FIRST RESPONDER

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I love you too much to let you stay the same. When I saved you out of the pit of sin, a dusted you off, gave you a ring and a robe. You are already clean, now follow Me to get your hands dirty serving others.

FIRST RESPONDER

I know I’ve already told you that when Jesus Christ reveals Himself to John on the Isle of Patmos, it’s a word to the Church – that means people who have been born again – you and me. Here’s one of those words:

“…among whom we also all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…” – Ephesians 2:3-6

It’s saying there was a time in our lives when everything we found ourselves doing was fulfilling the desires of the natural man. By nature, we were called children of wrath. That’s what an unsaved person is and what we were before God initiated anything in our lives.

Even while we deserved His wrath, God in His mercy stepped in. All of a sudden, we were invaded by the love of God and His grace, and He saved us.

When we were sinners, God made a move on us. God initiates and we respond. We’re responders. Our purpose in this relationship and fellowship with our Savior, King and Lord is we respond to everything He initiates.

Most of us are reading this devotional and living the life we’re living for Him because we responded to His call of giving us unconditional love.

So, here’s my point today. You and I are saved. We can’t get any more saved than we are. So if we don’t need to get saved, what is God calling us to that we need to respond to?

Upgrade. Intimacy. Relationship. Identity, purpose and destiny. That’s what He’s initiating. We are no longer under wrath, but if we don’t respond to His new call, we will miss the heart of King Jesus. Be a first responder in somebody’s life today and initiate the Kingdom in them.

REVELATION SONGS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

When I spoke the universe into existence, it was with a song. A revelation of My heart and My creativity brought time, space and matter into being. You are so much more than those things! You are My image and My child. I have a song just for you!

REVELATION SONGS

When you start living your supernatural identity out, you start denying your flesh, walking in the newness of life and discovering things. One of the things you will discover is a new song.

“Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!” – Psalms 96:1

By the way, every time you get a new revelation or encounter with God, it’s like Him saying, “this is going to be your new experience.” That’s called a new song. Are you tracking with me here? A new song comes from a new revelation.

“And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were slain, and with your blood, you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.” – Revelation 5:9

Everybody’s jamming in heaven. It’s an epic moment and with the epic moment comes an epic song.

A new song comes from a new experience in the power of the Holy Spirit. When God gives you a new song, you’re supposed to move from the outer court to the inner court, or from the inner court to the Holy of Holies. It’s increasing from 30- to 60- to 100-fold blessings because you’re willing to let that revelation work in your life.

When was the last time you had a new song – a new Revelation about Jesus that changed the way you think or the way you act? If it’s been a while, that’s too long! Ask the Holy Spirit for a new revelation today then keep your eyes and ears open. It could be in the Word, in a song, on the nightly news or something your kids say that makes you go, “BOOM! Mind blown!”

Where your revelation comes from is how God Almighty speaks to you. I’m just saying go after it and be prepared to grab it when it comes because it will. If you seek a revelation song, you will find and that’s a fact, Jack!

LEAVE THAT JUNK IN THE WATER

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Freedom is a big deal to Me. Without freedom, there can be no love. Without love, freedom is useless. Give Me what has kept you captive and I will bury it in the depths of the sea.

LEAVE THAT JUNK IN THE WATER

I believe when you’re baptized, things that have been closed to you in the heavens will be broken wide open. You’re going to see prayers answered, revelation, things restored, and intimate fellowship with Jesus.

How do I know? Look at Moses and the Israelites as they were leaving Egypt. As their past came back to haunt them and drag them back into captivity, God Himself said something amazing to Moses at the edge of the Red Sea.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are your crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. And I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.” – Exodus – 14:18

God wants to trap the things that hunt you down – the addictions, fears, secret sins and wrong thinking that have your bound – and wash them away for His Glory.

Just like Pharaoh’s chariots and horsemen being washed away in the waters of the Red Sea was an advertisement of His power to the Hebrews and Egyptians alike, your past and all the demons in it being buried in the water are a testimony to Him. So is the freedom that follows.

When you take something down into that water with you, come up out of that water and say, “I am free from that.” Believe with all your heart the power of the Holy Spirit has been initiated in your life.

What do you need freedom from? Give God the glory and let Him wash it away in the waters of baptism for all the world to see. Then move into the relationship and rewards Jesus has always wanted for you.

WILL YOU CHANGE?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am a God who never changes. Life changes. You will change as your circumstances change. I do not. I Am the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I love you as you are, but if you partner with Me, you will change for the better.

WILL YOU CHANGE?

If you study Deuteronomy 28, the first 14 verses are God’s awesome blessing for obedience. It’s amazing, but the next verse is a curse and it’s ugly.

“But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you… – Deuteronomy 28:15

Then the Lord gives them a long list of curses for disobedience. Look it up because it’ll blow your mind. What’s real is as extreme as the blessing is, the curse is just as extreme.

One thing He promises in the blessing is He’ll make it rain. There’s a big difference between the Old Testament covenant and the New Testament covenant. Under the New Covenant, God Almighty makes it rain on the just and the unjust.

…that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. – Matthew 5:45

In the Old Testament, God only let it rain on the just. In the Old Testament, the Jews were God’s chosen people.

The truth is, God never changes. What changed between the two covenants was the arrival of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, through Christ, God offers salvation to the Jews and Gentiles alike. Paul calls that “the one new man” – Jew and Gentile accepted and blessed by God Almighty.

Old Testament and New, He is the only God. The only One worthy of our praise. Here in Texas, we pray for rain a lot. But do we pray for Jesus to reign? Surrender to Him. Be obedient and walk in the blessings He promised to our Jewish brothers and sisters. They’re for us too!

CLOSE THE DOOR!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I know the plans I have for you. I prepared good things for you to do long ago before you were born. I Am an intentional God whose plan is for your good. Do you believe it? Receive it and trust in Me.

CLOSE THE DOOR!

Jesus teaches us to match our prayers with settings. Why? Because we’re in a relationship and you don’t meet your best friend in a trash heap and expect a positive outcome.

Yes, the reason we “close the door” on our prayer closet is because it’s a picture of intimacy. If you want to get intimate with God, set things up for intimacy. The last part of shutting the door is intentionality.

When you’ve got something important to bring before Jesus, you go into a room and you close the door – you’ve got business to do. You’re not going to worry about what’s going on outside or who is going to overhear. You have to think about what’s going on in there. You’re intentional.

That’s when you do something by decision instead of by default. I love being intentional. My default setting always spins me off into some place that’s bad. We have to learn to reprogram our own default settings.

When all hell breaks loose, you don’t just instantly run to Jesus. You have to make yourself do that. You do it enough and that becomes your default setting. But you have to do that through the intentional posture of discipline.

The same way, you don’t just accidentally fall into a blessing because God is intentional. The power of intent is huge in the Kingdom. Being intentional means you have determined to make something a priority. What are you intent on? Today, make Jesus a priority and close the door. You’ll be greatly rewarded.

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” – Matthew 6:5

SIMPLE AS THAT

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I did not change My mind, I did not grow soft or break My covenant with my people. I Am a faithful God who loves you enough to give My Son to pay the price you could not. He paid for your healing, prosperity, deliverance and your adoption fee. I Am a good Father.

SIMPLE AS THAT

I’ve heard people ask, “Did God change from the Old Testament to the New Testament?” No.  Numbers 23 tells us God is not one to lie to His people or change His mind.

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” – Numbers 23:19

“But Pastor Troy, why are the Old Covenant and the New Covenant so different because is really seems like God changed.” I’m here to tell you He hasn’t and explain what happened from one side of the cross to the other.

It works like this: in order for God Almighty to give you mercy, He first has to deal with the justice part of it. Under the Old Covenant, any time you went into covenant with someone it was until death. Since God Almighty went into that kind of a covenant with them, that meant that He Himself had to die because that was the deal – until death.

God wanted to fulfill that covenant. Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 He didn’t come to destroy the Old Testament. He came to fulfill it.

What needed to be fulfilled in the Old Testament? It was the “justice” part because you and I could never tap into God’s mercy if there was no justice. We couldn’t pay the price. The justice part said you and I deserve to go to hell – that the wrath of God had to be poured out upon us.

So what happened? Jesus went to the cross and He paid the justice price for you and for me. He fulfilled our end of the contract. Once He took on all of our sin and the Father judged them, He looked at the Old Covenant and said, “It is finished.” He closed the door on it.

That was on Good Friday. On Sunday, Jesus resurrected from the dead with all these tickets that said “judgment is given, justice been paid. Now everybody has access to mercy.”

Yes, Jesus sits upon a mercy seat, but its foundation is judgment and truth. God isn’t bipolar. He is Love and love demands justice and gives mercy – simple as that.

Pastor Troy Brewer, OpenDoor Church, Burleson, TX

THERES IS A VERY SPECIFIC WORD FROM GOD FOR SPECIFIC PEOPLE AT SPECIFIC TIMES

2 Corinthians 6:2 – For he saith, “I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

Sons of Issachar

1 Chronicles 12:32 – And of the children of Issachar, who were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were under their command

God also speaks differently at different times:

Hebrews 1:1  – God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

God adds to what He has already said, and gives new layers of revelation and new direction, like in Matthew, Jesus says things like, “You have heard it said, now I say unto you.”

Sept 6 – Sundown  Rosh Hashanah

The Feast that no man knows the day or the hour

Feast of Trumpets

(1) Passover

(2) Feast of Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:6) – Pointed to the Messiah’s sinless life (as leaven is a picture of sin in the Bible), making Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus’ body was in the grave during the first days of this feast,

(3) Feast of First Fruits. He rose on that day and became as the “first fruits from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:20).”

(4) Feast of Weeks (PENTECOST)

Feast of Trumpets (The Rapture of the Church): 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 – For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)

Judgment Day

The Great White Throne Judgment

Feast of Booths (tabernacles): Revelation 21:2 – Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

In 2021, Rosh Hashanah will begin at sundown on September 6th and end at sundown on September 8th.

The Hebrew Year 5782

Every Hebrew letter has 3 different values

Phonic sound, Number, Prophetic picture

We are still in the decade of the Pey.

In 2020 on the Gregorian calendar, as soon as we entered into the roaring 20s, we entered in the 80s on the Hebrew calendar.

PEY IS SYMBOLIC OF MOUTH AND BREATH

(THE MASK)

IN THE DECADE OF THE PEY (80), YOU MUST SPEAK OUT. YOUR VOICE MUST BE HEARD.

The 2020th word in the Strong’s exhaustive concordance is a word found only one time in the entire Bible. It’s the Hebrew word for deliverance and it is found only in this timely verse:

Esther 4:14

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

(peh) means mouth. In fact, it is the peh, which by providing humans with the power of speech, elevates the status of people above that of animals.

Prophecy is meant to be declared, not just perceived.

We have to get our mouths in alignment for our assignment.

Moses saw the Promised Land, but Joshua tasted the fruit.

Psalms 34:8  – Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!

The year is the Number 2 House Habitation – Acts chapter 2

Beit is a tent, a house or the place where you live or where God lives

A Holy Habitation

The Hebrew letter/number for 80 is “Pey,” which has a prophetic symbol of a mouth. It’s all about the power of the spoken word. If God literally creates with His words, what does that say about ours? They, too, are powerful. Add that to the Hebrew letter/number for two, which is “Bet,” and the year 82 explodes!

Bet is the first letter all of Hebrew scripture. “Bereshit” means “in the beginning.” It is the prophetic symbol of a tent or house. It is all about the “house of creation” or “beginning of the universe.”

It’s not this one; it’s that one:

Not the A but the B Not Esau but Jacob Not Cain but Able It’s not the first man Adam. but the second man Adam – Jesus The 1 or the alpha represents the father The 2 or the bet represents the son

The Secret Son

The Hidden Bet

(My dream about my daughter )                                                   “Its time for you to know my secret son.”

Sacrificial Service for Christ: Colossians 1:24  – I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, 26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

The world needs to see Jesus in you this year ––the hidden Jesus.

God is looking for those people who have a different spirit.

Be set apart as a HOLY HABITATION unto Him!

This is also the year of the church!!!!

The church is to be the house of God not a puppet of the government or puppet to the media.

The Lord is about to move in a manifest way in His church

The Jews see an opening on the left of the Bet, which is a window to let light and revelation in. Now, here is the best part, so wait for it…

PEY HAS A HIDDEN BET INSIDE IT! THE YEAR 82 IS A DOUBLE BET! THE HIDDEN AND THE EXPOSED!!

Double portion!!!!

Is twice as much but one is clearly seen and the other one has to be reveled

Romans 4:17 – (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did

My friends, 5782 is all about speaking life, creating with your words, declaring and decreeing things into existence. You can set the atmosphere in your home, your work and relationships with the words you speak this year and it will be doubly anointed and doubly blessed!

Speaking of doubles, this will blow your mind. Check out the 82nd verse of the Old Testament:

82ND VERSE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

Genesis 4:2  – And she again bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Now, the 82nd verse in the New Testament also speaks of brothers:

82ND VERSE OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

Matthew 4:18 – And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

While Cain and Abel opposites, a farmer and rancher, Andrew and Peter are both fishermen. Cain started his own religion while Abel followed the instructions of the One True God. Here’s the difference Jesus and grace make: brotherly love and brothers coming together!

Psalms 22:22 – I will declare your name to my brothers; in the assembly I will praise you.

When we look at the 22 of the Gregorian calendar year, this verse jumped out to me. It is a prophetic intersection of what the Lord wants to do this year in both Abraham’s natural children (the Jews) and his supernatural children (us bacon-eating Gentiles) to make the One New Man of Ephesians 2:15 Paul so longed for. Check out the prophetic markers!

Job 22:28 – You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you (5782); So light will shine on your ways (2022).

BOOM! The number 22 in scripture is all bout personal revelation and light being made manifest. It’s about things hidden in darkness being exposed and the Light of the World showing up and saying, “Ta-Da! Here I am in this part of your life!” The word says God’s Word (Jesus) is a lamp unto our feet  and a light unto our path, right? Well check these 22’s out:

There are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet—every word is a revelation or light to mankind. There are 22 chapters in Revelation, revealing Jesus as the Mighty Warrior.“Light” is used 22 times in the Gospel of John. The 22nd time is John 12:46 –“ I have come as the light of the world…”Psalms 22 is titled “The Prophetic Portrait of the Cross.”There were 22 bowls to hold oil for the candlestick in the Tabernacle. There were 22 almonds on the seven branches of the candlestick in the tabernacle (Exodus 25:31-37).There were 22,000 priests of Levi that redeemed the firstborn sons of Israel and brought the light of Scripture to the Jewish nation.

I’m not making this stuff up. When God uses the number 22, the light of Jesus and His personal revelation to you is all over it! Paul is a perfect picture of personal revelation through the light of Jesus. The 22nd time Saul is mentioned in the New Testament, he is telling King Agrippa of the revelation light of Jesus blinding him at his miracle conversion. No joke!

When you look at these verses, you see both the promise of 82 and the light of 22 for this year:

22nd verse in Old Testament: Genesis 1:22 – And God blessed them saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas and let foul multiply in the earth.”

22nd verse in New Testament: Matthew 1:22 – So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

John 20:22 – And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

James 1:22 – But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

And finally, Psalms 22 is King David’s prophetic song foretelling his “son” Yeshua (Jesus). While David is crying out in the natural, he is supernaturally seeing Jesus on the cross of sacrifice, hearing the words Jesus says and those of the crowd around Him. When you compare this to the Gospel accounts of the cross, there is no other explanation. I believe David is seeing the Light of the World be snuffed out to save us all. Amazing! I also like to think that Psalms 22 is a prophetic prayer for Jesus. Everyone who has read or prayed this Psalm throughout time has been literally praying and interceding for Jesus on that cross. Read it! Declare and decree it in this amazing year of 5780 and 2020.

There is so much more, but it will have to be for another time. Until then, I pray these prophetic words and pictures will speak to your heart this year and draw you closer to the Light of the World, the Creator and the Word—King Jesus, the Bereshit of all things!

THE POWER OF UNIQUENESS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am the potter and you are My clay. I mold you into the kind of vessel that brings Me delight. I choose your shape, color and purpose to bring Me glory. You are wonderfully made!

THE POWER OF UNIQUENESS

One of the reasons the power and the gifts of God – the majesty and brilliance of God – are so indescribable is they are unique to each of us. They don’t belong to anybody else because while God loves us all the same, He doesn’t speak or appear to us all the same way.

If you are able to describe the power of God within your life, you have no power of God within your life. It is so important that you and I tap into some things that are, in fact, indescribable.

The principle of uniqueness is important because uniqueness has to do with intimacy and things that are personal. There’s a big part of my walk with God that is personal. It doesn’t belong to anybody else.

Some of the most powerful things in your life are only going to belong to you. Religion will never teach you that. A religious church will tell you we’re all supposed to have the same walk, talk exactly the same, that there’s not supposed to be any diversity among us  – nothing unique – we all act the same. Right?

What’s real is, God isn’t doing the same thing within me that He’s doing in you. Yes, He’s saved us through one way – the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ – and there is no other way, I promise you that. But, I’m not trying to get saved anymore. I’m already saved!

Now I’m trying to live like I’m saved and so are you. How I walk that out is going to look different from how you walk that out. God is so good that He didn’t give us all the same identity, purpose and destiny. That’s where our power lies. Each of us fulfills something unique in His Kingdom, for His purpose and His glory.

However, you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people who belong to God. You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. – 1 Peter 2:9

Today, I dare you to live like you’re saved. Fulfill something unique for the Kingdom and give God the glory!

GONE TO THE DOGS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am a God who pursues. Some call Me the Hound of Heaven because I pursue your heart no matter where it runs. Seek Me and you will not only find Me – I will run to you – never from you.

GONE TO THE DOGS

I’m going to tell you from personal experience, there’s a very offensive side to Jesus. I found it outright offensive when He told me to be a giver and I was flat broke. It’s offensive that He wakes me up in the middle of the night and tells me to seek Him.

When Jesus gets offensive, I have a choice and so do you. Seek and follow Him or not. It’s offense that keeps us from seeking.

There’s a Canaanite woman in the Bible who followed Jesus around desperate for a word of healing for her demon-possessed daughter. Jesus called her a dog! She was getting on the nerves of all the disciples, and Jesus picked up that so He’s like, “watch how the disciples approve of Me offending this woman.”

“He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me,” she said. He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” She replied, “Yes Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” – Matthew 15:24-27

It’s like Jesus was saying, “Uhm, excuse me, ma’am. I don’t really have anything for you because what I have is for the children of God and not for dogs.”

Jesus called a woman a dog and she refused to get offended. Instead, she said, “Oh, you’re calling me a dog? Well, that means I get to sit under the table and eat the crumbs. Those crumbs will heal my daughter.”

Jesus didn’t say that to humiliate her. He wanted to expose the fact that she refused to be offended. She was going to seek Him, and seek Him, and seek Him until she finally got something. Then He turns to the disciples and is like, “I wish you guys were like her.”

Seeking is a big deal, but you have to get past the offense that surrounds it. It’s not easy, convenient or free. It will cost you some pride, but it’s worth it!
