TRANSGRESSION TRANSFORMATION

TRANSGRESSION TRANSFORMATION

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.  – Psalm 103:12 NKJV

And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.  – Psalm 139:24

Time and space (distance) are in perfect continuum.  When God says He has removed our transgression from all distance, east to west, He is also saying redemption overcomes all time, from the beginning to the end.  From our firmament or perspective, the north and south have ending points, the poles.  But the east and the west do not.

Why would the Lord specifically remove our sins and throw them as far as the east is from the west—a picture of eternal separation?  Because He wants them removed completely so we cannot pick them back up again.  When Jesus removes them, He removes them for all time and space.

There is nothing created that redemption doesn’t change.  Redemption is what happens when Jesus steps onto any scene and has His amazing way.  It’s what He brings every time to everything in time.

When redemption changes the time, redemption changes everything within that time from a curse to a blessing.

Redemption also changes lost people to family, hated people to celebrated, and wicked people to holy.  Redemption changes leprous bodies to perfect human specimens.  Redemption brings enslaved people into freedom and transforms dead things into living things.

Declaration: I know God has redeemed my soul.  The wicked and sinful nature of man no longer has control over my life, I have been transformed by the blood of King Jesus.  Thank You for redeeming my past, present, and future, Lord.

YOUR HARVEST

YOUR HARVEST

Laziness casts one into a deep sleep, And an idle person will suffer hunger.  – Proverbs 19:15 NKJV

Did you know that God expects a harvest?  I’m very driven, and it’s not the law, it’s the love.  The Lord expects a harvest out of Troy Brewer.  He expects a harvest out of our church, and He expects a harvest out of my marriage, out of my family life, out of my thought life.  That has been how God has changed my life and my view of how things work.

There’s something really appealing about laziness in that we think that being idle or not moving around is the luxury of being able to take a nap.  Guys, let me say this: being idle is not about being able to rest. We are commanded to rest. Being idle means that you’re not moving forward and that’s where the curse is.

Everything that is of God transitions into the next level.  It’s a curse to not move to the next level.  The harvest moves from 30-fold to 60-fold to 100-fold.

You need to make sure you keep your passion for King Jesus and for the harvest He expects from you.  You don’t want to fall into the trap of just getting along to get by and not doing anything for the Kingdom.  I encourage you to ask God what He wants your harvest to be and then chase after it.

Declaration: I will keep my passion for King Jesus and gladly work for the harvest He expects from me.  I will not fall into the trap of getting along to get by.  Lord, I want to give You the harvest you expect from me.

STEWARDS NOT OWNERS

STEWARDS NOT OWNERS

Guys, you gotta believe that you and I are not owners of anything. Jesus Christ owns everything. There is a reckoning that is coming when you say, “You know this is mine, right?”

The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him. Psalms 24:1 NLT

I would also say a temporary accountable charge is something that you and I need to be thinking about.  It means that just because I don’t own it doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be held accountable for it. I have a temporary accountable charge by King Jesus Himself concerning every single thing that He has trusted me with. That includes the thoughts in my head, the things within my heart, my walk with God, my finances, the fights that I fight, my relationships, the battlefields that I get on, and how I drive home today. I have a temporary accountable charge, and I have been given it from King Jesus Himself. One of the things that I can say about God Almighty being the Owner and you and I just being the steward is that we need to know the vineyard belongs to the Lord. The workers belong to the Lord. The harvest belongs to the Lord.

When it comes to every parable that is about how all of this works, it all belongs to the Lord. And I would say the day is going to come when I’m going to have to give my life back to King Jesus. Unless, you know, the trumpet blows. I’m going to have to give my life back to the Lord. And the Lord is going to say, “Troy, this is what I gave you.” I cannot give Him the same thing He handed to me back to Him.

For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.  And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ Matthew 25:29-30 NKJV

Declaration: I am grateful for the amazing things God has brought into my life. Today will be a day of praise for all He has done and all the opportunities He has given me. I will use everything I have to honor Him and accept the temporary accountability charge He has given me to take care of all He has entrusted to me.

HAGGLING

HAGGLING

Sooner or later, we all discover that God does not ask too much. Is there a price we have to pay? Yes, there is. It is a lifetime of choosing the things of God rather than what we or anybody else tells us we should want. We must commit to being passionate about our relationship with Christ and to keep growing and learning.

We have to do things we don’t want to do and walk away from things our flesh cries out for. We are asked to be people we know we are incapable of being. However, the promise of God is that, with God, all things are possible.

We are asked to keep our mouths shut when we are capable of chewing up our opponent and spitting them out. We are asked to speak up and be counted when we would rather fade into the background like the lobster in the restaurant aquarium.

So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere. Luke 9:6 NKJV

Jesus sent His first followers out to preach and heal everywhere. It was not an easy assignment. We are asked to be committed to the Body of Christ when we don’t feel like giving, getting up, or putting up with sister Suzie Rottenheart. We want to bargain for the life God has given us – to make a deal. We need to be careful of this mentality because it screams that we are getting ripped off when nothing could be further from the truth.

Declaration: Jesus shed His priceless blood so I can be part of His family, the Church.  I pray for unity in the Church.  I love the people in the Church and support our missions.

CHURCH FILLED WITH GRACE

I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. – John 9:4-5 NKJV

The church is continuing the work of our Lord today.  That was His plan, and He sent His Spirit to light our world and guide us in all we are to do.

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. – John 14:12 NKJV

We have some scary-looking stuff in our world today that we will have to overcome. But so did Jesus when He was here on Earth.

There is one word that expresses God-given ability to overcome something, and church folk use it all the time without really understanding what it means – grace. Anytime you see grace, God likes to stamp the number five all over it.

The ultimate of all overcoming power is the God-given ability to get back up out of a grave once you’ve been buried in it. Jesus has given us that ability. He marked that ability when He was pierced in five places on the cross: both hands, both feet, and His side. He overcame the cross and the grave. Those of us who are in Him also have the promise of the same thing because of His grace.

Declaration: My life abounds with grace because of my Savior and His love for me.  I am an overcomer who is working with Jesus’ church to overcome the works of darkness and advance His kingdom.

A TALE OF TWO KINGS

You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created. Revelation 4:11 NKJV

When James King got up that Wednesday morning, he had a word and a mission. “God is going to help me find that little girl today.”

Four days earlier, a little girl named Nadia Bloom had gone missing without a trace of evidence as to where she could be. There were endless miles of Florida swamp nearby, and friends and family knew Nadia had mild autism. They hoped she had wandered off and simply gotten lost.  “At this point, it would be a miracle,” the authorities said.

That afternoon, 911 received a call from James King. “I have found the missing girl, Nadia.” he said.

What CBS called The Miracle in the Swamp was soon broadcast throughout the world. Nadia was covered in mosquito bites and dehydrated, but she was fine.

An awkward kind of guy, King sat in nice chairs in front of huge cameras, holding a Bible.  “God led me to her. He told me to recite Proverbs three and call out her name.”

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path. That’s what I did, and I found her.

I know another King who searches for and finds lost people. This King is also a miracle worker. This King is willing to go where no one else is willing to go to rescue the hurting and save the lost. His name is Jesus.

Remember, He made everything, even swamps.  He knows the way because He knows more than we possibly can.

Declaration: My God has created all things.  He knows all things, and He loves me and tells me what He wants me to know.

HE’S NOT DONE YET

HE’S NOT DONE YET

And the Lord said to him: “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built to put My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.  I Kings 9:3 NKJV

God did not create the universe and then step away and leave it to chance. He prewired the universe to continue to create, never stopping and always moving forward. What really makes my heart beat is that you and I are the greatest part of that creation!

You are His creation, and you must move forward from here.  You will not be happy staying where you are, the way you are. Everything is not yet created in your life.

God didn’t used to be the Creator. The Creator is who He is.

He made you to long for an upgrade.  He longs for your upgrade. That is God’s heart, and He wants you to know His heart.

You are a magnificent work in progress, learning to look much more like your destiny than your history. Think about that and go ahead and say, “Wow!”

. . being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; Philippians 1:6 NKJV

From a created earth with endless possibilities, God formed us and, coded our DNA to be attracted to the next level and improvement.

Declaration: Today, I desire perfect completion in all areas of my life. I have a Father who wants it as much as you do. I will let Him lead me to completion.

LABOR’S PAYDAY

LABOR’S PAYDAY

For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God. 1 Thessalonians 2:9 NKJV

The apostle Paul worked as a tentmaker – a hard job with little pay. He did it so he could afford to work at his real job – preaching the gospel.

I once worked for a national rent-to-own outfit as a glorified repo man. The money was good, and the opportunity for ministry was even better. God took me into the homes of the poorest of Ft. Worth’s poor to show me what a difference mercy and compassion made in the lives of really poor people. He was preparing me to be a pastor.

I would knock on a door at 7:00 a.m. and a sleepy-eyed single mom would open the door. I would say, “I’m here to pick up our refrigerator.” She explained her kid’s milk and meat for supper were in there.

I explained she had broken her contract. I was polite, even sympathetic, but I firmly said, “I am here to take the refrigerator.”

I can’t tell you how hard it was to wheel past those kids without saying anything. The worst thing I could have said was something like “God bless you” or “Jesus loves you.” It was important to keep my mouth shut and do my job professionally.

Imagine how effective it was to show up at that house when I was off work with a good, used refrigerator that Leanna and I bought from a second-hand store. Imagine the surprise on that momma’s face when I explained to her that earlier, I was there in the name of my company, but this time, I was there in the name of Jesus. The refrigerator was a free gift, “just like Jesus,” I would say. Then, you can believe that a move of God would follow.

How does your work let you be a witness to Jesus and bear Kingdom fruit?

Declaration: I am in the world to be a witness to Jesus.  Holy Spirit leads me in the way to bring glory to Jesus and bear fruit for the Kingdom.

BEARING A HARVEST OF FRUIT

Next to understanding the Gospel of Salvation, grasping the full meaning of Jesus’ Gospel of the Kingdom is critically important for believers. It is a pivotal step on life’s journey, enabling them to live in alignment with Jesus’s Words and Ways and fulfill God’s purpose in their personal lives. You and I, as Kingdom people, have got to understand that the Lord is the Lord of the Harvest. King Jesus expects a return on His amazing investment.

This is a fundamental thing that you and I need to know. As soon as we understand what salvation is all about, we need to understand that seed, time, and harvest are tremendous principles of how the Kingdom works. The Bible says that Jesus himself declares that this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the earth, and then Jesus Christ will come back.

“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22 NKJV

Today, the world is full of men and women of God who have no passion, no ability to overcome, no vision, and no motivation; they are just comfortable Kingdom people who just cannot see the Harvest. When I was a little boy, my stepdad had a great big farm south of Alvarado, Texas, and we worked on that farm. I want to just tell you that you didn’t go out there to play in the woods. You didn’t go out there to mess around. You went out there to work hundreds and hundreds of acres.  It didn’t matter if you were five years old or if you were 75 years old; as soon as you got out there, everybody started working towards the same goal.  You had to be self-motivated, and you all had the same goal. The goal was this: there has to be a harvest. There has to be!  Make this ninth month, September, your month to learn how to produce an abundance of fruit for a Kingdom Harvest.

Declaration: I live with gratitude in my soul because Jesus died to set me free and give me eternal life. Because He loves me, and I love Him, I will be intentional about yielding an abundant harvest for my Lord.

SPIRITS OF GOD

SPIRITS OF GOD

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.  The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.  – Isaiah 11:1-2 NKJV

King Jesus is the end all be all bad motor scooter when it comes to how a believer should act.  God has placed His seven Spirits upon His perfect Son.  These seven Spirits are the Spirit of the Lord, Spirit of Wisdom, Spirit of Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel, the Spirit of Might, Spirit of Knowledge, and the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.

By delving into the Bible every day, you will be able to tap into whatever Spirit you need when facing a problem.  Remember, our Lord is Alive and He is readily available to you during every little thing that goes on in your life.

He is your greatest supporter and your greatest counselor!  If you read the Word and keep a close relationship with King Jesus, you have everything you need to deal with life until He returns!

Declaration: I will read my Bible every day and keep in continual communication with King Jesus.  I will remember that no matter what I face, I am not alone because He is with me.
