One Good Thing
I woke up this morning and thought, "I don't have to get out of bed. I'm a writer. I make my own hours. I could stay here all day." Of course, I never would, but the idea always teases me. When I wake up with that odd relaxed feeling, and the fan is blowing over me, and it's a grey shoulder-slumped morning, the temptation is to just lay still and go back to sleep. Film By Association
Taking a break from writing. Thought I'd play a game:
THE COLOR PURPLE is one of my favorite films
PURPLE NOON is a 1960 French film based on a novel by Patricia Highsmith
The same novel was adapted to THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY in 1999
"Ellen Ripley" is Sigourney Weaver's character in ALIEN, aboard the ship NOSTROMO
NOSTROMO is a novel by Joseph Conrad, who also wrote HEART OF DARKNESS, the basis of APOCALYPSE NOW
HEARTS OF DARKNESS is a documentary about the making of APOCALYPSE NOW
WHITE HUNTER BLACK...

Varla Jean Merman, Stonewall
I've already posted this (this day, last year), but it's worth a re-post. I mean, it's Varla Jean!!

One Good Thing
On this day, some forty years after Stonewall, what I was most impressed by when clicking around the net was the voice of the LGBT movement. We're everywhere, calling attention to not only how far we've come since June 1969, but how far we still have to go. It's actually quite inspirational when you see so many people, both gay and straight, out in the streets, demanding equality. The Land of the Free? Prove it, is what they're saying. It's times like this when the spirits of all those who ha...

The Extra Man, Trailer
I've missed Kevin Kline. I haven't seen him in many films lately. This looks very funny:
