Three Things
How about another writing prompt today?
Your on an island for 6 months. You know this is going to happen and so you get to pack three things you want to have with you(noconstraints on the three things). This is a nice island–with food and a place to sleep, so you’re not necessarily roughing it.
Give us the opening paragraph of your story, finding a way to let us know your three things while still giving us a flavor of your surroundings.
Go!

New Beginnings
For the next few weeks, I’m working on a non-contracted writing project that I’ve been wanting to get to for quite some time. But, because of my various series obligations, it’s been on my brain’s back burner.
I only have a few weeks before I have to put it aside again, but I’m enjoying this phase very much. I’m having fun creating new characters and figuring out what makes them tick, what their vulnerabilities and strengths are, etc. I’m figuring out the world they live in and the journey the...
At the Moment
Kind of harried today, lots to do. But I’m quite sure I’ll sneak in a little time to read.
I’m about 2/3rds of the way through Harlan Coben’s MISSING YOU.
What are you reading?

Another World
I had the opportunity to check out a few of the mansions in Newport, Rhode Island this weekend–the Vanderbilt’s “summer cottage” (known as The Breakers) being one of them.
This is it.
Their summer cottage. With over 138,000 square feet of living space.
Crazy, isn’t it?
It is a beautiful home. Truly. But I don’t think I’d ever be comfortable living in something like that.
How about you? Could you?

Bits, Bits, and More Bits
It’s Bits & Pieces time again!
1) Favorite smell?
2) Last movie you watched (either in the theater or at home)?
3) What color is your house?
4) Did you ever go to sleep-away camp as a kid? If so, did you like it?
5) Okay, stand up, right now. Hop twice. Did you do it?

Time Card, Please
How about a writing prompt today?
You can be funny or serious. You can write as the you you are now or the you you were at the time…but, either way, give us a peek at your very first job as a teenager.

Signs of Spring
I’m beginning to wonder if Mother Nature reads this blog.
The reason? Well, my post on Monday talked about wanting spring to come and, for the first time in entirely too long, we had a really nice “spring day” yesterday.
Fortunately I spent some of it outside (walking in the city with my aunt), as did the Angus the cat (who did his usual in/out routine with longer periods of “out” than he’s done since fall). My youngest was grinning when she got home because she didn’t have to wear a coat and c...

Fool You Once?
In honor of April Fools Day, I thought I’d inquire about your best April Fools’ trick–whether played by or on you.

Dreamy Temps
This has been a fairly brutal winter in terms of snow, cold, and longevity. So, needless to say, I’ve been dreaming about spring a lot.
One of the first things I’m looking forward to most? A walk outside (that doesn’t include teeth chattering), followed closely by writing on the deck.
How about you? What are you most looking forward to about warmer temps?

Big Bits, Little Bits
Bits & Pieces time!
1) If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve seen in the past, what would you paint?
2) If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
3)If you could go back and change one thing in your life, what would it be?
4)If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
5) If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
