way, and POOF! The world is less one Arvin.

One Good Thing
I've been growing my hair extra shaggy this year. I haven't had it cut since January. So today I decided to have it thinned out, but kept the length. If I'm not careful my hair will take on a life of its own. It's very thick and has a lot of body. So much so that in order to tame it I put on a hat after I shower. I like the shaggier look, but I might be too old to pull it off successfully. My hairdresser, Nina, said I looked like a little boy. Well, at least my looks are going in the right di...
