The grandson thought about it for a minute, then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The wise old chief replied, “The one you feed.”

What wolf have you been feeding? Just know the wolf of evil thoughts will eventually devour you, and likely others as well. Thoughts become actions, and there is always collateral damage.

Time for Truth

September 28, 2025 – 09/28/2025
9 – Fruit Bearing (+) Judgment (-)
28 – Times & Seasons
Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28 NLT
Time for Truth
Reality TV is anything but real. In this generation that is exchanging truth for a lie and good for evil, drama is also being swapped for reality and being labeled as “good.” A good example is Bruce Jenner, an Olympic decathlon hero, exchanging his male body for breasts and a feminized face. With it, he exchanged the name Bruce for “Caitlyn,” a name that means “purity.”

Why? Jenner told Vanity Fair magazine, a prophetic “circus of worthlessness,” that as Bruce, he was always telling lies, but as Caitlyn, he doesn’t have any lies. Mind you, he says this while trying to keep his male genitalia from spilling out of his satin corset, and nobody questions it! Nobody points out how ridiculous the whole notion is because selfish drama is celebrated as “courageous” and “authentic” in our pop culture.

What’s wrong with this? The truth is, there are no lies with what he says if you simply reverse the meaning of the word “truth” and the meaning of the word “lie.” The book of Romans tells us about people who do this, and apparently, Paul was talking about us.

“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator.” Romans 1:25

Today, anything dramatic that makes you feel good through selfish ambition is called “good.” It will be celebrated even if destructive. However, it’s not celebrated in heaven.

I am not bothered by Jenner’s lifestyle or his decisions about his own body. He will stand before God and answer for that on his own. I feel no need to protest him, to be mean, or anything other than respectful if I ever meet him. I do object to the evil of society’s mandate that demands I call his lifestyle pure. God demands I do the opposite. I would much rather be on God’s side than on the side of Hollywood. Are you on the side of right?

I Hear His Heartbeat

September 27, 2025 – 09/27/2025
9 – Fruit Bearing (+) Judgment (-)
27– Things Unveiled and Revealed in His Presence & Light of Truth
The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense. Proverbs 27:9 NLT
I Hear His Heartbeat
The passionate heart of your King will never be satisfied with mediocre. When you fight for the heart of the King, you fight for greatness within your own life.

Jesus did not live and die on this earth for you to live a defeated, insignificant life – to attend church on Sundays, maybe a Bible study during the week, and never let the Word change you or His awesome presence permeate you.

He’d love you and treat you like a king if that was all you did, but it wasn’t His mission.

The Christian life is not a vacation. It is a battle for the heart of the King to be made manifest in your life. I want to encourage you to become who He has called you to be. “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:14

The masses are invited, but few people have actually accepted the call to move forward with God’s plan for their fullest potential. They need to grasp the Word His supernatural heart says to us: “Permission granted.”

If you accept this calling and move forward, submitting and conforming your life to the image of His plan, you no longer find yourself in shameful places.

“Instead of their shame, my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace, they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.” Isaiah 61:7

Which Wolf Do You Feed?

26– Beloved
If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels. Luke 9:26 NLT
Joy Filled Service
How badly do you want to reach your potential and fulfill your true purpose in life? How real is your desire to be clean, victorious, and full of the peace of God? Know this: God has some terrible things on a leash that want to invade your space and chew you to pieces.

If you refuse to serve God the way He wants you to, He will eventually let go. On the other end of that leash are terrible masters – depression, envy, anger, lust, addiction, financial woe, ego – who are crying out to rule over you. Don’t ask for them!

See, tyrants are not just dictators. Tyrants are spirits that hold your heart captive. They tell you to be stressed out and full of anger. They are circumstances that incarcerate your free time and never allow you to love your family or have peace.

A tyrant can also be an unbelievable disgrace or an embarrassment that will imprison your goals and dreams. It can enslave an entire family to the regime of drug abuse, pornography, depression, failure, and spiritual bankruptcy.

These are the things He is holding back from you because you have decided to serve Him. You do not want Him to let go. So, what is God looking for? Service? Yes, but service with a smile. Stay in His service and be happy about it, because if you leave the reservation, you will walk out from under His protection.

God is looking for people who are happy they answer to His authority. Who are delighted and feel fortunate to be part of His Kingdom and the service to others. Service with a glad heart is not unreasonable for God to expect.

God doesn’t love a giver. He loves a cheerful giver. Do you want to experience the love of God? Be a cheerful giver. Hand down a blessing instead of a curse.

Which Wolf Do You Feed?

Promised Goodness

September 25, 2025 – 09/25/2025
9 – Fruit Bearing (+) Judgment (-)
25 – Grace for Grace
Our ancestors captured fortified cities and fertile land. They took over houses full of good things, with cisterns already dug and vineyards and olive groves and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate until they were full and grew fat and enjoyed themselves in all your blessings. Nehemiah 9:25 NLT
Promised Goodness
Nobody gets the best of what God has for them without going through all three stages of progression – Egypt, the Wilderness, and the Promised Land. Nobody.

For the people of God who are being led by the Good Shepherd, it is a guaranteed fact that Jesus will take you from one stage to another in every area of your life. If you stop progressing, it’s not because He stopped leading you into better things. That’s just not His style.

“Of the increase of his government and peace, there shall be no end…” Isaiah 9:7

The Lord wants more for you. He waits and hopes for you to go after it because He loves to see you grow and progress in His perfect plan for you. “Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop – some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.” Mark 4:20

What is the crop? PEOPLE – LOST PEOPLE! To be a 100-fold Christian, you need to be sowing the Word into hurting people and helping them find Jesus. That is the ultimate plan for your life, though there are many ways to go about it.

You can witness through your work, school, relationships, ministry or missions work, your giving, your sending – send or go, aspire to be 100-fold! Brag on Jesus. Tell others what He has done for you.

Perfect Atmosphere
I have noticed goodness likes to show up in a mess. The deal is, once goodness is engaged in the chaos that is us, the mess is no longer the issue.

That’s because goodness is like a thermostat. It can’t help but change the atmosphere. You see, unlike a thermometer which only measures the temperature, God’s goodness is a thermostat. It not only measures the “temperature” of the atmosphere, it changes and resets the tone of a situation, and the tone of your life – permanently.

That’s why at the beginning – the creation story – at the end of every day, God said, “It is good.” Goodness is always the catalyst for transition. That’s where transformation begins – God’s goodness pouring out on you. It’s what sends you on your journey with Him.

Are you stuck in a rut along your path with Jesus? If it’s been a long time since you’ve seen transformation in your life, turn up the heat by pouring out the goodness of God onto others. The Lord will reset your thermostat to a new level of goodness in your life each time you turn up the amount of goodness you demonstrate.

Father God likes it when His kids are thermostats. “And you answered me and said, ‘The thing which you have told us to do is good.’ Deuteronomy 1:14

Which Wolf Do You Feed?

The Cherokee nation knew it, too. Check out this spot-on tribal tale:

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life. He told the boy, “A terrible fight is going on inside me. It is a fight between two wolves. One wolf is evil. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and self-doubt."

The old man continued: “The other wolf is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” He then told the boy, “This same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person, too.”

“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” Mark 9:23 NLT
Believing Big
The wilderness is the place where you learn to live with God, day in and day out. It’s an ugly place because you and I try to take control there. The whole point of the wilderness is to learn to give up control.

When God shows up in your wilderness, amazing things happen. He says, “You don’t need to do anything because I’m going to do everything for you.”

You have only one responsibility in the wilderness: stay close to His side. Why is it so hard? Why do you want to run off and do things your way?

You and I love Egypt. It’s all you’ve ever known. Yes, you were a slave there, but it was familiar, so you long for the way it was. You run back to Egypt in your finances, marriage, relationships, work, or ministry. The cycle never stops, and you soon realize that light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train.

Stop! You have a heavenly Father who wants to supply all – and that means ALL – of your needs. He is rich beyond measure and merciful without end. Learn to let Jesus supply all you need.

Where you were once a slave, you are now part of God’s family. Family is welcome at the table where you no longer eat scraps, but the best the King can offer. You are free to follow Him or go your own way. Just a tip, you’re way isn’t the best way.

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

Which Wolf Do You Feed?

Wow, I’m a King’s Kid!

September 22, 2025 – 09/22/2025
9 – Fruit Bearing (+) Judgment (-)
22 – Personal Revelation
Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment. Matthew 9:22 NLT
Wow, I’m a King’s Kid!
Have you ever mapped out the things you are determined to highly value? If not, let me tell you, it’s an important step to Kingdom upgrade.

Here’s where to start: determine that you are going to make a big deal out of what God makes a big deal out of. You are going to line your heart up with His. It’s all about the atmosphere of your life. This is the place where you begin to map out your core values with your own, unique destination and purpose.

Eliminate the things that don’t fit. Chisel away the things that don’t look like God’s plan for your life. Then, turn up the fire and crank up the volume on the areas of your life that fit in with Kingdom living. At first, it might just be a few words or “headlines,” but ask the Holy Spirit to help you articulate more.

Maybe your headline is “supernatural,” but you’re not sure what that goes with. Have the honor of kings and search out the matter. Pretty soon, you’ll have a complete thought like, “I value the supernatural side of God in me because I choose not to live a powerless life.”

A headline like “forgiving” could easily turn into “I choose to be forgiving like Jesus because I choose not to be bitter.” Or, “I value, celebrate, encourage, and practice forgiveness because I know God values restoration over punishment.”

I dare you to record some headlines or declarations about what you will value. Yes, it’s a work in progress. However, you need a starting point. Remember, this is step one in taking charge of your atmosphere.

Don’t let the prince of the power of the air have your thoughts, attitude, or values. Give it to the Prince of Peace by mapping out a plan that parallels His. You won’t regret it. “Whatever is born of God overcomes the world.” – 1 John 5:4

Which Wolf Do You Feed?

20 – Waiting & Expectancy
When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I too lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who are under the law. 1 Corinthians 9:20 NLT
Home in Our Hearts
Some of my favorite memories are of seeing my family after a long trip overseas. Once, I spent a month in India. When I got to DFW, my wife, four kids, and many friends from church were there to welcome me home. It was hard not to bawl and squawl. It was a hero’s welcome, and I’ll never forget it.

When I think of homecomings, I just can’t help but think about Heaven. I have had the privilege of preaching at funerals for some very close friends. To me, they were more like a homecoming.

Know this: Heaven is not a place you go after you leave home. Heaven is the home you go to after you leave this place.

I still think about my dear friend and personal secretary, Paula Ledbetter. She died at the age of 37, leaving behind a loving husband and three sons. As tragic a loss as it was for us left behind, there was no doubt Paula had graduated with honors and gone home to her reward. Over 600 people attended her funeral, and many met Jesus Christ for the first time that day.

I hope you live life in a way that people know you’re a Jesus freak with a heavenly destination. Your homecoming could give orphans a home. Paula’s sure did. She was truly a hero of the faith. Are you?

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. – John 14:2-3

Which Wolf Do You Feed?
