With the Wild In The Not-So Wild

I’m heading to PA for two back to back reader events tonight/tomorrow. So, for today’s post, I thought I’d share four of my favorite snapshots from the Bronx Zoo yesterday…

This little guy had a pile of leaves he was munching on and playing with. Of course, after I snapped this, he gave me an even better look, but by then, I’d put away my phone.

Polar bears are DD # 1’s favorite zoo animal…

bronxzoo2brownbearsYou know how, every once in a while, you go to the zoo and the animals are really active? That’s the...

The Moment of Truth

Yesterday, when I was finished with my day’s writing, I needed a little while to kind of unwind before moving on to the rest of my day. So, I flopped on my bed for about twentyminutes and turned on the Hallmark Channel. At the moment, they’re showing original Christmas movies and one with Lacey Chabert (Party of Five fame) called A Family For Christmashad just started. I only watched for a while (not because it wasn’t good–it actually was–but because Ihad other things to do) but what I saw wa...

Some Bits

It’s time for Bits & Pieces.

1) Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car?

2) Have you ever had a nickname? What was it?

3) How many pillows do you sleep with?

4) Have you ever had a secret admirer?

5) Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Fun, huh?

The Write Facts

Since I like to do writing-related things on Thursday, I thought I’d just share a few of my own personal writing facts…

1. My word count goal for the next 20 days is 2,250 words per day (every day). To put perspective on this, 2,250words is equivalent to about nine pages.

2. My writing time is in the morning and, if I’m moving slow or become distracted, leads into the afternoon. If I’m on my game, I can be done before lunch (it’s a joyous thing when this happens).

3. When I’m done with my cur...

Up To You

I don’t really have anything for you today. Brain still a bit fogged.

So, how about we talk about your perfect summer day. What would it look like/entail?

Just Today

For today, I’m going to direct you to my post on the Whodunit Authors blog. Normally, I’d write something else for here, but when you read the post you’ll know why I just can’t.

I will be back here tomorrow.

Hugs to you all!

Post Fourth Question

So there is something kind of special about having your own personal firework display in your yard, especially when it entails loved ones and lots of laughter.

That said though, what is the best firework display you’ve ever seen? If you have a second for this, you can share that, too.

Hope your weekend was fun!

A Few New Things

A few things to report this morning.

1) Both my Laura Bradford website and my Elizabeth Lynn Casey website are now responsive sites. So if you want to access either from your phone or a tablet, you’re good to go. And, of course, they both look the same as you remember if you’re on your computer.

2) I have been given the go-ahead to unveil the cover for the next book (# 5) in my Amish Mysteries–A CHURN FOR THE WORSE. The book will release on March 1st and it can now be pre-ordered. In the mean...
