HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE BLESSED?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

While I live in eternity and Am not subject to time, you are. Time is a safety net I use to keep you from being overwhelmed with My enormity and complexity. Invite Me into your time – past, present and future. I will not only accept, I will bless you.

HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE BLESSED?

There’s a word that gets thrown around in church a lot that people don’t understand. Oh, they smile and act like they know what it means, but they don’t. Most pastors don’t have a clue so I’ll make it simple for you all today: Whenever you intentionally go after the Kingdom, that’s called consecration.

In the book of Exodus, Moses commanded the children of Israel to get themselves consecrated.

“…Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD…that He may bestow upon you a blessing this day.” – Exodus 32:29

When you seek after God in an incredible way, there are things God doesn’t teach you because He gives them to you. So much of the power of God is not taught, it’s caught.

You have to be at the right place at the right time. You have to accept the appointment. You meet God at a certain time in a certain place and there’s a certain conversation you’re going to have. He’s going to give you a download or an upgrade just because you consecrated yourself to being obedient.

What do you need to get purposeful about? Your marriage or family relationships? Do you need to get consecrated over your finances, business or ministry? Whatever it is, you need to get serious about it and pursue the Kingdom until God bestows – or gives – you a blessing over that thing.

My friend, standing still is going backward. I’ve told you many, many times that comfort kills because it does! It kills hopes, dreams, faith, and upgrade because you were not made to be comfortable. You were made to be consecrated.

You were designed to be an overcomer and a warrior, and that takes guts. It takes grit and action. Do you have what it takes to be blessed?

A GLIMPSE OF THE GLORY

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I want dominion in every part of your life. When I rule and reign in your relationships, you will draw people to Me. When I rule and reign in your finances, ministry or job, you can sow into My Kingdom. My peace will be with you.

A GLIMPSE OF THE GLORY

I’m going out on a limb today because I’m just blown away with the majesty of God. The book of Ephesians says best what I want you to understand.

“I pray that you would know what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe…” – Ephesians 1:19

“I pray that you would know…” Know what? That you know through experience what you don’t know through wise words.

There’s something else the Bible talks about that is absolutely indescribable and it’s the majesty of God. Any time you look at the majesty of God, it’s how He rules and reigns, and He rules and reigns way different than anybody else.

He rules and reigns, not by being the toughest because it’s obvious He already is the toughest – not through being the most powerful because He already is the most powerful. He rules and reigns through peace.

Crazy! Absolutely crazy! While the Bible says our enemy, the devil, is the prince of the power of the air – he likes to stir up hell in the atmosphere – Jesus is just the opposite. He’s the Prince of Peace. Where He has dominion, there’s no drama!

Is there drama in your life? Are there places where it’s more like hell than heaven? You need to let Jesus rule and reign in that place. Tell Him, “King Jesus, I believe. I pray that I would know the exceeding greatness of your power.” He’ll show up, I promise you, He will give you a glimpse of the glory.

EACH AND EVERY TIME

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I love prophetic acts. When you are unashamed to pursue My love and power in creative ways, I take notice. I celebrate. Bring a smile to My face and dive into the prophetic. It’s the deeper waters in which My Spirit can be found.

EACH AND EVERY TIME

So many people don’t understand this: You only need to get saved once. Once you’re in the Lamb’s Book of Life, you’re in. Being saved ain’t baptism. I don’t care if you get baptized a hundred times. It’s up to you.

“Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.” – 1 Corinthians 10:1-2

If you want to know what baptism is all about, this is what baptism is all about: You’ve been a slave and how you’re free. Yes, baptism is about you being a slave to something and God giving you the grace to walk away from that thing and into freedom.

The children of Israel were slaves and one day their deliverer showed up. Because they applied the blood of the Passover lamb they were saved. Remember this: the saving part happened at Passover.

They leave Egypt but when they get to the ocean, the same devils that owned them before chased them saying, “Who do you think you are? Where do you think you’re going? I own you.” It was then that the Red Sea parted and they went down into the water.

The evil dictator and the devils that had always owned them chased them into the water. The Israelites came up out of the water and the devil – the Egyptians – remained. That’s what baptism is all about. Amen.

What owns you? Addiction, anger, adultery? Are you plagued by fear, finances or failure? Take those devils in the water and come up free on the other side and know this: you can do this as many times as you like! The Bible doesn’t have a limit on the number of times you can declare freedom from what’s enslaving you.

God loves a prophetic act and that’s what baptism is – a prophetic act you can do as many times as you want and God smiles on that, He honors that. Saved and need freedom? Baptism is for you each and every time you need it.

REDEMPTION SONG

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I not only spoke the universe into existence, I sang it into being. You and your life are part of that melody. Listen closely. Do you hear My voice? Echo back My words of life so that others will hear and believe.

REDEMPTION SONG

There are eight verses in the Bible that specifically talk about having “a new song.” If it’s a big deal to God, we’d better make it a big deal in our lives and search out the matter.

A new song comes from a new experience in the power of the Holy Spirit. When you have an encounter with Jesus, that’s supposed to be the new dramatic theme to your life – not the fact that you were molested as a child, abandoned, or that you’ve been addicted most of your life.

Now, I’m not belittling that. Those are terrible things, but they should not be the theme of your life like a scratch on a record that keeps playing the same thing over and over again.

“O sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.” – Psalm 98:1

Each new song should be about a new victory – a new breakthrough. Your life should not be about how you were persecuted, have encountered racists, or that you’ve been poor. Your song should not be about that you went to prison or that you were divorced several times. That’s the song the world sings and it’s not for you.

The dramatic theme to your life is supposed to be about how you are redeemed. God gives you a new song – a redemption song that is all about victory and freedom from that thing that held you captive but no longer has a grip on you.

Sadly, so much of the Body of Christ is stuck like a scratched record repeating over and over again, “My past still defines me. My past still defines me.” It doesn’t have to. The music of your life needs to match the fact that you are redeemed.

Are you redeemed? Are you a new creature because of Jesus Christ? Sing a new song. Put away your history and let the song of your destiny define you.

NO NEGATIVE NARRATIVE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

You are here for such a time as this. I have put the best of every bloodline on the earth to usher in My glorious return. You are called to testify to love. You are called to be a witness to My goodness.

NO NEGATIVE NARRATIVE

This is a year of gold – golden opportunities and financial blessing. With this said, know this: The negative narrative does not work for you in 2021 or 2022. Whatever you do, do not plug into the negative narrative.

Listen, you’re always going to have haters. You’re always going to have somebody saying something bad about you. That’s normal. It just is. If you have people who don’t like what you do or how you do it, say, “situation normal.”

What is also normal is for God Almighty to bless people who are bound and determined to continue with their Godly assignments in the midst of a hostile environment. Hallelujah. The prophets of the Old Testament were hated and persecuted because they relayed messages from God the people didn’t like. In these last days, people aren’t going to like us much.

You know, the reason why the Holy Spirit is called The Comforter? It’s because you’re going to need Him to be your Comforter if you’re going to stick with God during times of trouble – aka this day we’re living in. He doesn’t call Jack Daniels the Comforter. He calls the Holy Spirit The Comforter because His comfort is real.

As the days grow darker and darker, you need to have a different Spirit. You need to have something very, very different about you and that “different” is the Holy Spirit living in you.

Speak life and not death. The world needs life. Drop-dead sold-out Jesus freaks like you and I walk and talk differently. We have hope and there is no hope in a negative narrative.

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. – Ephesians 4:29

ADDED UNTO YOU

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Pursuit is a big deal in the Kingdom. Those who seek are rewarded with the ultimate gift – My presence. The way to the throne room is through the servant’s quarters. Seek to serve others. Seek to serve Me and you will find.

ADDED UNTO YOU

Do not approach God as though you are a survivor. Why? Because the survivor mentality is a poverty mentality and surviving kills seeking.

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. – Deuteronomy 4:29

Newsflash! There are over 100 verses in the Bible that tell you to seek God. Every one of them says if you seek, you will be rewarded. If you’re all about just surviving the moment, you’re not going to be about stepping out of your comfort zone.

When you start seeking, man, you start leaving what’s comfortable behind you. You leave what’s familiar behind you and find yourself in dangerous places. A survivor’s mentality stops you in your tracks from seeking. That’s exactly what Jesus is addressing in Matthew 6.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  – Matthew 6:25-26

Survival mode is the kryptonite to seeking because it keeps you immobilized in fear and worry. Hear me on this: You are not a survivor! You are an overcomer. You are an overcomer because you are a seeker.

Pay attention to spiritual things. Pay attention to Kingdom things and be sure you have a great priority to see the Kingdom come in your life and the lives of those around you. You’ve gotta seek the Kingdom and God’s righteousness in order to be “added unto” or blessed. and that makes you an overcomer!

MAKING TRACKS – Wednesday, Sept. 29

Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021

Pastor Troy Brewer, OpenDoor Church, Burleson, TX

The book of Romans has the word “man” in its title, and it is no coincidence that it’s the sixth book of the New Testament.

“Man” is the sixth word in a total of six verses in Romans. (Romans 2:1; 2:3; 2:6; 3:28; 5:7; 6:6)

Romans 2:1Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.

Romans 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Romans 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law

Romans 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Man is the sixth word in Romans 6:6. God’s answer to the flesh is the Cross.

Romans 6:6 – Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed,
that henceforth we should not serve sin.

“Man” is the sixth word in a total of six verses in Romans. (Romans 2:1; 2:3; 2:6; 3:28; 5:7; 6:6)

THIS IS A PICTURE OF THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS TRACK AND IT’S NOT EVEN ON THIS EARTH. IT’S ON THE MOON.

This is the footprint that Neil Armstrong left on his very first step on the surface of the moon WAY back in the famous summer of ’69.

Flesh is all about its own power. It refuses to be submitted to God’s power. You might think it’s not worth mentioning, but I notice something very big in modern history that screams this same pattern.

Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, uttered the famous words, “That’s One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Are there any sixes stamped on this event? Yes, there are. Not just one or two. There are actually six.

On the very same day Armstrong walked the surface of the moon, President Nixon spoke to him. The message was broad- cast on live television throughout the world. The actual phone number that patched him through from the White House was dialed as 666-666.

Speaking of Armstrong’s “one giant leap for mankind,” Pastor Hoggard points out in “By Divine Order,” that the word “man- kind” is found in the Bible exactly six times. Go figure.

“That’s one small step for MAN,  one giant leap for MANKIND” – Neil ARMSTRONG

Luke 1:46-51 – (The Song of Mary) 46 And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. 48 For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. 49 For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. 50 And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. 51 He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

EVERYTHING CHANGES FROM HERE AND HE HAS DONE IT WITH HIS STRONG ARM.

When  Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier, we became a people who travel past the speed of sound.

When Roger Banister first broke the 4-minute mile, suddenly runners all over the world began to do the same thing.

Joshua steps into the Promised Land

There is something very significant about your step forward that is a giant leap for everybody else.

The Hound of Heaven: As the hound follows the hare, never ceasing in its running, ever drawing nearer in the chase, with unhurried and unperturbed pace, so does God follow the fleeing soul by His Divine grace. And though in sin or in human love, away from God it seeks to hide itself, Divine grace follows after, unwearyingly follows ever after, till the soul feels its pressure forcing it to turn to Him alone in that never ending pursuit.

Never ending pursuit = Relentless Grace  | Persistent grace: grace that doesn’t let go or give up

Ezekiel 34:11-12 “For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search and find my sheep. 12 I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day.”

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”

I believe in the idea of Jesus being the hound of heaven –of Him chasing us down in order to give us life – of Him following us, pursing us, going after us.

Psalms 139:7-8 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell behold, You are there.

And He’s on your tracks!

SEVERAL YEARS AGO, LEANNA AND I WERE ON THE WEST COAST DOING A CONFERENCE AND A COVEN OF WITCHES ATTENDED MY CONFERENCE.

Henry Blackaby says in Experiencing God that, “God is pursuing a love relationship with us that is personal and real.”

If you were to receive that as a text message from God, how would you text Him back? In other words, how have you responded to God’s pursuit in your own life?

In his book, The Grip of Grace, Max Lucado says, “It is because of grace that God pursues us, waits for us, faithfully and lovingly holds onto us. It is also by grace that the believer pursues God, waits for Him, faithfully and lovingly holds onto Him.”

It’s true that Jesus, as the hound of heaven, has chased you down and tracked you like Joe lafors track down Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Frank Hamer tracked down Bonnie and Clyde. But it is also true that there comes a change in the relation where we take on the responsibility of beginning to track after Him.

Psalms 63:7&8Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

How you chase after God matters for you, but it matters more for the generations to come.

You are Neil Armstrong. You are the person who represents the strong arm of God who blesses all the generations behind you because of the steps you dared to take forward.

Today you are King David who chased after and dared to try and track down God’s own heart in such a way that we are all blessed to this day.

We stand on the shoulders of people who have gone before us in the faith, people as far back as King David! Today, we are called to be those shoulders for future generations. We are the means by which God does enduring things. God does it! We are simply asked to respond. And when we do, we live in joy, we are transformed into God’s very image, and we claim our place on the family tree, that tree that goes all the way back to David.

Deuteronomy 11:24Every place where you set your foot will be yours…

THE INSIDE SCOOP

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

My heart hurts when I see what you’ve hidden in shadow, afraid I will reject you like so many in the past. I Am the God who sees. I see your hurt, your shame, and your failure. I Am not disgusted. No. I Am able – able to do what you cannot. Open the door and I will come in.

THE INSIDE SCOOP

Getting the “inside scoop” is what intimacy is all about. It’s the privileges that come with relationship.

Whether you’re a friend, family, or a bride – every relationship you have has a level of intimacy attached to it. The level of intimacy you give others is a really big deal, right? Your boss may be nice, but he doesn’t have the same level of intimacy to your heart as your spouse does.

It’s that way with Jesus too. While He loves us all and knows every thought we think, He’s first and foremost a gentleman. He gave us free will to choose or reject Him, so He waits to be invited into relationship. He is also patient as we let Him into more and more places in our life – especially those places that are painful.

It took me a long time to invite Jesus into my finances. It really did. I was ashamed and didn’t want to admit what a failure I was. Do you know what happened when I finally let Him into that arena? He cleaned it up and showed me how to steward my money and supernaturally gain wealth.

As a young man, I had anger issues. When Jesus first went off like a bomb in my life, I was a grade-A mess. Jesus loved me from the beginning and took on my mess one thing at a time. Anger was a tough box for me to open in front of Him.

Yes, He had seen me angry and yes, I knew I could trust Him with it. I just didn’t want to face the root of all that anger. For all the pain, shame and rejection I had tried to hide from even myself, Jesus had lived with that and more. He took that Pandora’s box and I haven’t seen it since.

That’s intimacy. Letting Him in on the broken and dark places you don’t want to face and trusting Him to shine some light in there. To bind up, clean up and set some things in order. Give Jesus the inside scoop and see what freedom really is.

The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest. Righteousness goes before Him and prepares the way for His steps. – Psalm 85:12-13

JESUS IS THE REAL DEAL

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me. Follow, believe and receive the abundance and identity I offer. Embrace your destiny. Embrace Me.

JESUS IS THE REAL DEAL

Just in case it slipped by you, the Old Testament is the part of the Bible that was written before Jesus was born. Actually, its writings were completed 450 years before Jesus was born. Some of the books were written well over a thousand years before Jesus was born.

Why are you telling me that? Because, Jesus fulfilled so many Old Testament prophecies.

Hundreds of years after they were penned, Jesus walked them out. He talked them out. He brought those words to life and let everyone know God’s Word is true. It can be trusted and it’s real.

Did you know there’s a big argument over how many Old Testament prophecies Jesus actually fulfilled? That’s because many of the prophecies are actually cryptic – that means they are mysterious, obscure or hidden.

The good news is, there are at least 300 prophecies that are just outright, in-your-face words pointing to Jesus as the Messiah.

So, let me as you this: What are the chances of one person fulfilling eight prophecies? The answer is one in 100,000,000,000,0000,000. I don’t even know if there is a word for that many zeroes!

With that in mind, what are the chances of one person fulfilling 48 prophecies? That would be one in 10 to the 157th power. And if that’s not enough, what are the chances of one person fulfilling 300 prophecies? I’ll tell you what that is. It’s indescribable, and guys, that’s what Jesus did.

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.”  – Matthew 5:17

Could a mere man purposefully do this throughout his lifetime? No, because mortal man has no control over his circumstances. Remember, many of those prophesies were about Jesus’ birth and childhood – things He would have no control over.

So, here’s what’s real: Jesus is the real deal. He just is. Case closed.
