Good or Bad Choice
On Chris’s excellent suggestion last week, let’s talk about books that have been made into movies.
What book-turned-movie do you think did it right when it came to casting a particular character?
And which book-turned-movie do you think made a major oops when casting a particular character and why? Who do you think would have made a better choice and why?

Three Things–Holiday Busyness
I’m here. Late, but here.
This weekend, like all the others, went by in a blur.
I treated myself to a rare slow-moving morning on Saturday. This meant I skipped the gym (woot!) and watched a Hallmark movie. I made myself breakfast in bed to eat while I watched!

Holiday Bits, Round One
Now that it’s officially December, I think it’s fair to holiday-ify our bits accordingly, yes?
Favorite holiday song? Real or fake? Star or angel? Open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?Have a great weekend, everyone!

P.S. If you’re on Facebook, be sure to check out my AUTHOR page (url shown in graphic below) every day from now until December 19th (and hopefully beyond just because) to get in on whatever “Big News” Countdown goodie I have up for grabs that d...

The Strangest of Days
Yesterday was one of those days that was just all over the place. It kicked off with hearing we need a new furnace (cha-ching!). Then it moved on to racing up the hill behind the house trying to put out a growing brush fire (don’t worry, the fire department put it out–nope, not kidding). But, I’m pleased to say it ended on a kind of cool note when this happened…
Not really a “culinary mystery” unless you count Tobi’s ability to pour Cocoa Puffs from a box, but hey, it hit # 1, so I’m not com...

Digging Deep
I was interviewed yesterday for an article pertaining to MS. Two of the questions really intrigued me, so I thought I’d bring them here for all of you to answer, as well.
What is your personal motto in life? What is your favorite quote?I’ll share the answers I gave for myself, after you guys have time to weigh in with your own answers.

Keep On Going?
I finished Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic & Sister and moved right on to the next book in the series, Shopaholic & Baby.
That choice gave me the perfect question for all of you today…
When you come upon an already established series, do you read all the way through it, back to back? Or do you read a book and then come back to the next one at some other point?
Me? I’m obviously a once-I-find-it-and-like-it-I’ll keep-reading-until-I’m-all-caught-up kinda person

Three Thanksgiving Weekend Things
Can you believe how fast this holiday weekend went? Whoosh…
I spent a little bit of every day this past week writing, but also fit in some fun. My youngest was home from college (yay!) so that was a treat.
As for three things to share from the weekend, here we go. Small things, but sometimes it’s the small things that bring me the biggest smiles.
Thanksgiving Day proper was quiet here. DH had to work, DS was elsewhere, and DD # 1 is holiday-less this year with her apprenticeship. So it was ju...

Turkey Bits
In light of the fact that this is our last bits before the official Thanksgiving holiday, it seems only appropriate that we have turkey bits today. So here we go…
Turkey or other meat? And if turkey, white or dark meat? Favorite veggie? Stuffing or mashed potatoes? Favorite way to have turkey leftovers? Under/over on how long you’ll think you’ll be eating leftovers this year? Dessert most looking forward to?In lieu of the holiday and the busyness that ensues (my college kid is coming home!...
Turkey Thoughts
Got to the computer late this morning thanks to my workout being followed by breakfast with a gym buddy.

A Boost of Happy
I’m dragging this week, folks. Some of it is probably the time change and the fact that despite what the sun says, the days seem longer. The other factor is probably the multiple projects I have on my plate for the foreseeable future. And then, let’s not forget the upcoming holiday season and all the busyness that comes with that.
I’ve been working out hard this week–always hoping it’ll give me the energy boost others talk about, but really, it just makes me tired. But alas, I keep doing it...
