Heading Out

We’re heading up to the Berkshire Mountains today for a much needed family week. It’s been a bit crazy lately.

If I have internet, I’ll post. If I don’t I won’t. But either way I’ll be back here next Monday with picture and stories, I’m sure.

For now, have you ever made a purchase that you took back because it ended up being awful?

P.S. check out THIS POST if you get a chance:

Still Awake

It’s 7:30 a.m. and I have been awake since this same time yesterday.

I’m a bit tired, but I can say that I finished Needle and Dread! I still have a few grueling days of edits in front of me, but the biggest hurdle is behind me now.

I’m gonna take a blogging break for the rest of the week, so I’ll see you again on Monday, okay?

In Your Hands

Today there will be no coming up for air at all as I move toward the end of the latest book. If all goes well (cross fingers), I will type “The End” and some point today (likely in the wee hours of tomorrow morning).

Then I print it up and edit the bejeebers out of it.

One of my many carrots at the moment? Reading, reading, reading.

Can’t. Wait.

What are you reading now? Are you enjoying it so far?

Monday, Monday

I’m in that phase of writing right now where I don’t come up for air for hours. I’m entering the home stretch and it’s literally all I can focus on at the moment.

The living roomcouch (aka “my office” for the last few books) is covered in notebooks, papers, and character cards. I have literally no idea what food we do/don’t have in the house, and I’m crossing my fingers the new laptop I just bought will hold up for two more days before I take it back to the store and return it under their “no...

Bits O’ Bits

Bits Time!

1) You have one free hotel nightin any town/city in the USA. Where do you go?

2) Breakfast in bed or breakfast outside?

3) Favorite dinner your mom used to make?

4) Favorite dinner YOU (or your spouse) make (s)?

Have a great weekend. I’m going to be hunched over a computer for most of mine, but if all goes well, I’ll be done by this time next week…

Fill In the Rest of the Sentence

Sorry about disappearing on you all yesterday. My laptop died (with no warning) and I had to spend the last day or so scrambling to 1) pick a new one (not fun when unexpected), and 2) wait to see if my stuff could be recovered from the old one (it was!).

Losing those two days from writing (with a deadline looming) was not much fun, I’ll tell you that much.

Anyway, I thought I’d see if I could get a fun prompt to work with you today.

Finish this sentence however you want: I knew my cat had it...

Waiting In The Wings

I’m literally two weeks away from being able to read for pleasure. I already have the first book (of what I hope will be many over a 5-6 week period) picked out–Linda Castillo’s latest.

What are you reading right now?

July Postcards From The Road Part 1

I’ve got two photos from last night’s event at Aaron’s Books in Lititz, PA to share with you. Wish I had more, but since I was the one talking, it was hard to take pictures.

This sign greeted me when I walked up to the shop at 5:45. This will definitely go down as one of my life’s pinch-me moments. :)

The event started at 6 p.m. and the dinner (lasagna) was delicious. Sam, the shop’s owner, and her mom outdid themselves. Then, while everyone was finishing up their dinner, I talked about both...
