Bits O’ Bits

Let’s get straight to this week’s Bits & Pieces, shall we?

1) Do you ride roller coasters? If so, what is the best one you’ve ever ridden?

2) Amusement park or water park?

3) Favorite amusement-park like treat?

4) If you could go to any theme park (amusement, water, whatever) right now, where would you go?

It’s Your Pen

I’m curious.

If you were to write a book, what kind of book would you write?

An Oldie but a Goodie

I’m heading into the city today to spend a few hours with one of my oldest (time wise, not age wise) friends. We’ve known each other since the 4th grade. And although we didn’t get “close” until high school, it’s fun to look back at pictures of us as little kids and know that we’ve been friends that long.

They’re predicting some hot weather and potentially some rain, too, but hanging with Theresa is always fun, even if it’s only for a little while.

Do you still keep in touch with anyone from el...

What Should I Choose?

I may actually get to read a book next week.

I know, that sounds pathetic, doesn’t it? open book

But truly, it’s been way too long since I’ve had a chance to simply sit and read a book. I’m usually writing, and when I finally put that aside my eyes are done with print.

Sadly, the book I’m waiting for (the next Linda Castillo book) doesn’t come out until early July, so I’m at a loss on what to choose as my “first book in entirely too long.”

So what are you reading? Maybe I’ll be inspired to go get a copy o...

Summer

I thought I’d throw out some summer questions today.

1) Favorite “quiet” summer activity?

2) Favorite “active” summer activity?

3) Favorite summer dessert?

4) Favorite summer dinner?

5) Favorite summer lawn game?

Friday Bits

It’s that time of week again, so let’s get to it:

1) If you could win a life time supply of anything, what would it be?

2) What was the first thing you learned to cook or bake on your own?

3) If you needed someone (outside your family) to act as a character reference for you, who would you choose?

4) What did you do to get pocket money as a child?

5) What one sound drives you crazy?

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Up To Speed

I figured I’d check in today with a writing update–kind of a where-I’m-at-right-now kind of thing.

Sewing Circle Mysteries:

*Book 9, TAKEN IN, releases August 5th and I’m going to be asking forvery specific help from everyone I know who has a Twitter account that day. If you do, stay tuned… If not, there will be ways you can help with the release on Facebook, too.

*Book 10, WEDDING DURESS, will be out in April. The title was just finalizedand I think it’s kind of cute. And, as you can guess, it’...

Happy Dancing

I don’t know about you, but certain things just make me happy. And happy things make life so much nicer, don’t they?

Here’s a list of things that make me happy: dancing snoopy

1) Seeing a picture of Snoopy dancing. It makes me instantly think of an old friend from college who had her own version of the Snoopy dance. Even now, while I’m writing this, I’m smiling thinking about it.

2) Disney World. Some of my favorite memories with my kids were born at Disney (one example: my youngest discovered her shadow ther...

‘Fess Up

Book question time…

What was the first book that made you cry?

Me? I remember having a reaction (even as a young kid) to the GIVING TREE (by Shel Silverstein). As an adult, I’ve gotten misty-eyed over a few novels–most recently, HER LAST BREATH (by Linda Castillo), and out-and-out cried reading YOU ARE SPECIAL (by Max Lucado) to my kids when they were younger.

Your turn.

Caption This

Okay, everyone, put on your creative hats and caption this photo:003

You can include the entire background, of course, but the letter people are the stars of the photo.

Ready?

Go!
